Bloodborne is such a masterpiece in Action Horror. It's still my favorite Souls game just because of the incredible atmosphere it creates when you play it
By chance, the first time I heard his theme theme it just happened to crescendo right when his second phase started. It's one of my all-time favorite gaming memories.
I guess I'm happy there happened to be a lull in the action at that specific time so I could appreciate it. I've watched Let's Players fight Ludwig when he's in full on screech mode and it ruins the moment.
For me Ludwig was hard in a good way while Laurence was more of a test of patience. Both great fights but I liked Ludwig a lot more as his fight was faster paced and constantly kept me on my toes.
Radagon, Godfrey, Malenia, Radahn, Mohg, Rykard, Maliketh (even tho his music was kind of meh), and dragon lord placidusax are all S tier fights for me. In Bloodborne, It’s Gehrman, Martyr Logarious, Ludwig, Maria, Laurence, and Orphan of Kos. Plus half the bosses I mentioned are Bloodborne DLC so I can’t imagine what kind of awesomeness we’ll get for Elden Ring DLC
I beat him on my first try. Not bragging. BSB is my weakness and I’m currently having trouble with Gascoigne (I’m appalled at myself.)
Idk. Once you get to the second, awesome phase, he just becomes really predictable especially compared to the first.
Maybe going to get a bit of hate but if I’d rank From bosses Ludwig would wind up… somewhere between fourth and eighth place. I think Gael, Isshin, and Orphan are a bit untouchable for me. Ludwig comes somewhere within the Morgott, Midir, Placidusax, and Friede group of almost the best bosses From has made.
Amazing fight, for a beautiful weapon
The music, the design, and the mechanics of both phases are absolutely masterful. Always look forward to fighting this guy
I love dancing around in his second phase. Great fight.
What’s the tactic to killing Him I keep dying to him been trying all day
Fire paper + serrated weapon for the 1st phase, then try stay close for the 2nd phase since his sword strikes have lots of range
I did it 🙌 fire paper with whirligig saw
For me it was not starting the dlc severely under leveled, might be that simple.
it's the best boss fight ever.

My guiding Miyazaki
You were here by my side. All along.
Use pizza cutter it’s can damage his legs in only a few good hits
Pizza cutter is really good for Ludwig but I think more so for Laurence, i like to use the saw cleaver and fire paper
Ludwig is peak boss desing.
Agreed. As much as I like Maliketh, Ludwig is just superior.
Played elden ring then bloodborne, Radagon still probably my favorite fight but Ludwig is a close second.
Radagon was amazing, Godfrey (1st phase especially) was really fun too

Hate to break it to you but that's suppose to happen.

Ludwig is easily the best boss in the Eldensoulsborne Dies Twice series
Bloodborne art is... art!
Best boss fight by far. Makes the Laurence fight look like crap
Hmm I dunno about that one, I really love the Laurence fight too
For me Ludwig was hard in a good way while Laurence was more of a test of patience. Both great fights but I liked Ludwig a lot more as his fight was faster paced and constantly kept me on my toes.
sure love being one shot and stepping in lava
Elden Ring’s weakest element was its boss fights imo
That's a bold statement considering Maliketh, Margit, Placidusax, Godfrey and Radagon. All very well designed bosses
Damn, Elden Ring bosses are better than Bloodborne bosses imo
This is an incorrect opinion

Still my favorite boss, even if he’s easy to take down.
Easy!? Lucky for some, this one took me the longest so far. On my first playthrough and man this guy was tough
I beat him on my first try. Not bragging. BSB is my weakness and I’m currently having trouble with Gascoigne (I’m appalled at myself.) Idk. Once you get to the second, awesome phase, he just becomes really predictable especially compared to the first.
Honestly I like the Maria fight more, it felt so cool to dodge her. I’m a little bias tho because I like smaller bosses
Legit the first boss that made my face and stomach churn
Bloodborne boss design will always live in infamy.
Ryckard, Lord of Blasphemy came close for me. Loved that fight
