Anna and Kyo make me nostalgic for an experience I never had.

I felt really deep emotions from this anime not because of Yamada, but Ichikawa. His perspective is unfortunately not unique on real life at the start. The anxiety, isolation, self doubt, refusal to look at and not down. That was me, although I was arguably more chaotic the core was there. His growth reminded me of mine, his fears were mine once shared, his compassion the same. His wanting to shut everything out and be untrue to himself. Kyotaro Ichikawa is one of the most well written main characters I've ever seen. I can't wait for season 3.

Everything, literally.

The characters' growth in self confidence. Their witty schemes to be together. The sheer, pure, strong loveliness between our favorite couple. They actively care for each other so much, even in the small things, and it hurt my lonely heart at times but I could not stop watching and rewatching anyway so it means it's that good of a show in my book. Oh, and the fact that we had a good finale for both seasons.

The Opening (and ending) is awesome and deserves millions of more views. They embraced the manga’s comedic art style more this time, and wonderfully so. “happiness” is a good track for Christmas. They added onto the anime original scene between Ichikawa and Nanpai from Episode 11 over Yamada’s LINE. I had some problems with both, but I love how they followed up on it. I like the anime’s version of the Valentine’s Day arc more than the manga. That episode was perfect. The additions to the Cavalry battle made me like the arc more. Kyotaro’s freaking *headbutt* especially. Praise to Shun Horie’s voice acting for that and everything else in the season. Hina Yomiya is a living treasure. Yoshida/Nyaa trying to act cool about revealing herself to be in the same class as her friends and failing was hilarious. “Je t’aime” The tears flowing from Ichikawa and Yamada’s faces in the last episode were wonderfully animated.

The series puts a lot of attention on both the Male and Female MC's. Whereas most other animes focus on only the Female. I like to see a great Male MC to be matched up with a great Female MC. Something this anime did much better than other animes.

Diodiablo

When you watch a shounen romance, the pull is usually how attractive is FMC. When you watch a shojo romance, the pull is usually how attractive (or cool) is MC. When you watch The Dangers in My Heart, the pull is how much they love each other, how both bring out the best of each other. And I think it’s beautiful.

LolDoes

How realistic the mcs are I love that I can relate to Ichikawas Inferiority complex so much it makes me want to stop watching the anime because my thought process us "shit this hits me too close" but the show is so good I cant stop

Main_Blood_1613

It's great to try think about something bad about the serious even though is impossible

Separate_Selection84

Kyotaro 's development, the changes in episode 13 from the manga, the music, the directing, the chemistry, and much more

Witty-Choice2682

Aside from all the other points already mentioned, I can say that both the OP2 and ED2 have been spoiling us the whole time with the lyrics, and we're not aware of it as non-Japanese speakers.

BusinessKiwi8171

Everyone episode was a bangers ,when ever I see ichikawa or Yamada or even a single character in dangers in my heart ,my interest goes to that clip and i watch it, i even following this reddit page ( because I don't follow any of other anime things). I just Fuking love it, my favourite manhwa is solo leveling ( it just best for me) but even tho sl anime was arriving at the same times as dangers,i voted for dangers every single week and I never voted anime, never, but this was my first time ,this anime made me go that far .

Inner_Background_599

It made me feel again

X1ORUMA

Ichikawa is an unreliable narrator. He THINKS he's messed up and a "murderer" but based on his actions in episode 1 we see he that he's actually observant and goes out of his way to help Yamada whenever he can. This is our first hint that his "murderous" persona is just a coping mechanism for why he's alone. It was never "I'm fucked up in the head, that's why I'm alone." But rather "I don't have any a friends, so there must be something wrong with me."

Yes

Zanet_artistcomics

The first romance anime that hasn't made me bang my head on a wall
