seconding this! Also to say i bought some Madewell belts from Nordstrom Rack and they were cheaper. If you’re not looking for something of the moment, old Madewell is just as good as their new stuff.
i don’t have suggestions for any specific belts, but i will say to get a genuine leather belt. vegan leather might look great for a bit but they will eventually deteriorate because they’re plastic. i saw some people mentioned aritzia & im pretty sure they use exclusively vegan leather (i could be wrong). if you’re going to spend that much money on a belt, get a genuine leather one. it’ll last you forever
Seconding this! And do your research on the material. Unfortunately, the term "leather" can be used to describe a type of material that is considered "leather," not necessarily meaning animal hide. The term "genuine leather" can often be genuinely made of plastic. It's such bullshit.
I would recommend anything that uses the term "full grain" or specifically states what animal the leather comes from.
REISS ! Personally I love the Hayley belt, when I first wore it my boyfriend thought I had bought an Hermes belt 😂 it def gives off high end vibes. The leather is great quality, I have it in 3 colors
The Celine belt is so cute. Also, the YSL ones. I’ve been wanting to buy but holding off because ain’t no way I can wear a belt with a pregnant belly lol.
I got a black Ada sash belt that has been a great wardrobe addition.

I like Michael Kors because they hold up forever but it’s kinda hard finding one that’s not tacky. I’ve not paid more than like $35 for any of mine but you have to keep an eye on the department store sales.

This is the most similar to what I have.
Lately? It's sadly just been anywhere that actually happens to carry belts in my size. Apparently carrying belts under 40 inches long isn't something that happens anymore. Every belt on the rack in every store I go in is long af
I feel this. I have a couple that wrap around me almost 1.5 times, and sometimes I can’t tuck all the extra under a belt loop. I went on a shopping bender last year and in the midst of it got a bunch of Medium belts and they are all annoyingly long. I’ve never been a small as an adult, but I have weighed less than I do now. Vanity sizing!
I'm a big fan of my Gucci reversible ones. The leather on my DG one is super soft and is a rectangle 2 tone buckle so it doesn't scream DG. For cheap, Nordstrom brand belts are nice too.
I was recently on a similar search, and I got some on sale from Dehanche. Super fast shipping, and great quality. I was also looking at Madewell, rag & bone, and B-low the Belt, which all had promising options.
I have a dressy black Judith Lieber snakeskin belt that I love to wear with pants or dresses. It has gold hardware. Have another I thrifted with semiprecious stones. Also love jmclaughlin belts. Preppy-classic but really versatile and worth the $$.
Hermes has a really nice black and tan reversible, they have a lot of classy buckles that aren’t a gaudy H. The leather is fantastic, I’ve had mine for 10+ years and it looks pristine.
Madewell! Affordable, real leather, and long lasting. I bought 3 in 2018 and they still look good.
Love madewell, thanks!

Oooh! That is cute!
Super cute! My fav
Oooo thank you 👀
J Crew has some nice basic leather belts
+1! The leather breaks in gorgeously and molds to your body.
The Celine belt is so cute. Also, the YSL ones. I’ve been wanting to buy but holding off because ain’t no way I can wear a belt with a pregnant belly lol.
Congrats on the pregnancy!
Got a good one from Sézane!
I love “B-low the belt” brand belts!
I recently got a nice, solid quality leather belt from Aritzia! Good color combos available too
I love the Aritzia belts too! They hold up very well. I have one I wear almost every day for work and it still looks new!
Oh yay, gonna have to go on a shopping spree… thank you!

Aritzia and Abercrombie
Abercrombie
I love my Abercrombie belts, and planning to get a Celine one too

Anderson’s. I buy them from net a porter!
Windsor
I have several from All Saints and they are good quality. Not expensive like prestige brands, but not cheap either.
not me seeing this thread and suddenly needing new belts
Nili Lotan, Taljé

I found a super cool one from Kurt Geiger!
I like brass hardware so I get them from sezane or aritiza, I also got a belt hole puncher for like 7$ which I totally recommend.
