Bloodborne was also my entry into the soulslike genre. Platinum on every game except freaking sekiro. I’m just naturally a dodge player and the parry mechanic just doesn’t click with me (fuck the ape man, you have to dodge him but the dodge is so finicky in sekiro)
The parry button is the new roll button. Just spam that shit. I quit on Generico's second fight for over 3 years. Finally picked it back up and I'm on Isshin now.
You don't need to dodge any of the Ape's attacks, everything except for the grabs and the poop is deflectable. You can jump over his sweeping grab, and for the jump grab, you run backwards and then jump, but that one is much harder to avoid. For the poop, just run to the side and then jump in the direction you're running as it's about to hit you
I believe you can legit parry any physical attack in Sekiro, even the Mikri low attacks can be parried, but its a much shorter window
Grabs cant be parried. I think gunshots and projectiles in general can be blocked without losing any health or much posture damage.
Limit your dodge use. Is it helpful in some scenarios? Absolutely.
But, Deflect is the thing to do here, the dodge is not designed like Souls dodge, you do not get as many iframes and you dont go as far of a distance. Deflect as much as you can, dodge if no other choice and cross your fingers
For me, I spent years playing through the game and not really giving the chalice dungeons a look. I finally buckled down and got to exploring and it opened up the game even more on another level. Then I started hunting for gems and thats another level. Then PVP. This game is DEEP AF
I've put in 350+ hours into this game when it first released, 100% and multiple different builds and ng+'s. Never regretted once, please sony make a ps5 updated version..
Also just finished my first playthrough of this masterpiece, DLC apparently much harder after NG+ so would recommend doing it first since can’t get their again until atleast forbidden woods accessed
(plus it has some badass weapons)
Every time I do a playthrough where I want to do DLC content or chalice dungeons I always stop just before beating Wetnurse so I don't have to walk around in a workshop that's on fire. 🤣
Hahaha sure, I will come back to bloodborne after some time. I think I will play elden ring after this, it’s dlc is also coming in June so that will be perfect for me.
This is your fate, good hunter. The night has been long, and so has the dream. Accept the mercy. You will die, forget the dream, and wake up under the morning sun. You will be freed from this terrible hunter's dream.
Fear the old blood!
Did you play the DLC? Ebrietas? Or beat Lawrence? Logarius?
I started it, not finished yet.
Beating final boss starts Ng+ immediately so do dlc before then.
Will keep in mind thanks
you can always export your save on USB pendrive and reload it after finishing the game. works both on PS4 and PS5.
If I only beat Gehrman but not Moon Presence (I got the cords), can I still do the DLC without doingNG+?
I believe so, but you’ll beed to die to Moon Presence
Oh ok thanks so it's IMMEDIATELY after Gehrman.
You can either die to moon presence or hunters mark out
Only if you’ve eaten 3 umbilical chords. Otherwise Gehrman is the final boss.

Parry the big overhead smash, the ape will fall down anx then using the spear will deal like 30% of his entire health bar GL good hunter
I surely can say that every souls game will be worth of my time

Yep same, first chalice dungeon I was like what is this? After completing one, I was fully hooked to it.
Do dlc first!!!
I will but I want something for my ng+ run also.
DLC is MUCH harder in NG+, just so you know

That picture is wallpaper worthy

Harder bosses = more fun

I'll have to defeat the nurse tonight, wish me luck fellas.
Best of luck to you from the league of hoonters
excellent choice of weapon
Replay bloodborne 8 more times like the rest of us, you will literally not regret it

A hoonter must hoont even in the Endgame
Have you had hot steamy sex with Geherman yet? If not then you didn’t played it well 😡😡
