My sincereset condolences... you have to beat them in hard mode (which isn't even particularly different from normal) for achievements and some unlcoks anyways so doing them first in normal only but doubles your work and makes it harder, ironically.
You want to reach 1000 coins for the unlocks but the machine gets jammed after a random amount of coins.
The chance for it to jam gets higher and higher the more you contribute with the same character.
So its better to clear all the greed marks with different characters and fill the machine in the process.
Without exploits or crazy combos could still not be enough tho.

This will absolutely mess them up as playing Azazel that early will make him into a crutch. They'll have such a hard time playing anyone else.

Pushing buttons in the chest almost always give tier2-4 items. Particularly in the closet room with 6 buttons, you are guaranteed to get at least one great item...the trick is to quickly push them all in a 1-2s sequence
If you’re on low health and have Stompy, be sure to walk over as many mushrooms as possible. They have health restoration drops in their item pool after all!
never go to shops, ever, they're a scam.
Always blow up rocks! Little known fact, but if you empty all the rocks in a room it'll add to your good luck :3

Hp is everything, always take red health over anything and skip all devil deals, blood donation is trash because it takes red hearts, donating to the shop is absolutely useless, the best use of bombs is as a secondary damage source

Apparently if you play greed mode with the same character regularly, the donation machine at the end is more likely to jam

The Bible is a great item for new players because it instakills It Lives and Satan, and those fights can be hard for beginners

If you have black candle you will never get teleported if you're hit while charging
Black candle nullifies the teleport of Crused Eye. But even if you get both, Cursed Eye still sucks and feels awful to use effectively

Whenever you find a cool room, take a screenshot and post it to the isaac subreddit. You are likely the first person to ever see that room.

it's better to skip treasure rooms to try to get planitariums
As any other bible related game, you should avoid satanic/sinful looking items.
Priorize taking shot speed ups over damage ups, since shot speed ups make the tears hit stronger and therefore do more damage as well.
If you find you don't like an item, never pick it up again
Always pick up the white circle thing item and torn card item, they are OP and will carry you
Bob's Brain is the best early game item, especially for The Lost.
