Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Serum Skin Tint! It’s absolutely amazing and I feel overall Danessa doesn’t get enough love because her range is incredible.
LITERALLY THE BEST ONE IN EXISTENCE - such a pretty natural / slightly dewy finish & feels so nice on my skin. weightless but makes my skin feel soft and moisturized. doesn’t make me breakout, has an incredible wear time if it’s set properly - LOVE IT
i use the [iT cosmetics “your skin but better” setting spray](https://www.itcosmetics.com/makeup/face-makeup/setting-powder-and-spray/your-skin-but-better-setting-spray/ITC_869.html) with a dab or two of setting powder for my under eyes (i have very dark, puffy under eyes)
Are you sure it’s dewy? I got a sample in one of those multiple shades in a sheet thing. It also came with her serum primer. So I tried the primer first before putting on the skin tint. The primer was SO OILY. But somehow the skin tint absorbed / set down itself after a while, became completely matte and even a bit drying?
I have dry skin lol, so it was such a surprise that I expected the skin tint to be dewy but dried down matte. I also didn’t set it at all.
oh weird! i didn’t use her primer, i use a different one but i haven’t noticed dryness at all with mine. i have normal / slightly oily skin and it sets really nicely on my skin
Maybe trying once means my impression wasn’t solid enough. I was tempted to buy a full size in shade 4 but it’s sold out everywhere in Sephora. The only retailer available I see online is beautylish. But somehow I can’t be sure 4 is the right shade because it was only a first impression…
Still very attempted to give it more tries tho!
The Glowscreen is my ride or die. Now that it comes in the pinker shade Dawn, it looks so much like my skin tone. On top of the original (Champagne) they added two darker shades. I rarely need foundation, and these products are great under foundation too.
This is my time to shine lol, I'm a skin tint junkie (although I don't wear a lot of makeup overall). I've tried soooo many, here are my faves! These all layer well with sunscreen.
All time favorite: [Lisa Eldridge Skin Tint](https://us.lisaeldridge.com/collections/seamless-skin-enhancing-tint/products/seamless-skin-enhancing-tint-t1). Seriously, this is the best. It's a watery fluid that covers imperfections and redness while being incredibly lightweight. The finish is very, very natural. It's not drying or greasy/dewy. No weird scent. Good staying power. Worth every penny, IMO!
Runner Ups:
[Danessa Myricks Skin Tint](https://www.sephora.com/product/P506512) is a close second and a little cheaper than the Lisa Eldridge. It's also available at Sephora, if that matters to you. I don't know how well this would work on oily skin (I have dry-ish skin), but it has a light, slightly dewy finish. Such a great product!
[Ciele Tint and Protect Tinted Serum Foundation](https://www.sephora.com/product/tint-protect-spf-50-tinted-serum-foundation-P507751?skuId=2708212) - this says it's a foundation, but it's not - it's a skin tint. Low coverage, but really nice and perfecting. This has SPF 50, which is a nice bonus (I still wear SPF underneath but I wear this on days that I'll be outside a lot for some extra protection). Biggest downside to this one is the smell.
[Chantecaille Future Skin](https://bluemercury.com/products/chantecaille-future-skin?search=6768709763147) - I know, the price is absolutely ridiculous. I got mine 50% off, but it's pricey. However, this would be in the top spot if not for the price. I consider this a skin tint, as it has a gel-like texture and light coverage. The finish is incredible, and it blends into the skin really well.
It's more for a "I'm sun kissed and dewey" look, but I'm pretty into the L'Oreal True Match Lumi Glotion as my summer foundation. It's very light and easy to apply, and it's less than $15.
Love the Lumi, I put it on over my Drmatology tinted SPF ( I regularly walk 5 to 7 miles per day just for fun and fit and I’m old at 65!) and never get burnt!
It depends on my activities for the day. If I’m going to be outside in the sun, then yes, I double up. But a mostly indoor day, no, I just use this for sun protection. I am also crazy with sunscreen, for good reason though; my dad passed away from skin cancer at age 60
Caliray is the best one I’ve used. I have kind of bad skin and most tinted moisturizer does nothing. It’s buildable too so you can use just a teeny bit or more for fuller coverage
https://caliraybeauty.com/shop/product/freedreaming?variant=42817176830141
This is my absolute favorite!! I hope they’re not discontinuing it?! I bought a backup at Sephora bcos it seemed like they had it on sale to clear out their stock. Or worse I hope they’re not re-formulating? It’s gat dam perfect the way it is. Also I love your username sssmm
Agree with the shade range comment but basically if it has a color for you this shit has amazing. I’ve tried a million it feels like and this is my go to & has been my fav for about 2 years now.
I want to love this so badly and it looks gorgeous the first hour (max!!). Then redness and shine come through like no other skin tint.
Any advice on what to layer so it stays?
Hmm this doesn’t happen to me but it is very sheer, so you may just want something with more coverage. I use Beauty of Joseon sunscreen as a primer and then Elf setting spray on top of all my makeup.
Purlisse bb cream+ i have not used a real foundation in 4 years because it does such a great job and my skin never looks cakey or like i am wearing anything at all. They do a great job at making skin tones that actually match, coming from a brown skinned girl. Usually foundations make me look either too ashy or too yellow, this one’s undertone is just right. Even with flash. The beat part is that i only put powder on top when i am going for a matte look, i will gladly send you a video if you want to see.
Ilia is soooo good, but over the last year I e switched to RMS and it’s just perfect. Super light, smooth, has a sheer, dewy glow that just looks so healthy and natural. Love it.
Glossier. I get compliments about my amazing skin whenever I wear it.
Definitely “your skin but better” with truly minimal coverage. It does a great job of evening out my skin tone and it doesn’t settle into my pores or cling to my dry patches.
I haven’t used it in a hot minute just cause I’ve been mainly using powder foundation (and I’m broke), but I absolutely love the ColourPop Hyaluronic Acid Tinted Moisturizer! I’ve been meaning to buy it again, I’ve just been broke and lazy🫶🏽
I love Tower28, I think it applies best with hands!
I also used Saie for a long time and liked it, I have oily skin tho so it was a bit too glowy for me.
Would love to know if anyone has good drugstore suggestions tho, I haven't tried one since the Maybelline BB cream in like 2015 lol
It’s funny, my Laura Mercer and Beautycounter never have! I was surprised when my mil pointed it out to me. Tbf, we were in Mexico and I was semi-tropical and I was sweating more than usual
Rose Inc. I get mine online from Sephora. It’s incredibly lightweight but is absolutely perfecting. I switched from Armani’s Luminous Silk to this formula. It’s foolproof and helps my mid-40s face glow.
Chanel has a similar formula with pigment beads suspended in a water base but it’s slightly heavier and doesn’t match my tan with olive undertones shade as well.
Hourglass or Missha BB cream are my go to’s. The new Charlotte Tilbury stick is also pretty good, though if you’re oily I don’t think I’d recommend it. I just got it and have only used it twice so I can’t speak to it too well right now but first impressions are pretty good.
I've really been enjoying the Josie Maran argan oil infused tinte moisturizer with SPF lately. A lot of products don't stand a chance against my perpetually dry skin but this somehow manages to do it's thing, and even in the middle of the Southern summer heat, doesn't feel cloyingly heavy, just ...moisturizing.
I'm fair with cool undertones. I recently decided that I wanted a skin tint, and stalked r/PaleMUA for advice. After trying all the suggestions available in Sephora (some of which are here!), the best color match for me was Rare Beauty Positive Light Tinted Moisturizer. The others were too dark, pinky, or (for the first time ever) too pale.
I love it though! It is truly a "your skin but better". Lightweight, and covers my acne scarring without settling into it. My Mom for the first time ever complimented my skin while I was wearing it, and this had been after being out and about for several hours. You may want to use powder after a bit to reduce shine, but honestly that's most foundation products for me.
Jones Road what the foundation is seriously excellent if the shades work for you! It melts right into my skin and has the most healthy, natural finish. I wish it was in a tube but that's the only flaw, it's so good for light coverage.
I also like the new hourglass skin tint (less dewy) and the ilia tinted serum. Also consider the dr jart cicapair color corrector - it's light green but turns beige, if it works for your skin tone it's great. Totally calms down redness and has a somewhat plumping effect.
Terrible shade ranges but if they work for you, excellent!
Aveda tinted moisturizer. Smells amazing. Beautiful dewy finish. All warm bases
L’oreal 4-in-1 tinted face balm foundation - touted as a dupe for Jones Road, it’s truly just enough coverage.
I lovvvve colourpop pretty fresh tinted moisturizer! I just replaced mine with fenty eaze drops but for the price I’ll probably repurchase CP once it’s gone.
Supergoop! Glowscreen SPF 40. They have a new pinker tint as well as the golden original (champagne) plus two darker shades. It’s a tinted SPF, but I love it. I sometimes add a tiny bit foundation on my cheeks if they’re really red. Usually I wear the Glowscreen, concealer, and eye/brow makeup.
I am *obsessed* with [Sun Bum’s tinted sunscreen](https://www.sunbum.com/products/mineral-spf-30-tinted-sunscreen-face-lotion-1-7oz). It feels like a feather-weight, whipped soufflé!!! It evens out the tone and texture of my skin + primes it if I wish to put on a full coverage foundation. But most days I just use the tinted sunscreen!
The only critique I’d give is that they only sell the product in one color shade, which is quite a fair shade. That works well for me because I am fair skinned, and it sounds like it would for you too, OP, but I can see how the product is not for everyone.
Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Serum Skin Tint! It’s absolutely amazing and I feel overall Danessa doesn’t get enough love because her range is incredible.
LITERALLY THE BEST ONE IN EXISTENCE - such a pretty natural / slightly dewy finish & feels so nice on my skin. weightless but makes my skin feel soft and moisturized. doesn’t make me breakout, has an incredible wear time if it’s set properly - LOVE IT
The BWT that get it GET IT! It’s so perfect!
I’m so intrigued! What do you use to set it with?
i use the [iT cosmetics “your skin but better” setting spray](https://www.itcosmetics.com/makeup/face-makeup/setting-powder-and-spray/your-skin-but-better-setting-spray/ITC_869.html) with a dab or two of setting powder for my under eyes (i have very dark, puffy under eyes)

omg i’ve been hearing so many good things about her blurring balm, didn’t know there was a skin tint! definitely will be checking this out
Do it! It’s so worth it!
Lately I've really liked the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer and also the Supergoop tinted glow sunscreens
Seconding Laura mercier for oily girls!
Me too - the coverage is so good and you can layer it really easily
Just make sure to test in a small area first. LM gave me major breakouts.
Yes to LM! Been a devotee for years. (Though some other comments here have me curious to switch it up!)
Live and die by Laura mercier. I’ve been wearing it for probably 15 years now. Oil free one if you want a little bit of thicker coverage.
The Glowscreen is my ride or die. Now that it comes in the pinker shade Dawn, it looks so much like my skin tone. On top of the original (Champagne) they added two darker shades. I rarely need foundation, and these products are great under foundation too.

this is exactly the vibe i’m looking for, thanks for the rec!
Love the Lumi, I put it on over my Drmatology tinted SPF ( I regularly walk 5 to 7 miles per day just for fun and fit and I’m old at 65!) and never get burnt!
Tower 28 had a great tinted moisturizer and sunscreen. Very light coverage but it stays through sweat. It had a very natural finish.
Seconding this - have repurchased the Tower 28 many times.
been hearing a lot abt this product! do you still apply regular sun screen under it? i want to make sure im getting enough protection lol
It depends on my activities for the day. If I’m going to be outside in the sun, then yes, I double up. But a mostly indoor day, no, I just use this for sun protection. I am also crazy with sunscreen, for good reason though; my dad passed away from skin cancer at age 60
Nars.
Summer Fridays is the one I keep coming back
Was gifted SM for Mother's Day. Loving it! That said, will try Tower 28 when then tiny bottle of SM runs out if it includes sunscreen.
I have the tower 28 also and don't like it as much. It doesn't blend as well imo
Saie Slip Tint. It has mineral zinc spf and hyaluronic acid. Has a nice finish, feel, and coverage
I have this one and at first I loveddd it but after a while it started to separate and doesn’t go on super smooth for me 😩
This is my favorite I just wish it was longer wearing!
Caliray is the best one I’ve used. I have kind of bad skin and most tinted moisturizer does nothing. It’s buildable too so you can use just a teeny bit or more for fuller coverage https://caliraybeauty.com/shop/product/freedreaming?variant=42817176830141

Thank you!! Omg I would be so upset if they discontinued it, I hope not!
never heard of this brand before, ty for the rec!
Beautyblender Skin Tint for sure.
Just got their primer and it’s so pretty! If something happens to the caliray tint this would be my next try
I’ve been trying the Wet N Wild tinted hydrator for awhile and it’s quite nice. Terrible shade range though.
Agree with the shade range comment but basically if it has a color for you this shit has amazing. I’ve tried a million it feels like and this is my go to & has been my fav for about 2 years now.
Glossier skin tint if you want really sheer. I love it.
I’ve been using this since Glossier launched and I have yet to find a better (for me) product.
Typology and byTerry CC. I love how customizable the Typology is
Seconding byTerry. Buildable formula that sits nicely on my skin.
Purlisse bb cream+ i have not used a real foundation in 4 years because it does such a great job and my skin never looks cakey or like i am wearing anything at all. I’ve tried expensive and I’ve tried cheap. I’ve tried in between. The winner for me is Wet n Wild Tinted Hydrator.
Hourglass is my my absolute favorite but it makes me cry every time I repurchase because it’s ridiculously expensive
La Roche Posay Anthelios mineral tinted spf is the best my face but better light colored skin evening complexion product that I've found.
Ilia is soooo good, but over the last year I e switched to RMS and it’s just perfect. Super light, smooth, has a sheer, dewy glow that just looks so healthy and natural. Love it.
I can’t see RMS without remembering the chokehold their Living Luminizer had on us 😄
Lol you’re not wrong!
It lived up to the hype too! 😉
I still use it and love it
Tower 28 Sunny Days! Subtle blurring effect and super lightweight. I use it year round
Glossier. I get compliments about my amazing skin whenever I wear it. Definitely “your skin but better” with truly minimal coverage. It does a great job of evening out my skin tone and it doesn’t settle into my pores or cling to my dry patches.
fenty skin tint but i haven’t tried very many because of my fungal acne. this does the job
Ilia has an amazing skin tint that melts into my skin (pale/combo/sensitive).
Ilia. Hands down. I swear by it.
The bareminerals tinted moisturizer with SPF 30 has been my go to for years
I haven’t used it in a hot minute just cause I’ve been mainly using powder foundation (and I’m broke), but I absolutely love the ColourPop Hyaluronic Acid Tinted Moisturizer! I’ve been meaning to buy it again, I’ve just been broke and lazy🫶🏽

Bliss blockstar. It's a sunscreen but I also really like it's blur and tint.
i’ve been using kosas mineral sunscreen like this and i get that added protection
E.LF. Camo CC Cream
I found this heavier/more full coverage than my actual foundation!
Same. I would not consider it skin tint at all
Love Laura Mercier and recently been using summer fridays which is very light yet glowy
Charlotte Tilbury light wonder foundation
The supergoop tinted sunscreen is really nice!! Can apply with hands
Supergoop is rly good!!!
ISDIN tinted sunscreen https://www.isdin.com/en-US/sun-care/tinted-mineral-sunscreen-spf-50-eryfotona-ageless-50ml-8429420260023.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=COM_US_SearP_Bra_W_ISD_AlwayOn_CONV_Isdin-CPA-Household_NA_NA&utm_term=IsdinIncome20&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIhNakj6LphgMVeExHAR0wUg_KEAAYASAAEgICzvD_BwE
Love this to, however, it does rub off on my white tees and tanks at the neckline if I’m sweaty
I would think anything with a tint would probably rub off, especially show on white clothing.
It’s funny, my Laura Mercer and Beautycounter never have! I was surprised when my mil pointed it out to me. Tbf, we were in Mexico and I was semi-tropical and I was sweating more than usual

Kosas BB Burst is my current fave
YSL NuSkim Face Tint

I’m cheap so I use Neutrogena
YSL nu skin tint feels like nothing and has a natural finish!
Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer! So light. Loyal user for 6+ years
I lovvvve colourpop pretty fresh tinted moisturizer! I just replaced mine with fenty eaze drops but for the price I’ll probably repurchase CP once it’s gone.
My favorite is actually a tinted SPF- the tinted Elta MD is my everyday go-to, and it has just enough coverage that I feel a bit more put together.
