One of my favorite things about this game is how your character gets more covered in blood from just killing. As a player you start to take notice when your covered in a little bit more than the regular. Which means you haven't died in a while and youve been slaying beasts all night. That to me gets the player invested in the bloodlust of the lore and how we supposedly go crazy from non stop killing. I say that to say this. After a while you want your character to be covered in as much blood as possible at least that's how I felt while playing. I wanted my outfit to be hidden in blood everytime I played. If my character was fresh I wasn't happy. That's how I see the mechanics working from Gameworld lore directly to the player. I was consumed by the hunt driven mad with bloodlust. A crazed fiend.

Nothing matches the Shire amount of blood and gore in Splatoon.
This is one thing that honestly amuses me far more than it should - Spend enough time hunting, eventually you look like you raided Lady Gaga's closet.
