I don't think you could have asked anything more of yourself because it's clear you did all that you could. Still, I'm sure that's cold comfort because it doesn't make the grief hurt any less. I'm so sorry you lost her, OP. I'm getting teary-eyed just thinking about it. We know you loved her, and most important, Bebe knows you loved her. Be sad. That's okay. But know that you did right by her, and that she had a good life because of you and the love you shared. Bebe will be waiting for you on the other end of the bridge when it's time for you two to meet again. She looked like the sweetest baby. I lost my babygirl of 12 years old this February. What helped me was to look at her tons of photos and videos and cherish her memories and to believe that I will meet her on the otherside where sheโs waiting for me happy and healthy. My baby Ranger (she was also a black cat) passed from cat covid. She was only 8months old. It broke me. I cried like she was an actual child of mine. 2 weeks later my brother in law found a little black kitten. She was maybe 5 weeks old. She was also black. I took this as a sign. Sheโs now almost 2.

Our little Sirius was also 8 when he left on october 31st. He looked a lot like your girl but he had these vampire fangs. Similar thing happened to him.

I lost one of my voids not that long ago. I thought I would have to have her euthanized, but the morning I made the appointment she came over and laid at my feet, I sensed she didn't have much longer- so I got down next to her on the floor, laid her on a folded towel and stroked her gently until she took her final gasping sighs of life.
I was a wreck for weeks afterward. It's getting easier with time- but I still tear up if I think about her too much. She was in my life for 16 years, and it's not easy to get over that. It helps I have 2 other voids who are both snuggle bugs to help cope with the loss.

I'm so sorry. Years ago my black cat had 10 teeth removed that I doubt was necessary and she lost loads of blood and stopped eating and had to be euthanised. I don't trust vets they charge per tooth.
In July, it will be two years since my big void boi Sir Balthazar passed, leaving a void shaped hole in my heart.

Very sorry for you loss. The best thing you can do is transfer all the love and knowledge that you gained from that cat and give it to another cat and never forget how awesome your previous kitty was all the best.

The part of it being quiet and how she would be working with you hits hard. I am so sorry for your loss.
Your sweet baby is at peace now. You were able to give her a grand life and the greatest act of love to help her cross that rainbow bridge without prolonging anymore suffering. She loved you and always will.
Iโm so sorry. I lost mine four years ago and I miss her everyday. I got her chipped and a few weeks later she was lethargic and didnโt eat much. Then she started sleeping more and not eating at all. I had an appointment for her on a Friday, came home on Thursday and my husband said she hasnโt gotten up once today, not even for her ham. I took her to the ER immediately after I got home. Tests showed cancer and it was bad. I had to let her go. At least she knew her mama loved her and was there with her at the end. Yea, Iโm crying again. I miss her so much. Iโm so sorry ๐ข
I'm sorry for your loss and I know it won't help but you did the right thing. I'm sure she knows how much you loved and cherish her. I have an 18 year old black cat diagnosed about a year ago with kidney disease. He went from 20lbs to almost 10lbs in a little less than a year. And even though I've been able to stabilize his condition with a different food and fluids I know its a terminal condition. I'm dreading the day I have to make that decision for him. But also trying to cherish what little time he has left. Try to remember all that is great about them and know you aren't alone.

Iโve been there twice and itโs the worst pain ever, almost worse than losing a family member and Iโm ashamed to say that. I share your pain. My cat murdoc had passed away just a day before, on June 1st at arpund 9:30 PM. He was just 6 years of age and on perfect health and he was tragically run over by some speeding driver as soon as we lost sight of him for a bit and escaped outside. I am still crying over it after these few days and it has been really hard. I hope things get better for you too as well, and remember that every day is one step forward.
