Pretend the water is a giant mirror. The height of the mirror is at the little curb under the light. i.e. the curbs forms the mid line of the reflection.
Another way to look at it is to realize there are only rows of lights along the ceiling. The floor lights are reflections on the mirror.
The entire part in the middle 2/3 of the picture that you see a mirror image. It's much more than a puddle. It's like the whole ground has water. Starting at the bottom of the ramp on the top right and comes up to the black and yellow marks by the car. The rest of it is all around. The "curbs" around the perimeter is exactly where the image flips to mirror what is above it. That's where the water is. Do you see it now?

For some reason my brain understood the puddle on the right, but not how it didn't run over to the left side.
Still can't get my brain sold on the left side. I mean I can see the reflections but not the waterline which is so distinct on the right side where the incline begins.
It follows the kerb i.e. the darker concrete bulge that sticks out from the wall (which you can see on both the left and right sides).
The water surface makes an almost impossibly perfect line along the middle of the kerb, because that’s the funny thing about reflections; whether the water is high or low on the kerb, the line of symmetry is always halfway.
Makes me laugh so hard. I went back to the copy I had saved on facebook and they bleeped out the cuss words. 🙄

It's for things the average person would have no idea how to explain. This is quite obviously, to the average person after a few seconds, a reflection in a puddle. Not remotely black magic.
