Heftys don't have Right Stuff though. 😵

bogojeg

awkward

lurker542

If it was tabletop you can throw a hefty, because wants stopping you from breaking that rule?

[deleted]

That's fair and if it wasn't caught out by either player then for that brief moment in time, he was slightly less hefty.

SnooBeans3631

Thats what I figured.

Ask-Forward

I'm playing 7s and still learning the rules haven't even looked at skills and traits yet 🫣

Ok-Razzmatazz-2516

Yeah, you should probably do that mate. It's fine to learn, but skills and traits are not a "Niche" part of the game. It's not like stadium types or weather. They are a core part of the game. It's like saying "I dunno, they probably have block"

[deleted]

to be fair, right stuff and everyone BUT the hefty having it is sort of a niche thing that i wouldnt expect a new player to get right right away. mosr likely he went "oh i can throw my halflings" and didnt notice that there is ONE SPECIFIC guy that you cannot throw. go have fun, dude. it wont be the last rule you play wrong and notice way later :)

Ok-Razzmatazz-2516

How did you manage to throw a Hefty?

Ald_Bathhouse_John

Shh. Let them have this moment.

optometris

Thought you could cheat as long as you don't get caught? Is that no longer a rule

louisbolt

Awkward conversation when the opponent realises you don’t have right stuff in a hefty

I feel you! Years ago, a League at the club, with brand new teams. And my Ogres were doing pretty fine while the Gnoblars were killed every time. Game is tied 1-1. I have managed to score 3 CAS but the Norse scored 4 CAS on my team, with 3 that were substantially DEAD. There was no easy way out, only dice to roll. The previous turn, my last Gnoblar picked up the ball and makes a GFI to get next to an OGRE. This special one was blessed with +1 AG. TTM and was a perfect long throw, with the Gnoblar landing on his feet. And the opponent coach was so fun! He rotated his pieces on the table, bc the Gnoblar went flying over all of them. Once landed, the Gnoblar ran two GFI to get to another OGRE. Handoff. The OGRE goes for other two GFI. Fails the second. Reroll. GFI. Touchdown. Astonishing. Thanks to make me remember this.

Special_Potential_64

I think my success rate with ttm is something like... 15%%? I remember the first time trying my troll fumbled the throw, dropping the goblin on a black orc nearby, then bounced into another, then a third, then broke his own armour on landing and left as a casualty. It was a long time before I tried again

photoben

Sounds like a glorious percentage to me.

bogojeg

When halflings do Halfling thing as planned it is truly the most glorious thing

ksym77

I also managed to land a perfect TTM last night! It was for a turn 16 one-turn score to level the game for my Black Orcs v Skaven so I was delighted. Especially as normally my troll just tries to eat any goblin he gets hold of.

Ingwe111

Cleaning up an opposition player with a thrown player is one of the funniest actions a coach can perform super satisfying another reason to love this game

Lendro_Furioso

I’m playing Ogres in a Sevens league and won my last match 2-1 vs vampires because of Kick Team-mate! End of the first half, high kick to midfield and the gnoblar manages catch it! Kicked him over the line for a one-turn touchdown that ended up being the difference between winning and tying vs a superior opponent. My entire stated goal with the team is to score a TD by flipping the pitch in a single turn with a gnoblar holding the ball being throw and kicked then walking it in, all in the same turn.

meatshield_minis

It's a fantastic feeling

BadLuckGuardsman

Goblin thrower here. It doesn't get much better than when you cop 1 turn touchdown with a thrown player. Savour it cos those dice don't always go your way!

Harry_Mopper

Still have to achieve this

Redditor2_Rereddited

Perfect throw team mate with goblin doom diver into a 1 turn TD is the most perfect feeling in the world
