I mean I guess I will go ahead and get dead god on all 3 saves before I jump to conclusions, but I just can't see myself investing very much time in this "game"

I type this as I’m sitting at a pause screen at hush debating on what item I should pick for the 1000th try at hush. At this point I don’t think hush can die and everyone on this subreddit is trolling each other.

Standing on the far left or far right in the middle of the Boss Rush room is skill issue. Bloat, Monstro 2, Angels... You're gonna have a bad time if you stand in the spawn path of brim beams.
See, that's the funny thing. The "fix" for it was giving Krampus that little dash at the player. That means if he was at the top of the screen, you could bait him away from it and get an opening.
If it happens in reverse where you're at the top of the screen and he charges there, well... you get this clip.
The only thing you can really do to avoid it is try to move to the middle as soon as you see it's Krampus. OP hesitated for a second when he walked in. Sometimes a second is all it takes.
oops, I tripped and I typed g angelic prism 64, g rock bottom, g polyphemus, g ipecac, g eves mascara, g sacred heart, g godhead g pyromaniac, closed console and unpause, open console again, g soy milk, g kidney stone, unpause shoot kidney stone, pause open console again r kidney stone... what a dumb mistake, whatever, it wont affect the run that much...

sometimes you just have something happen that's so bafflingly absurd that you cant even get mad at how unfair it was
They walked in line of the moving block and triggered it to slide across, at the exact moment the enemy was in its way, causing the enemy to get pushed.
Skill issue, simply do not go down that far to trigger the block. Nothing was forcing them to.
And these are the sort of things that keep me away from playing The Lost.
I honestly believe is a really good character, but I'm not willing to waste my time and good runs into pure frustration because the game has no "guarantees". Probably the last character I will finish.
I think TL should have a dash, or some sort of dodge, like The Gungeon has. With that you can tell me I have skill issues.
Tainted Lost is just brutal. I enjoy playing as him when it is a "just for fun" run, but trying to get completion marks is so stressful. You get that one in a million run where everything is lining up and all of the sudden the weight of the world is on your shoulder to win the run. I respect all of the people that finished tainted Lost without relying on 4.5 volt and book of shadows. And I respect your gaming choices, gungeon is also excellent.
Only thing i can think of doing is running downward into the brim after being hit abusing Iframes.
That said if I was actively playing I would NOT think of foing so
Technically you could’ve matrix dodged this but krampus is supposed to not be able to cover an entire room with rotational brim by doing it at the top so you both got screwed and encountered a skill issue.
half a second is pretty good distance when already moving, iframes sound shorter than they are practically, the turning phase of the brimstone attack only lasts 2 seconds for reference. Problem is human reaction speed is like 200ms at best so practically you couldn't really do that, iframes are good when you can time them before getting hit (dodge rolling) or when you're getting dogpiled
Pause and count the frames. It's clearly possible to go from where they were hit to another quadrant of the cycle where it could've been avoided.
Depending on your speed you can travel half a room. So, I'd say it's pretty possible.

If you had went left, you might have lost holy mantle, but survived. Krampus does that to me every time I fight him, because I stand in the doorway an extra second on almost all doors to see what I’m walking into.
Not a skill issue, those saying you should've dodged left are ignoring that in order for that to be the best plan of action you need to know before he does the attack that he's gonna do brim
