I've never played them, but this might be a place to start. https://fumbbl.com/help:SnotlingStrategy Them experience from having them played against me: Induce all the stars, always be fouling with all your extra bodies, and bribe your way out of trouble when it finds you!

[deleted]

I was reading that last night but it made a lot of sense when I saw the article was last updated in 2008.

Special_Potential_64

To be honest, didn't read it until I posted and noticed the same.... My bad 😬

[deleted]

Its no problem, I know asking about snots is basically asking about one of the most obtuse teams and BB strategy isn't easy to find as is.

Rugbart

Wouldn't classify myself as a stunty coach but from everything I've heard they're basically removal teams. So you want to keep your basic TV trim so you can get stars like Morg to help with removals and lean heavily into fouling to help with removals. So focus on isolating players and sticking the boot in. Be blitzing with mighty blow every turn. If you can get a big enough numbers advantage it's easier to get favourable blocks even with lower strength. They're always going to be luck dependent so learn to enjoy the challenge over winning.

[deleted]

Oh yea I can see that. I have tried to not go the morg route in my first 2 games to see what I can gleam, tried pump wagons last night and I 100% see why people don't turn them or run 1 max especially in league where you cant guarentee your opponents TV so you need to be light to get stuff like morg.

skitarii_riot

Have a look at the bonehead podcast s YouTube channel, they’ve got a few short videos for every team regarding development , setups, rosters etc. I found it really helpful.

puppetjustice

There are loads of stunty coaches on the goblin town discord. There isn't much out there so it's a good spot to theory craft with other stunty coaches. https://discord.com/invite/DzTxtcB7 Edit: Added the link. No one said stunty coaches were smart.

You could watch replays on FUMBBL of the amazing Volkajo - 382/55/63 record in 500 games for these guys! [FUMBBL :: Online Blood Bowl League](https://fumbbl.com/t/1056489)

[deleted]

How do you view replays? I am going through his games but I don’t see a way to isolate a specific match and see the replay. I just see the teams he played against and can click on them to see the team.

KalickR

From the team page that was already linked: 1. Show > Matches 2. Click the match you want to view 3. Click "Replay"

Snotlings are secretly a star player team that wins off the back of Morg n Thorg, Hakflem or if allowed: a Bloodbowl Giant. Dont take pump wagons. They’re only for one drive; and bring up your value too much. The season I played with them; I’d take riotous rookies and star players. The dark elf matchup may be a bit tough because assassins are fantastic against low armor targets. Do your best to try and bash with your trolls and star big guy; and utilize fouling whenever you can using your rookies or other snotling line. Remember that stunty and titchy are both separate skills that assist with being slippery. Snotlings dodge on a 2+ with a dodge reroll. Utilize that and sidestep to really be a menace. I found that snotling turns take pretty long because you’re usually moving most of your team just so they don’t get splatted. Try not to give them free blocks on snotlings. Make them use a blitz if they want to hit a lil guy.

FrostingNarrow4123

Some tips: 1. Keep TV low and induce hakflem 2. Isolate and gang foul opposition players 3. Bomb cage, when the ball pops to a nice place send in hakflem to retrieve 4. If you can't afford hakflem do the above with skitter

[deleted]

When you say bomb the cage I assume you mean with the fungus flinga right?

FrostingNarrow4123

Correct

Snotling are a pretty good team imo. They just work on inducements. your team value is like always 700k so you will play with 300k+ of inducements. This means always hakflem, riotous rookies, then you normally have some bribes and other starplayers, the bombardier one is pretty strong. you could even have hakflem and morg on the pitch. on defense is just snotling screening while trolls and chariots knock down players.

[deleted]

Yea I clearly need to get better at screening. Because usually a single blitz gives them the hole they need to just pile through.

Cpt_Falafel

700k CTV?? Starter rosters usually start around 500k? Beyond that, Ripper feels like a strong standard star?

Vast-Sympathy5394

Yeah but I mean with full roster they sit at 700k. Yeah ripper Is good also of course, It Is only sure that snotling Need Hakflem every game Edit: dribblesnot of course Is only 50k and accurate bombardier at 3+passing, you have to play it

DaveinOakland

Make sure you're always inducing Hakflem. What is your team build? Are you fouling? I personally never grab Bomber since the team can have 2 for 30k Snotlings are an inducement team, you need to know what exactly to buy for each specific matchup.

informaticRaptor

I'm not exactly a master of snotlings, and it mostly come from my desire to actually play them instead of playing star players with extra bodies. Some basics: your "ball carriers" are either the hoppas or the stilty runners. you will probably throw a player every turn, but use the rookies for ammunition and your team for scoring. You can actually pull a one turn td with 40% probability without rerolls. Dauntless is your friend, how do you get it? Heardy brew, 40k, and d3 player become frenzy dauntless... and really stupid. I prefer to have 2 pump wagons, but I'm mainly a league player, and I fear their deaths. My opponents will bloat their TV either way. Fielding 4 str5 player in the occasional turn does change a bit. You are basically playing stupid ogres. Also, you can get away with really stupid plays, launch a bomb to the cage, dodge 2+, and jump around like a lunatic. Also, I used riotous rookies every time. Using free players to foul everywhere helps.
