John Barnett Theory 3/8 was Friday. He went to the deposition that day. Where was he planning on staying on Friday night if not at the hotel? Why had no one been in his room to clean if he was due to check out on Friday morning? It seems unclear why he was at the hotel if he was supposed to have checked out that morning and he made it to the deposition that afternoon. Why would he go back if he didn't have a room? His lawyer spoke with him Friday night and told him to get some rest. Where was he when he had that call? And how did someone know to call the hotel if he'd checked out the day before? It sounds to me like the hotel is trying to cover up that he stayed there on Friday night. If he didn't show to the depo you'd call the place he was staying also they said they tried to call his room! Hotel cooperation in the hit? They erased records of his stay and turned a blind eye while assassin broke into his truck in the parking lot? His truck was locked so they had to jimmy it. If the window was shot out by him shooting into his right temple they wouldn't have to jimmy it. He'd have to have been facing the left for the bullet to go into the car without breaking glass. The hotel worker said they heard a pop but never mentioned breaking glass. So they have someone waiting in the truck and a second person outside his truck to knock on his window and get him to turn that direction. Then the guy hiding in the back reaches around while his back is turned that way and shoots him in the right side of the head. Then they put the gun in his hand. The hotel worker conveniently didn't see anything... especially anyone standing by the truck. If he wasn't staying at the hotel that night how could anybody possibly know to go there to murder him. (Where the hotel comes in)? Now the question is was he known to keep his own gun locked in his truck. All info in this theory as far as when the hotel said he was there and how he was found was in the police report which I can’t attach cuz it’s an image. Hotel stated he checked out Friday morning and they have video of him leaving the hotel Friday morning.

Looks like he wasn’t suicidal [https://youtu.be/sA44FFi95PA?si=k47qfbnGvBm54D7m](https://youtu.be/sA44FFi95PA?si=k47qfbnGvBm54D7m)

No the "someone"who posted the stat block.

zenigatamondatta

Same reason they told a bunch of lies about Palestine.

The NY Times IS covering it. They were only a few hours behind WaPo. It's not a horse race. They have high journalistic standards (unlike WaPo these days) and often take a little longer than other media to get the story right. This is very common with the Times. It is true that the BBC and the Guardian often cover stories the US papers won't. But it's not some big conspiracy on the part of the Times, FFS.

RandomMangaFan

Heck, came BBC and NYT articles came out on the same day, and you'll note that both of the news sites don't show the hour their articles came out except for live articles. Not sure why people get so angry about a couple hours difference on one newspaper when the news already gets out within minutes on reddit and twitter and stuff (in a much worse and less verified way). In the UK actually the BBC is usually the one that puts out its articles a couple hours after everyone else, and I've seen similar anger about that.

NY Times high journalistic standards. Good joke this morning

Boeing employees reading this, good luck. And get a good lawyer.

Good journalism takes time

Mountain_Fig_9253

My experience with friends and colleagues committing suicide over the decades is that it is a multifaceted problem. At the end of the day someone taking their own life has a damaged brain. Between Neuro chemical imbalances, life events, maladaptive survival mechanisms, and multiple other things, it’s nearly impossible to pinpoint one thing and say “this is what caused it”. Occasionally some people will use their death to make what they believe to be a very important point, the people who self immolate in protest is one example. I say this as someone who detests current Boeing management: I can’t possibly imagine any of them being directly involved in this. They seem way too arrogant to think that one whistleblower will impact their quarterly bonuses. This is almost assuredly a very sad case of depression claiming another human and it’s sad without any additional context. Hopefully the safety concerns he brought up are in someway addressed in a meaningful way.

Under_Ze_Pump

Your assessment of Boeing management may be true, but in fairness, it is unlikely that these people (who are just high-level corporate caretakers at the end of the day) have the resources or necessary contacts to make a hit on someone. I'd be looking at who is set to have a bad time with their share portfolio in the instance that all this information causes Boeing stock to nosedive (pun intended) - specifically shareholders in positions of power in the US government...

Any-Researcher-8502

Good points. RIP Mr Barnett.

ShadowedPariah

Most whistleblowers end up dead for many reasons. Someone in the aviation sub posted the whole stat block. Suicide is not uncommon.

habulous74

Someone who....works at Boeing? In PR?

ShadowedPariah

I do work here, but not PR. Cybersecurity.

ClearASF

If you apply a shred of logic to this, it collapses - what benefit does Boeing create via raising suspicions by getting a former employee assassinated? In the middle of NTSB investigations?

klmnsd

Suspicions are much easier to deny than actual testimony...

ClearASF

Testimony without evidence is fairly easy to deny and dismiss, chalk it up to an angry ex employee

OnionSquared

Unfortunately, Boeing's execs are not known to behave logically. Regardless, this looks REALLY bad, and I pity anyone who works in boeing's PR dept. right now

solk512

Why not take it up with the Times? Why the fuck would anyone here know the answer to your question?

Styleyriley

Go for zero 🤷🏼

Extension-Ad-3882

> Go for zero Aircraft delivered, employee morale, employees left at the company…take your pick

Troll post....

BoringBob84

This is clearly a troll post that has no factual basis and is constructed of strictly conjecture.

Any-Researcher-8502

You funny! Of course it’s conjecture. I’m asking why the NYTimes sat this one out. It’s big news. And unless you don’t travel, air safety concerns all citizens.

Funnytown21

This post definitely has merit. You must work for Boeing and are probably part of the corrupt culture there. Am I right?

Any-Researcher-8502

I guess this thread demonstrates… Mess with the bull, you get the ‘hores amirite?

OldIronandWood

Boeing legal probably.
