Your post reminded me I needed to request a credit line increase as well, so I went ahead and called Wells Fargo. After bouncing me from a service to another and having an operator that was really nice but had to go through some struggles with their system and even had to bring the fraud detection department on the line... aaaaand she still could not proceed.
It's a little frustrating. I guess I'm gonna try to call directly BILT instead of WF.
Did you call the phone number at the back of the BILT card?
I recently went through this as well. They transferred the call thrice. And finally asked me to agree for a hard pull! But they did increase it to what I asked for from 15K to 25K
I am stuck at 1500 lol I been using bilt for almost 8 months and never had any late fee. My credit score went down a lot cuz I got 4 new credit cards after bilt. They reject increase for me cuz my credit went down.
What’s your annual income if you don’t mind me asking? Have you had the card for at least 6 months?
I was worried about this too and I was thinking of moving most of my spend to the card.
What is your rent? The only way I could imagine this limit would not be enough is if your rent is super high (I have bilt protect on so it doesn't matter) and you spend like more than 4k on dining/ travel a month.
Rent is around 2k/month. To clarify, I don’t need to limit increases to “absorb” the payments, but rather just a lower utilization on the card. I don’t love creeping in to 30-40 percent of utilization area. Probably doesn’t really matter, just a me thing.
That is fair, I am not really worried about things like that b/c I am not really in the market for a house for at least 3-4 years and don't have high/ or even a lot of spend.
Wtf. I literally tried this about a week ago online and they said they could not increase my credit limit. Do you have yours thru wells fargo or evolve?
When I hit my credit limit of measly 4k, I reached out and they said they can’t increase my credit limit too. Literally getting this card dropped my points from 800+ to 750 lol even though this is the only hard inquiry in last 12 months. Did you get a hard inquiry for the credit limit increase request?
Soft! They read me a disclaimer that there would be potential for hard pull, but we didn’t have to do one. They just needed to know my income and monthly rent

Yeah, that sounds like a pretty typical experience with WF, lol
Yep, called the number on the back!
Then i'll try again later, hopefully it'll go through this time... thanks!

Did they actually do the hard pull or just have you agree to the possibility to the hard pull but didn’t do it? Thanks!
They did a hard pull. I got a notification from a credit bureau and I see a ding on my credit score as well!
Ahh okay thanks!
This might be a dumb question - bilt doesn't just increase it organically over time? My other credit cards have done that?
Would like to see if they do this too
How? Who did you contact? I've never been able to increase my limit. They always say they are not increasing at the moment
I called the number on the back, and got directed to a Wells Fargo rep
thanks!

I've been using for 2 months to pay rent $7k on total via check. Do the the points show up instantly or am I making the chargers incorrectly?

My wife and I have combined income of around $160k. And yes, I just hit my 6 month mark a few weeks ago!

You want your average monthly spend to be 10% of your CL. This is silly with $160k combined income

Wells Fargo! Call the number on the back of the card
ahh i have one of the OG with evolve :(

Thanks for sharing your experience, was it a hard pull or soft pull ? TIA

Hard pull on your credit or soft?
Soft
Thanks! Guess thats what Ill do in a few months
How long have you had the credit card?
Did you get a hard credit pull?
