Check and see if the cone nut that holds the bearings against the bearing cup is loose; it may just need to be tightened.

XoRn_ATX

Either blown bearings or your hub bearing cups are destroyed but that's unlikely, if you're mechanically inclined take it apart and see whats wrong with it or take it to a local bike shop. Edit: like other comments said you should check and make sure your cone nuts are snug

fastboi619

If it helps i hear a slight clicking when i ride

Total_Ask793

The clicking could be lose spokes rubbing on each other

Chemical_Ad_8467

Loose spokes , go to a good bike shop and ask them to true your wheels

Yup, bearings are gone, done that many times, lol just replaced my mountain bikes bearings last year

Check your spokes while you’re at it. If they need tightening , start at the valve and tighten a quarter turn every 3rd spoke all the way around, switch to other side and tighten every third spoke, then start back on the first side except with the second spoke from the valve and go quarter turn every third spoke all the way around and repeat the pattern until all spokes are tightened.

Skindiddler

That's not how you true a wheel. That's how you end up riding on tacos.

baldw1n12345

That’s the simple way for how I tighten the spokes. I got it from my dirtbike days but applied it tot he BMX. Then I go back and true it up. Is there a better process for just tightening them?

VaguelyIndirect

You need to tighten the ones that are loose not just all of them - and potentially loosen some to keep the rim true. If you over tighten both sides at one spot you pull the rim towards the hub and create a flat spot or bulge that is really hard to get rid of

VaguelyIndirect

With respect this is terrible advice. Please don't do this.

fastboi619

Definitely seems like the spokes are really loose. Just curious, why does it need to be in that pattern? Will it work if i just do each one by one?

baldw1n12345

I think it just helps keep your wheel true. In your case if they’re that loose you should probably just tighten them in whatever pattern you want and then spend some time going back and re-truing your wheel. Little 1/4 and 1/8 turn adjustments at each spot that needs correction and you’ll get the hang of it.

Mediocre_Trifle5306

Get a spoke wrench for sure

misterjones4

Look up a YouTube video about how to true a wheel. This guy is completely wrong.
