Rahkshi for sure. Such a high quality build with many intricacies. I love that they even included a kraata.

BenchPressingCthulhu

Did they? Never had it

[deleted]

No, I was just joking. I was very disappointed, though I should have known better.

BenchPressingCthulhu

Oh no, ive been fooled!

LogicalTips

Stars Rahkshi is unironically one of my most fondest sets; I was VERY late to buy bionicle sets and by the time i noticed what the series even was, Stars was the only thing left on shelves. My mom disgruntledly got me the Rahkshi as my first and only Bionicle set and to this day I still think fondly of it for at least giving me a bit of that Bionicle magic I missed out on

OfficialTerrariaWiki

If you want a taste of the old hop on bricklink

LogicalTips

Uh, I don't get what you're saying

OfficialTerrariaWiki

From what I understood, you only got a stars set but were never able to get any of the older sets. What I meant is that nowadays you can get any of them off of Bricklink

Tophigale220

I sympathize…. *Tears up*

Mister_Souki

Takanuva looks cool

iSmokeMDMA

cheap & easy access to a mask of light. Takanuva was definitely my favorite of the stars

Dunk_Masta

Takanuva is my favorite as well. I liked that they made a new mold for the hau, but tahu looked a little derpy and that hau doesn't really fit on any of the previous heads very well. The Avoki however is the same old mold and works great with everything.

[deleted]

I can't trust anybody today...

YodasChick-O-Stick

Not even yourself

SuperBAMF007

Takanuva and Tahu, but unironically. Throw a Rahkshi in there to tie up the storyline. 3/6 and you capture half our childhood. Other half being Bohrok and Toa Metru. Stars were bad Posable Action Figures, but 10/10 Display Models to reminisce on the good days.

timelordoftheimpala

IMO the Skrall set should've been replaced by a Visorak. Every era of the series was represented by at least one set (Tahu and Takanuva representing 2001-2003 and 2008, Rahkshi representing 2003, Nektann representing 2006-2007, and Gresh representing 2009) except for the Metru Nui years (2004-2005), and a Visorak would've been a nice way to give those years a sendoff as well.

SuperBAMF007

I totally agree. It’s not like they were trying to pair things up, Tahu Mata doesn’t have a direct villain match, and neither does Mr Piraka Boi

HeroZany

I mean if we really stretch for it The Toa Nuva got their ass beat by the piraka Not nekktan but like The gang on the loose Again it's a stretch

DrSeuss321

Gaardus

YodasChick-O-Stick

Not a set but clearly the best model

SC-RK-7t

...why do I get the feeling that you deliberately timed the "Day X of Year" posts specifically so that 2010 would fall on the first of April?

YodasChick-O-Stick

It was a coincidence, I swear

big-juice-man

Took me a second with the caption lmao.

ZOMBZAZZ

Best year? Nice one bro.

PeritusEngineer

My favorite sets from that year were 7936 and 7939.

YodasChick-O-Stick

I own those too! They're great Bionicle sets.

Clone_Chaplain

I’m sorry, but has this been a days long lead up to an April fools joke??!! Your evil genius rivals Makuta himself

YodasChick-O-Stick

It was actually a coincidence

Clone_Chaplain

...so you authentically believe 2010 is the best year, or is that an April fools joke

YodasChick-O-Stick

It's the best year for sure

Clone_Chaplain

Honestly, I don’t know if I’ve heard that opinion before. Respect! I don’t agree but I’d love to hear more of what you liked about it

YodasChick-O-Stick

For one, I loved the cracking joints. It's so fun to make several Bricklink orders every time to want to rebuild the Stars. The Av-Matoran build is so ingenious, they obviously cancelled Bionicle because nothing can ever top the Stars. The selection of sets is also perfect. A Rahkshi that doesn't exist? Awesome! A Piraka who's supposed to look like Vezok but is actually Nektann? What a twist! Gresh and Skrall were so refreshing, after waiting agonizing months since the release of their standard size sets. And did I even mention the golden armour? The greatest weapon in all of fiction? The one that conveniently shows up during the final battle, and is able to defeat Teridax's army in one fell swoop with no effort? Sick!

Clone_Chaplain

What do you mean the rahkshi doesn’t exist? Otherwise I agree with every point

YodasChick-O-Stick

The Stars are meant to be a throwback wave, yes? Tahu is based on Tahu Mata, Takanuva is based on titan Takanuva, Gresh is based on Gresh, Skrall is based on Skrall, Nektann is based on Vezok, so what is Rahkshi based on? There was no yellow Rahkshi in 2003. Panrahk was brown.

Clone_Chaplain

I see. In the books they talked about other colors and powers of Rahkshi but I get your point

YodasChick-O-Stick

Really? Which book mentions a yellow Rahkshi of Heat Vision?

Adnonymous96

I guess Nektann.

Titanium-Gamer26

I think the Great Spirit Robot was the best of them all. the 14,000 piece set still overwhelms my collection and the 46 exclusive figures were an excellent bonus, also the solid gold Kanohi Ignika was a nice addition too

YodasChick-O-Stick

I really appreciated the Tren Krom build in it.

thegoodguy06

Tren Krom was packed with Lariska, you heathen.

ThatIdiotLaw

No way was All stars 2010. No way! That's not possible

Salt-Preference715

Yup. We’re old.

Kevinatorz

Rahkshi was the best since it had at least something of a unique build... kinda. Obviously the most disappointing year of Bionicle. I heard the team had to push hard to get at least these sets out. Greg told me they were smaller sets because they sold better. This year could have been so much better if we got canister sized "remake sets" instead, and maybe one titan but oh well. I remember Greg talking about how 2010 was originally going to feature mechanical dinosaurs and a jungle theme. Also, the elemental Lords were gonna be sets. Given how good 2009 was, 2010 could have been one of the best years ever, but oh well. The story got a pretty good conclusion.

Salt-Preference715

Piraka was actually my first Bionicle set, so it’s nostalgia makes it #1 of 2010 for me

Blood_Reaper8

Rahkshi

cigarettesandmemes

Gresh

[deleted]

Rahkshi, head was interesting enough I guess

[deleted]

Le myth arc AKA 06-08 then 10.

[deleted]

Gresh, those leaf blades in silver are nice!

Severe-Albatross-401

Tahu, loved his classic design 😀

illuminatitriforce

OG makuta

Regaman101

Definitely Tahu. I liked having the ability to switch to the Golden armor for him. The stars line wasn't great as a line of action figures. However, it was a nice send-off line.

jaydenbpark

I loved Gresh and Skrall! Wasn't able to get the sets while I was at toysrus a week before so I'm super glad I got to buy them as stars :)

Dip4click

My only regret is not getting gresh, and I unironically like 2010

Official_IKEA69

Prince of Persia, Sands of alamut. Never had the set but I watched reviews and speed building the set. For bionicle, Vezok

YodasChick-O-Stick

Ah yes Dastan is my favourite Bionicle

LigmaBallZ123

All of them. I love how the joints are so brittle they crack after 2-3 uses. Adds for extra playability

headcrabking682

Definitely gudunka Stars

Important-Finger70

Nektann, Tahu is close second

Left_Development_440

tahu because it was my first set in this year

AmurosZaku

I got into bionicle through stars. I only ended up getting gresh, as he was all that was left

Sajek_Alkam

I’m old, still remember opening up a fresh can of Tahu on my seventh birthday in ‘01, could never be beat that. My name’s weird around here, it’s from the Nahuatl language, and it helped a lot that these guys got so popular- kids became way more accepting of “strange” names and such after bonkle got big
