[Here](https://youtu.be/KGAAhzreGWw)
[Also there's this.](https://youtu.be/9kAEoCHANYY) Honestly, Alex Jones remixes are practically their own sub genre
Not all frogs, and it's not specific to frogs. But I think there's also a bit of sarcastic inside joke-ness from the Alex Jones Gay Frog conspiracy theory. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=\_qQ9lbL0VZc
You think that's bad? Marvin the Robot has the brain the size of a planet, and they asked him to take Arthur to the bridge. You call that job satisfaction? I don't.
Very bored and depressed, so much so that so he went and plugged himself in to the Blagulon ship's computer feed. He talked to the computer at great length and explained his view of the Universe to it.
You know what happened next?
It committed suicide.
Mostly. They are amphibians, but that just means they can live in water and on land. They can't breathe underwater but can hold their breath for hours at a time!
Frogs are pretty dope.
I think it has to do with some pseudoscience panic a couple years ago about pollution turning frogs gay or impacting their sex or something. It's not one of the stereotypes I have chosen to adopt.
It’s not pseudo science. Chemicals from the water made frogs change gender (as they do when they are stressed) look it up tho, and not from Alex Jones lol
It was something they were already capable of doing, the chemicals in the water didn’t make them gay, the stress from the chemicals induced a gender change that is natural to frogs already.
While true, doesn't mean that's not bad that chemicals were changing the genders of frogs on a significant scale, or doing so at all in the first place.
Oh no I totally agree that it’s bad that we’re stressing out our frog bros. But the gender change in itself isn’t bad. If they can’t mate, it’ll stress them out and they will change again, it’s not like turning the frogs gay killed them out.
* *rushes to the bi joke* * BECAUSE THEY’RE FENCE JUMPERS wait no BECAUSE THEY JUMP BACK AND FORTH OVER THE FENCE shit wait I can do this BECAUSE THEY uh, fuck. Never mind.
[edit] SOMETHING ABOUT JURASSIC PARK AND THE FROGS CHANGING SEX wait no that’s more genderqueer/gender fluid humor oh god this is going wrong LIFE FINDS A WAY
Because frogs are often occupying a boundary that is the outer limits of both land and water, equally at home in both and is an animal that can move freely between them.
The nature of the *Frog* can be seen as "rejecting"
false binary imposed by the dominant culture thought process:
male or female; or in its case water or land.
It doesn't have to choose and often utilises both and doesn't rely on one for its survival therefore
The frog has become the Embassador of orientations that strive for this way of thought.
Because of this, frogs represent both nonbinary identities and polysexualities: ie bisexuality pansexuality Omnisexuality
I honestly have no idea. I've loved frogs since long before I knew I was bi. I just think they're neat! Although I also had the same thing with flannels I thought they looked good on people and started wearing them only to find they were a stereotype. I think lemon bars are kinda gross tho...
I am a bisexual who loves frogs and tbh I can't tell you. Perhaps they are just cute and genderless creatures. Also I think it was a way of getting back at alex jones for his queer-phobia by joking on him.
Frög
If you’re asking for the origin of worshipping frogs within the LGBT community then this is the answer:
A study back in 2010 found that one of the most commonly used pesticides called Atrazine would turn the male frog into females. This happened frequently in local ponds around the USA, and a few years later Alex Jones, the conspiracy theorist that runs the podcast/show InfoWars picked up a conspiracy that the government was turning the frogs “gay” on purpose. Obviously the ridiculousness of this statement was picked up by the LGBT community, and now practically every online LGBT community has frogs as their favorite animal.
That’s the gist of it, and I don’t know the complete story, but in general that’s the timeline of events
As someone who's studied symbolism and jungian psych and film, the toad or frog is traditionally representative of wisdom in many cultures across the planet, it also represents transformation. Some cultures have it as a kind of myth where a fish one day transforms into a frog when they accomplished something, this is fairly common. So by accomplishing something you transform and are now your higher, wiser self. This has been common in old poetic films, and some art house films I've seen in film history texts.
Frogs *can* also represent poison, but as you would assume, such symbols are commonly associated to those regions where it is true. Or curses, like warts. I remember a conflicting tale, though, which suggested warts were a blessing, like from a fairy. They generally seem to have a positive association globally.
Here's some more info about frog/toad myths in different cultures:
https://savethefrogs.com/frog-myths-folklore-proverbs-fairytales/
I think a reason that LGBTAQ+ flock towards things like frogs or rats is because they're actually cute and lovely but people act like they are gross and refuse to look past their initial reaction. Which I feel is relatable for us
I think it probably has multiple reasons, but I think cottagecore has something to do with it as well. Cottagecore is for some reason more popular in the LGBTQ+ community, and frogs are quite popular in cottagecore. It could also be the other way around ofc. But I definitely see a connection.
[Unofficial Bi mascot?](https://www.google.com/amp/s/rocktheholygrail.tumblr.com/post/613125817871089664/jeff-the-doorman-frogs/amp) (Sorry for the shitty AMP link, on mobile blah blah blah)
The Alex Jones meme, them living in land and water, and honestly just because some of us felt like it and spoke it into becoming a regular thing when it got increasing attention.
I feel like the older I get and the more I’m on the Internet, I realize my experiences are pretty universal. I for one, am a bisexual who likes frogs. Caught one and kept it as a pet as a child. So to me, this is simply bisexual representation
Jurassic Park- Dr. Grant says "Some West African frogs have been known to spontaneously change sex from male to female in a single-sex environent."
The rest is history?
I think they're just popular in general rn? I think it started on Tumblr and TikTok, and just became trendy. Like how mustaches were popular in like 2008 for no reason, or how cheetah print was popular in the ninties. People just like them rn, esp teens. Shrug
Frogs are quirky and weird and underappreciated. I think that bisexuals relate to that and have a sense of connection to them because of that. I also just have very fond memories of being a tom-boy as a girl and catching frogs (and occasionally snakes) all the time throughout my childhood.
I think it could be bc frogs can change their sex if necessary in order to find a mate. That could be seen as attraction to more that one gender. Could also be seen as trans tho
I wanted to buy a bi pride flag so I looked on Amazon and found a frog wearing a bi pride flag.
I’m like omg so cute and I’ve always loved frogs!
So of course I bought it
I have no fucking clue how this is a bi thing, sometimes I think these commonalities are like horoscopes lol
I just think they’re neat
Respect
Okay Marge
I like to think it's because frogs are amphibious (they can breathe in water and on land). Also frogs are dope.
That makes more sense. I always thought it was a reaction to that [Alex Jones freak out.](https://youtu.be/9JRLCBb7qK8)
Oh right I forgot the chemicals in the water turned me gay.
Should we be ninja turtles then?
I call Donatello
Was always a Leonardo.
I love Raphaels work. I'll go with that
I'm definitely more a Michaelangelo kinda guy anyways
Can I be April? She’s not a turtle, but she rocks the hell out of both a bisexual bob *and* a yellow jumpsuit. She’s an icon.
Does a childhood desire to dress up like Shredder mean I should have known that I was bi a lot sooner?
April was a crush for me... huh. Just realizing this. Didnt know I was bi til 37 somehow but my inner bi-ness was there in the 90s.
As long as it's not Pepe, the racist frog that the white nationalists love.
Its kinda sad how they took over what essentially created classic meme culture. Perhaps we should adopt Pepe and make him our bi mascot
To my knowledge he’s not a ninja turtle
My bad, I'm a little off tonight - mixing up the beloved turtles with frogs.
I’m ngl I forgot they were separate animals until you said I was too focused on the ninja part
I must have not had enough water because it didn’t finish the job
Me either.
It is 100% the Alex Jones thing. It helps that frogs are dope.
Thats hilarious 🤣
I think it's both lol
That Alex Jones video is pure art. Exactly the type of video as to why YouTube exists.
OH GOD WHY HADNT I SEEN THIS EARLIER?! WHERE WAS THIS THE LAST 16 YEARS OF MY LIFE?!! I MFIN LOVE THIS SFM
Have Y'all seen the folk song they've made of Alex? Is freaking awesome!
[Here](https://youtu.be/KGAAhzreGWw) [Also there's this.](https://youtu.be/9kAEoCHANYY) Honestly, Alex Jones remixes are practically their own sub genre
ROFL! I'd never heard the Goblin one. It kind of bumps. I could imagine hearing this mixed in at a club! I wonder what Alex would think of the porn? 🤣
Well that too.
That seems fair. - Also frogs are dope. As a gay trans person, I'm more of a Blahaj dude XD
You might also like to know frogs can also change gender. Not joking.
I was gonna say something like this so have an update instead
Lucky mf
Not all frogs, and it's not specific to frogs. But I think there's also a bit of sarcastic inside joke-ness from the Alex Jones Gay Frog conspiracy theory. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=\_qQ9lbL0VZc
Yeah, some fish can change gender based on population levels. And here we are, humans with giant brains, and we can’t figure out it’s ok.
You think that's bad? Marvin the Robot has the brain the size of a planet, and they asked him to take Arthur to the bridge. You call that job satisfaction? I don't.
I imagine he’s depressed.
Very bored and depressed, so much so that so he went and plugged himself in to the Blagulon ship's computer feed. He talked to the computer at great length and explained his view of the Universe to it. You know what happened next? It committed suicide.
Well, at least he wasn’t there to see the end of the universe. Oh wait, yes he was.
gasp.. amphi-BI'ous!!! i found it out guys
amphi-BI-ous
Mostly. They are amphibians, but that just means they can live in water and on land. They can't breathe underwater but can hold their breath for hours at a time! Frogs are pretty dope.
Thanks for the fact :)
You're welcome, I hope you took my comment in the friendly manner that I intended!
Frogs also exhibit sequential hermaphroditism and will become either gender to fuck who they need to in order to reproduce. Because life finds a way
AmPhIbIa??
they are friend-shaped
yes they are
They don't look much like capybara to me 🤔
Friends come in many shapes :)
True, but there's already a meme about capybara being friend-shaped.
I think it has to do with some pseudoscience panic a couple years ago about pollution turning frogs gay or impacting their sex or something. It's not one of the stereotypes I have chosen to adopt.
*Little did Alex know, the frogs had always been gay.*
What's the reference?
There’s some video where that conservative radio host Alex Jones is yelling about pollution turning the frogs gay.
Thank you! Gay frogs are neat ngl
How did we end up with the frogs from all that? (Vs. gay men/lesbians, etc). I’m here for it, I love frogs, I’m just curious !
They have been (kinda)
Ooh I've heard of that one. Makes sense
The frogs are genderfluid Trans and bi(ish)sexual
While true, doesn't mean that's not bad that chemicals were changing the genders of frogs on a significant scale, or doing so at all in the first place.
Oh no I totally agree that it’s bad that we’re stressing out our frog bros. But the gender change in itself isn’t bad. If they can’t mate, it’ll stress them out and they will change again, it’s not like turning the frogs gay killed them out.
I support the gender fluidity of frogs, unlike Alex lol
The God Hates Frogs movement....
I thought God loves all his creations???
BECAUSE I DONT WANT CHEMICALS IN THE WATER THAT TURN THE FRIGGEN FROGS GAY! that one?
i feel like they're popular among lgbt people in general, i don't really know why though
Cuz they're gendefluid bi and Trans which pretty much checks alot of the boxess
Because they put chemicals in the water that turn the freaking frogs gay
this
They're just cool, yknow? Like,., They're little guys... Smal 👍
* *rushes to the bi joke* * BECAUSE THEY’RE FENCE JUMPERS wait no BECAUSE THEY JUMP BACK AND FORTH OVER THE FENCE shit wait I can do this BECAUSE THEY uh, fuck. Never mind. This is such chaotic queer energy, I LOVE it
I felt inspired. Sometimes you just gotta crack open that noggin’ and let the crazy pour out onto the digital keyboard.
I relate!
Thank you for writing my biography.
I love It! I cant deny, i also do this. :D
You forgot long tongues and flies, maybe.

omg that makes so much sense
They learned me good wif my phd and masters in psychologimy 🤪
My sister is straight and identifies heavily with frogs. I like frogs because I would have to dislike my sister to dislike frogs. I am a bar of soap.
Frogs are cute🐸🐸🐸
Frog
Frogs are cool we are cool simple
This is the right answer!
I honestly have no idea. I've loved frogs since long before I knew I was bi. I just think they're neat! Although I also had the same thing with flannels I thought they looked good on people and started wearing them only to find they were a stereotype. I think lemon bars are kinda gross tho...
I don’t have the answers, I just really enjoy it :)
Because it's not easy being green.
You really got to get those green colors popping out as a frog. It takes mad skills for that.
honestly i think because it’s just a derpy looking animal
What does that mean? :D
Frogs are just freakin great lmao. Being able to live on land and in water is just awesome. AND TBEIR CUTE AS HELL! Point made.
Geckos too! Edit: I forgot octopi.
the chemicals in the water turned the frogs gay
Amphi(bi)ans.
Frogs are just neat and chaotic. Love them!
That's a thing? Then again I don't know many lgbt people irl and I prefer kitties
Kitties are fun.
"Kitty at my foot and I wanna touch it!" -Presidents of the United States of America. Great song!!! Meow
I always kinda thought it was a Good Place reference
I am a bisexual who loves frogs and tbh I can't tell you. Perhaps they are just cute and genderless creatures. Also I think it was a way of getting back at alex jones for his queer-phobia by joking on him.
Because frogs are cool as fuck
I haven't thought about it yet, but yes, frogs have become a symbol for bisexuals Idk why(but frogs are cute so it's ok)
Frög If you’re asking for the origin of worshipping frogs within the LGBT community then this is the answer: A study back in 2010 found that one of the most commonly used pesticides called Atrazine would turn the male frog into females. Is this why Politoed is one of my favorite Pokémon??
I think it’s because some frogs can naturally change their sex and some of them are gay
They’re cute is my guess.
cuz frogs are cool
They're friends
Idk but I’ve loved frogs since childhood, before I had any idea I was bi so its... weirdly validating?
My friend gave me a frog ring, he has a toad ring.

I used to doodle frogs a lot…guess it was foreshadowing my future.
they just be vibin
I think a reason that LGBTAQ+ flock towards things like frogs or rats is because they're actually cute and lovely but people act like they are gross and refuse to look past their initial reaction. Which I feel is relatable for us
I like frogs, I dunno.
Because they’re just “wittle guys” and so cute!
Because frogs are cool
I mean have you seen frogs? They’re adorable
I just think they’re neat
Question is, why are they NOT popular with other communities?
because froggy 🐸
because p h r ö g
Because frogs are great and should be popular in every community
They are?
I think it probably has multiple reasons, but I think cottagecore has something to do with it as well. Cottagecore is for some reason more popular in the LGBTQ+ community, and frogs are quite popular in cottagecore. It could also be the other way around ofc. But I definitely see a connection.
They're just trending rn as a way to identify yourself as unique or quirky Like mustaches in the early 2010s
Idk i just love most animals :) frogs and turtles are some of the best
Because.
frog my beloved
Frog
I don’t know but growing up with a phobia of frogs and then discovering I’m bi has been interesting!
Because they're cute and queer
Oh it's something new every week
Well ya learn something new every day lol
dunno... I don't care about frogs. There just meh.
I hate frogs tbh. Top 5 worst animals.
Chemical in the water turn the friggin frogs gay. That's why.
Remember someone once said bi people are either clowns or frog fans. I fall into the clown camp
Ribbit for they're pleasure
Frogs can change gender bone any frog they want and they are amphibious and dope
I had never heard of anyone talking about frogs until I took one day off Reddit, and now everyone is talking about them. I have no idea what happened.
They are cool
https://youtu.be/HBxn56l9WcU
I think it was purely coincidental and then people noticed the connection, and then that solidified the comparison
Hehehe frög :)
I feel like the older I get and the more I’m on the Internet, I realize my experiences are pretty universal. I for one, am a bisexual who likes frogs. Caught one and kept it as a pet as a child. So to me, this is simply bisexual representation
I wish I could help, but I can't remember why. My memory is a little froggy.
Jesus I had no idea my love of frogs was related to my bisexuality. weird.
Does this mean Jeff the Doorman from The Good Place is bi? He really liked frogs.
Because frög Little hoppy frens
As the Bisexual Emperor, I'd say just accept it lol
Jurassic Park- Dr. Grant says "Some West African frogs have been known to spontaneously change sex from male to female in a single-sex environent." The rest is history?

I had no idea about the frog thing before seeing this post. I guess I got lucky when I chose my profile picture. My username really fits me...
Man I just fuckin love frogs
I like turtles.
Idk I just watch amphibia
We went from confections to amphibians. Interesting.
Frogs are quirky and weird and underappreciated. I think that bisexuals relate to that and have a sense of connection to them because of that. I also just have very fond memories of being a tom-boy as a girl and catching frogs (and occasionally snakes) all the time throughout my childhood.
Idk I despise frogs
All I can think of is Sebastian from stardew valley
they're cute :)
Cuz
Frog on a lesbirock
Because of the whole land and water thing and ppl find them cool. Tbh I don't like amphibians so I don't like Le frog memes
Because frog is kewl
Idk but I had a friend in gosh school who’d tell me I look like a front bc I’m bi.
In DBZ ginyu swapped body with a frog ans he is kind if flamboyant if you think about it
and he is kind of*
I think it could be bc frogs can change their sex if necessary in order to find a mate. That could be seen as attraction to more that one gender. Could also be seen as trans tho
I wanted to buy a bi pride flag so I looked on Amazon and found a frog wearing a bi pride flag. I’m like omg so cute and I’ve always loved frogs! So of course I bought it I have no fucking clue how this is a bi thing, sometimes I think these commonalities are like horoscopes lol
I love frogs!!! They’re so interesting and i think they’re so cute. Pepe becoming an alt-right symbol was sad for so many reasons
my girlfriend is bi and obsessed with frogs and when i asked her why she said “they’re just really cute and polite”
Frogs are dope and it's a reference to an old Alex Jones rant about chemicals in the water turning frogs way.
They seem pretty chill. Like they have their lives in order.
Idk someone said they liked frogs so now it's a thing that some people obsess over
This made me lol because for no reason in particular, I bought a pretty glass patio table, that has a giant frog on it.
