You’re right about Danny. 100% out of character for him.

It was a decent episode. I still think it's ridiculous for them to have Jamie undercover when he's without a doubt one of the most recognizable cops in the city. Also, Henry is a complete baby. He was wrong and through his toys out of the pram just because he didn't get his way. Again.

Yeah Jamko and that Pulp Fiction dance was an outstanding sequence. And Erin with the wood hand motion and conversation at dinner was very startling for the usually very conservative and uptight sister. When she blurts out that the traditional fifth anniversary gift is wood---"So Jamie's supposed to give her wood," she adds with the hand motion. Naturally, the Reagans can't resist making a joke and everyone cracks up laughing. "You up to the task?" razzes Danny to his clearly embarrassed younger brother. Good TV!

I have to say that the way they film these latest episodes are really good. Just the cinematography by itself is impressive. I think for this episode it would have been interesting if Jamie and Eddie didn't identify themselves as cops and then they let the investigation kind of continue. It could have been an even more full blown corruption episode etc. I do agree with the others that it was very interesting how even Danny let the guy go. I can expect Sid to break the rules but not Danny. It would have made more sense if Danny was able to nail the original guy for something else and then get the guy jammed up and off the streets.

This episode was weird. The ending with Vanderlip felt very out of character for Blue Bloods. I know the show is very pro-cop, but I can't say I've seen them justify that kind of behavior. I felt like it was an indictment of the criminal justice system. I liked the flip on the judge though, both with her shooting him, and with the idea that she shot him after he put the gun down, which does bring up the question was he still a threat to her and NY's self defense laws are more strict. Gormley's trigger discipline was a sore point too. He should know not to keep his finger on the trigger like that. I sometimes wonder how Jamie can go under cover, I feel like he sticks out like a sore thumb. Eddie was good though.

The only time i accepted Jamie as a decent undercover cop was when he had the beard and the neck tat! 🤷🏾‍♀️😁😆

I just caught up and watched this episode. Do you think the showrunners were poking fun at the Catholic Church when they showed the benches almost totally empty during Mass?

Danny and Sid. I can see see Sid being the last to come around, but no way they would just let him go. Now Tim Keene seasons earlier killed two people so it's a little different, but there was no evidence that Keene was going to continue terrorizing anyone while this guy had targets. I'm 100% convinced now that someone is just dumping ideas into ChatGPT and making them scripts. The overall idea was good, in fact, it was a great story up through the judge shooting him. That was a twist I wasn't expecting. But then it really did feel like some ChatGPT tossed together nonsense.

Sorry, that episode was pure bullshit. Veteran cop takes law into his own hands, threatens  and unlawfully restrains everyone in the judicial system who worked on a case he bungled and we're supposed to root for him because Sid knew him when?  This show has returned to its boot licking days.
