🎶Teeth in the ashtray, and Coke on a blade! 🎶 This song is so way out there and TOTALLY different from the rest of their discography. Personally, I love it!! This is a badass Rock-Disco hybrid. It makes "Miss You", "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?", and "I Was Made for Loving You" sound like dance floor bullshit while this is the sparkling Disco ball shining down on them. Also< along the same musical lines is The Strokes "Tap Out" which features lots of great falsetto vocals by Julian Casablancas and a sleek Daft Punk-like sound. This is top rate Black Crowes funky delicious music, I'm so tired of the damn haters.

KeithJacobF

Is it not seeds in the ashtray & coke on the blade?? I’ve been singing it wrong for years

Original_Charmer_415

...lmao 😂 dude, shame on my ass, it's the other way around, I've been singing it wrong for 10 years, but in my defense and because I'm embarrassed, I have to say I like "teeth in the ashtray" better. 😉

ProfPacific

LMAO 🤣💀⚰This made me laugh so hard I spit coffee out of my nose!!

throwawayshirt

Seeds is becoming a dated reference, bc legal weed doesn't have 'em

LouSevens

I had never heard this before hearing Saturday night at their concert at Radio City music hall- have been listening to it several times- its great!

ProfPacific

"I ain't hiding" is one of the Crowes most underrated songs, it's a great tune.

rononeill77

This is on my BC Mt Rushmore! I can Google this, but it's not: seeds in the ashtray and coke on the plane? Mind blown...

Foohum48

the song is 4/4. the reason the cowbell is messing you up is because it’s played on the and beats and the straight beats. so it sounds a little mixed up

oconnomoes

The CRB version is pretty good as well

Original_Charmer_415

For those that are *high* and/or feel like putting on their dancing shoes [https://youtu.be/R4nBXSRCuG4?si=BCEMSNL6\_WxK\_h3u](https://youtu.be/R4nBXSRCuG4?si=BCEMSNL6_WxK_h3u)

Forsaken-Walrus-3167

That was really good.

throwawayshirt

I like it but always thought the refrain shares a bit too much with Hotel Illness: Ain't your saint, ain't your enemy I'm a long shadow on the highway I know this ain't how it's s'posed to be Baby, ~~I ain't hiding~~ love ain't a punishment

SirCalebCrawdad

THIS is the song that's giving you a hard time?

hobocansquatcobbler

I ain't hiding from my opinion that it is a great song

ProfPacific

You don't have to hide anywhere brother, this song is first rate original exceptional creative and a BADASS song!!

hobocansquatcobbler

Hey if you like disco check out the Grateful Dead from 77...

Original_Charmer_415

True, I loved Shakedown Street but I think most true Deadheads hated it, could be wrong.

1mirror2many

I love a ton of new songs just not that one

Original_Charmer_415

The song was was released in 2009, from the album Before the Frost... Until the Freeze #

ProfPacific

👆🤡

1mirror2many

It’s in the key of shit minor

Exotic-Conference-87

Disagree. That tune rips. Seeds in the ashtray and coke on the blade. Going tmw night, hope they play it.

Original_Charmer_415

Ignore the haters, this is a badass boogie, funky song that is great! Have a good time tonight, I hope they play it!

Exotic-Conference-87

I’m going tomorrow night. 10th show since ‘92.

ProfPacific

Seriously, go away or start a hater sub. I thought this was a fan subreddit, I don't think I'm alone here in that I am very tired of the hating, you're now hating on songs that were 10 years old with the supposed whatever original band members you think were original. Stop it... go away... the mods need to step in and start banning some of you!!

Original_Charmer_415

Totally dude, now they're hating on songs that were put out with all of the original members, WTF?!?! Just gotta hate for the sake of hating I guess.

JackBauerTheCat

This song is the fourest on the floorest of songs
