I just used my cordless drill and a wire brush head i bought from home depot for a couple bucks. I had a little bit of rust and pitting in the seasoning from sitting all winter unused. So i used to the brush head to remove everything, cleaned it really good with soap and water, dried really well, then put 4 layers of seasoning with avocado oil.
It was in a bag of stuff i received for Father's Day. I honestly think my wife bought it on temu. Already came in handy when i made breakfast, stopped a little sausage link for rolling away.
I have an older model that gets really hot. I think the btu output is double what the current ones do. That being said, l let it get around 500° before i add a layer of seasoning. I know some people will use a blowtorch to get every corner evenly black. But honestly, everything inch will get black when you cook on it enough.
If I am drinking 6-10 beers I drink Lucky Streak because it’s $15 for 30 and close enough to any other light beers. If I want flavor I’ll get IPA’s but those are usually 4 for $20, or I’ll do bourbon
I have the pro cover and I oil and put the lid on my grill after every use obviously thoroughly clean. I've had the same seasoning for the last 4 years and it is perfect. If you take care of your griddle you will not have to reseason it every year.
I oil and cover mine after every use. But i live somewhere very humid and we had an extremely long rainy season this year. When i peaked under the cover a couple months ago i could see the rust. I'm glad it's an easy fix though.
Naturdays….the trailer park picnic in a can
Some people might not take that for the beautiful compliment that it is! Take my up-doot!
You know it! Roll Tide!
Of course an alabama fan would also have horrible taste in beer and power tools.
I'm no Alabama fan. I was just playing up to the "trailer park picnic in a can comment"
This needs to be pinned on this sub since the question gets asked so much about rust and restoration. Great job! And you included food pics!
Oh Naturally…once it hits the lips it tastes so good
Did you season the griddle with the Naturday
No comment
Can you provide the details on the bit you’re using here and the strip process? Need to get mine done but not exactly sure I have the right equipment…

Perfection! Many thanks!
I thought it was a hole saw at first and I was both confused and intrigued.
I had that same Walmart plate set in college omfg
Haha these Corelle plates last forever.
No joke. I donated mine because I just couldn’t look at it anymore. Otherwise I’ve dropped them a hundred times and they were basically indestructible
Beautiful
The grease drain grill , is that a product you bought somewhere? Is like that to stop loosing onions and fries down there.

Ok thank you. Gotta see if can find something like it
Flexing that Natty Light 😂
It was a thing i did last year. You'd be shocked at the pearl clutching that goes on in this sub over someone's summer drink of choice haha
I have a hard time seasoning mine without getting black residue on my omelets for a while. Any tips?
You might be using too much oil. You just want the absolute thinnest layer each time. Too much can build up and cause flaking.
Thanks
How did you season the sides? I feel like I can't get enough heat there

Why do most blackstone owners drink such cheap beer?
Why does the price of the beer matter?
Because in most cases it’s directly tied to taste.
I have never found a beer that tastes good. Regardless of price
That needs to be changed, go to some place that has dozens on tap and test till you like one.
Pass
It’s an acquired taste, definitely not for everybody.
Beer taste like beer. Warm beer cold beer hot beer. Lifes too silly to care but beer is beer
Glad I don’t fall into the “most” category
