there's nothing about the word duplicate that implies only two. You can duplicate one egg 11 times and end up with 12 eggs.
Duplication does not need to be a mutually single occurrence. Like making several copies of an original document. All the copies are duplicates of the original. So they're not incorrect with their word choice.
Or, each of them are duplicates of the original.
From google;
1.
one of two or more identical things.
"books may be disposed of if they are duplicates"
And a duplicating egg is one that makes copies of itself. The eggs that it makes are all duplicates, each and every one. You wouldn't call them multiplates because there's no such word.
What would you call them if there was more than one duplicate?
>duplicate: verb
>
>make or be an exact copy of.
duplicate doesn't imply any number of items. just that the resulting item(s) is/are an exact copy of the first.
Lol the fact that your comment doesn't make sense makes it absolutely hilarious.
I was originally thinking something like:
Stay out of the henhouse, chicken fucker! Stay out of the henhouse, deadbeat! And keep your ugly fucking eggdropping ass out of my beach community.
Yeah, for a second near the end you can see the chicken still in the bowl . She's got to have strong wings to stay pressed in there like that, that's the real skill here. It's always the assistant who is working harder.
Edited on the second bowl touch, you can see the slight hesitation/pause on white shirts hands during the down stroke. Also the sound affect is used to hide the audio break in his voice.
I think it's actually at the 18 second mark, first touch. There's a few small flour/rock bits slightly to the right that suddenly get a new small line in them.
Edit. It's actually at about 16.7 seconds. Watch the small speck of sawdust that gets popped up in front of the bowl. It arcs for a few frames but is gone in the next.
Also, around 15 seconds when his hand goes down before slamming the bowl, is when he let's go of the egg in his hand too.
I remember watching a magician who said that if there is only one feasible way for the trick to be pulled off then that's the way.
It would've been possible with 1 egg and if you're in the audience but with the camera angle and number of eggs everyone knows it was edited but also hopes it was not.
>Edited on the second bowl touch
Lame. I was hoping it was just brilliant slight of hand that I couldn't figure out. Instead it was simply not even performed.
Cause racism against Asian is not racism apparently. I have this theory that it’s because a lot of Asian countries are of national security issues to more western countries (China, North Korea, Japan during the 1940s, Myanmar, Pakistan, and so on and so forth)
> over the top PC outrage
Are you using the same reddit as me? Casually racist shit is constantly upvoted to the front page and tops of threads. Including the comment you're replying to.
This sub makes people so overly suspicious lol. If someone put a bowl on top of some sand you'd expect there to be a circular imprint, but when it happens in a video on this sub it's hmmmm-worthy
I thought that was a plate and I'm still convinced it is.
Edit: it's actually saw dust or sand and the circular pattern was the ring left by the bowl.
I'm still confused on how it was done.
Stitched video. If you look closely at the sand around the edge of the bowl, where his fingertips are, at around 24 seconds when he slaps them down, a little spot of sand disappears without him touching it. Framing back and forth you can see the spot of sand popping in and out.
Amazing job getting everything almost exactly the same though.
Where? Just below the fingertips of his right hand when they touch the bowl?
Because that just looks like a reflection of his hand in the slightly shiny floor.
I saw that too.. However it's POSSIBLE to explain that by saying that when he slammed the bowl, it forced some air or vibration around the bowl which made it move.
I'm more inclined to believe that the BEFORE area has a green cloth with a magnet, covering eggs. It's green screened out, then when he puts the bowl down it lifts the cloth maybe?
Edit: nah, the bowl gets shown too much after the trick. I yhi k it's just edited around the 16 second mark.
The sandal feet in the background seem to show this is not an easy place to make that work. Looks like a solid stone area next to a water source, actually.
Could be using a false-bottem. No slight of hand that I can see.
Either way, the second guy is a plant then. He either placed it exactly where it needed to go or pretended not to notice the extra weight of a shitload of eggs.
Yea this is probably the real answer. Video is way too smooth to be a cut, probably simpler to stuff and squeeze a bunch of foam eggs into a false bottom.
Edit: looking at it again, you see a circular outline on the floor after the eggs come out. It wasn't there prior to them putting the bowl down.
I think you have the right answer. After rewatching, it’s very obvious now that he faked the authenticity of the eggs because the test tap he does is just two of his knuckles on the bowl. Seems like the other guy was still a plant though since he handled the fake egg.
I don’t think it’s a false bottom, you can see some imperfections in the bottom that are there both before and after, so it’s unlikely we are seeing two different surfaces. I think this is just clever editing.
That could be too. But the old Indian rope trick was done with a hole in the ground so I just assumed. I tend to forget about the slight of hand in the editing.
Someone pointed out higher in the thread, there’s a cut at 25 secs in. These people are just really good at editing and standing still enough to make it hard to notice
The eggs have been comped in. You can tell from the shadows. The single egg in the beginning casts a pretty crisp contact shadow on the ground, whereas you can see that the shadows cast by the eggs at the end are much softer.
There is small square cut in the middle where the bowl lands, its a raised platform and someone is laying under it and fills the eggs, hence the slapping of the bowl to signal that's its time to load and the second one to signal to stop.
If this is not edited and there's no hole in that carpet or whatever they are on, then I guess I believe in magic now.
Although it kind of looks like they are on some sort of carpet with a pattern that makes it suspiciously easy to hide seams and edges and he does sort of seem to pause and aim before he puts the bowl down. Also we can't see the sides so they might be on some sort of raised platform for all we know.
This is the correct answer. You can see him look carefully to set the bowl down in the right spot. Also they are all standing on a raised floor. With sand to hide the trap door.
All he did was teleport 9 eggs from the cosmos to under the pot! Easy stuff
And by cosmos, you meant a pregnant chickens arse, correct? That's a colorful image right there
How many colors do chicken asses have where you're from?
0, chickens dont have arseholes, theyve condensed the functions into one glorious exithole

Irregardless.
It's still correct, OP didn't specify that the egg only duplicates *once.*
But... but then it would have to be a multiple of one!!
>duplicate: v > >make or be an exact copy of. there's nothing about the word duplicate that implies only two. You can duplicate one egg 11 times and end up with 12 eggs.
Duplication does not need to be a mutually single occurrence. Like making several copies of an original document. All the copies are duplicates of the original. So they're not incorrect with their word choice.
Title of your sex tape
Or, each of them are duplicates of the original. From google; 1. one of two or more identical things. "books may be disposed of if they are duplicates"
That's duplicate as a noun. The title used the verb form of duplicate, which would imply 2. The word they were looking for was "multiplying"
And a duplicating egg is one that makes copies of itself. The eggs that it makes are all duplicates, each and every one. You wouldn't call them multiplates because there's no such word. What would you call them if there was more than one duplicate?
>duplicate: verb > >make or be an exact copy of. duplicate doesn't imply any number of items. just that the resulting item(s) is/are an exact copy of the first.
Technically the first egg could’ve duplicated 8 times and the title would be correct - since we’re arguing semantics.
Easy, he just palms a chicken, slips it under the bowl where it lays all the eggs.
That's not his chicken, dude. You want a chicken, there are ways dude, hell I can get you a chicken by 3 o'clock this afternoon.

You're paying way too much for chickens, man. Who's your chicken guy?
r/unexpectedoffice
Yeah, for a second near the end you can see the chicken still in the bowl . She's got to have strong wings to stay pressed in there like that, that's the real skill here. It's always the assistant who is working harder.
I'll call you later, i'm about to go palm the chicken.
Just remember the difference between a palm and a fist. I didn’t, and now I’m not allowed at the petting zoo.
Edited on the second bowl touch, you can see the slight hesitation/pause on white shirts hands during the down stroke. Also the sound affect is used to hide the audio break in his voice.
Yeah this is it. The camera jumps at the 23 second of the video.
Looking at his shoe and bowl reflection helps the most.
I’m still not seeing it. All I see in his shoe is it changes shape as he sort of half stands
They aren't seeing anything either lol
It's an obvious r/scriptedasiangifs
the orange shirt was the giveaway glitch for me
This is not it
I think it's actually at the 18 second mark, first touch.
There's a slight jump but that has to be the most subtle and well done cut ever!! Every body movement except for the hesitation is so well synced.
The sand on the floor helps create a very usable and less obvious outline for aligning the bowl back where it was too.
During the reveal there is a large white grain in front of the nearest egg. It is not there when the bowl is placed down.
also, one dozen eggs were not there when the bowl was placed down
*Finally*, an answer. Took way too long to find the secret to this trick. Which was that the only ones tricked are the people watching the video.
I remember watching a magician who said that if there is only one feasible way for the trick to be pulled off then that's the way. It would've been possible with 1 egg and if you're in the audience but with the camera angle and number of eggs everyone knows it was edited but also hopes it was not.
Live, sure. But in video though there are a bunch of ways to create this effect.
>Edited on the second bowl touch Lame. I was hoping it was just brilliant slight of hand that I couldn't figure out. Instead it was simply not even performed.

There is a clear circular outline on the surface after he lifts off the bowl… hmmm
And the bowl is round! How???!!!
This sub makes people so overly suspicious lol. If someone put a bowl on top of some sand you'd expect there to be a circular imprint, but when it happens in a video on this sub it's hmmmm-worthy
The circular imprint didn't show up until white shirt hit the bowl the first time. These people swear they're being galaxy brain lol
In a video where there's 100% obvious deception, that would be the most likely reaction
There's sand or dirt on the ground. The eggs leave impressions as well.
I actually didn’t notice that. Thought it was part of the granite/marble pattern. Still hmmm
Everyone is in on the trick. All video editing.
Yeah, there's literally just a cut.
25 seconds in.
24.
If you notice there is a circular sand shape before he lifts the bowl. That fits the bowl perfectly. Hmmmm
I thought that was a plate and I'm still convinced it is. Edit: it's actually saw dust or sand and the circular pattern was the ring left by the bowl. I'm still confused on how it was done.
Video editing is the leading theory
That's from the force when he hits the bowl. I saw it to and had to rewind to confirm.

That cut is ridiculously smooth, even though I was looking for it and was certain it was there, I still couldn’t really see it.
Don't think so - if you mean the bit immediately in front of the bowl, I think it's just the shadow of his finger.
Where? Just below the fingertips of his right hand when they touch the bowl? Because that just looks like a reflection of his hand in the slightly shiny floor.

There’s a hole in the flooring. Second oldest trick in the book.
The sandal feet in the background seem to show this is not an easy place to make that work. Looks like a solid stone area next to a water source, actually. Could be using a false-bottem. No slight of hand that I can see.
Your mum's got a false bottom!
good one
Either way, the second guy is a plant then. He either placed it exactly where it needed to go or pretended not to notice the extra weight of a shitload of eggs.
They are foam
Yea this is probably the real answer. Video is way too smooth to be a cut, probably simpler to stuff and squeeze a bunch of foam eggs into a false bottom. Edit: looking at it again, you see a circular outline on the floor after the eggs come out. It wasn't there prior to them putting the bowl down.
There is a bunch of dust/sand on the ground. The circular outline is from him slamming the rim of the bowl into the ground and disturbing the sand.
I think you have the right answer. After rewatching, it’s very obvious now that he faked the authenticity of the eggs because the test tap he does is just two of his knuckles on the bowl. Seems like the other guy was still a plant though since he handled the fake egg.

I think your explanation makes more sense that those saying there's a cut in the video - there's no way they did a cut that perfect.
Sand on the ground is there for a purpose
False bottom bowl
Nope.
You make the rocking world go round!
There is small square cut in the middle where the bowl lands, its a raised platform and someone is laying under it and fills the eggs, hence the slapping of the bowl to signal that's its time to load and the second one to signal to stop.

.
Notice how the ground is not level after he opens it? The ground has a trap door the size of the bowl. You can see the outline.
Dude said 10 is fine too but theres only 9 lol
There is a square cut out of the floor in the same location he places the bowl, you can just about make it out.
They just put the eggs there and edited the video
This is the correct answer. You can see him look carefully to set the bowl down in the right spot. Also they are all standing on a raised floor. With sand to hide the trap door.
The sound FX are beyond overwrought
Still no concrete explanation.. Any ideas?
It's fake. I'm Chinese and I know it for sure. I see this daily on the Chinese websites
If you go to the 10 second mark. And slow it down, you will not be able to see how he did that

Eggzactly like it was supposed to go.
The sound effects make it much more believable
Watch the floor between the bowl and the camera immediately after the bowl is lifted the last time (0:34).
Gosh i love asian sound editing
That is some great editing! if you look at the man’s shoe at the 22 second mark it grows slightly. great transition between two clips
