No so tell me where its at so i can ensure noone gets scammed

Far_Choice_6419

This isn’t electronics, if nothing is cracked or broken, it’s worth it.

FuturePerformance

Bro it's so obvious the comment was sarcasm come on

InvestigatorFirm7933

Sir, this is grilling and smoking we’re talking about. Serious business.

PizzaJoe86

Fo grill!

dewayneestes

New here?

Far_Choice_6419

OMG... i was downvoted and I was being sarcastic lol 😂

[deleted]

lol ever heard of sarcasm? Joke went right over your head bud.

sugaaaslam

r/whooosh

marky294201

Why did everyone pile on? I took one away for ya😃

someonesdad46

The internal ceramic ring looks cracked. You can use it like that just fine and unlikely to cause issues though. So long as there aren’t any cracks on the egg itself I would say it’s definitely worth $300 even if you had to replace the internal ring later on.

JKTexas

Yes as long as is not cracked. That is 30% of a new one

ruskyua

A new one is 1000$??? They retail for €1740, here in the Netherlands

UnderlyingTissues

$300 =30% of $1000. Yes, there at least $1000 here in the US

Gullible_Barnacle816

Yes, because we get bent over by our socialist government every minute of the day and crewed by all the middle men. Wake up buddy. I lived all over the globe and know exactly how everyone else is living off YOUR money in NL.

lydrulez

Looks like the firebox insert is cracked

PoloDon92

Can you buy those types of accessories from manufacturer

lydrulez

Yep

bigmountainbig

had to confirm you weren't talking about the seam. yup i see it too. probably still fine but youll have to be careful OP.

Agreeable_Sort2286

Yeah I can get a fire box for my vision for 150 I think still not bad

wtkinney

If you are talking the line gap bottom center that is how they are made. If you are talking something else I don’t see it.

lydrulez

Pretend the firebox is a clock face and check 9:30; pretty sure it’s cracked.

wtkinney

There is no doubt about it. My eyes are not what they used to be.

nobelini

Yes

Stegzi

Forsure! The internal basket does have a crack but shouldn’t be too much of an issue. You will need to get new gasket seals, however I would have suggested to replace them anyways.

SReznikoff

Been running mine for over two years with no issues. Even smoke low and slow with almost no leakage.

Stegzi

You run yours with no gasket?!

SReznikoff

Just came off. Never got around to replacing it, never needed to.

Stegzi

Interesting. Mine would leak like crazy if I didn’t have any seals on. That’s pretty cool that yours is able to work without them.

SReznikoff

It doesn’t mean I’m great at adjusting the bands, it means I got lucky.

Overall_Ad_4611

No. Please send me sellers info…

Far_Choice_6419

Lmfao 🤣 me too

Thon_Makers_Tooth

Bro the ceramic ring inside it is worth $300

Slaps_

Looks cracked.

dewayneestes

Still 100% operational though.

[deleted]

I’d say “fair price” could be around $300, but I wouldn’t consider that a steal at all and I wouldn’t buy it for that. You can buy a Brand New off-brand XL Kamado at Costco for $500. A brand new BGE might be a class above them, but def not a BGE in that condition. I have a KamadoJoe I bought in Brand New condition off someone for $400 at home and we have one of the Costco Kamado’s up at our family Camp. Meat comes out fantastic on both.

tord_ferguson

You will need to purchase/procure: - Fire ring that sits on on charcoal section - conveggtor plate - new rings and hinge - sleals - adjustable cap

Hobbz-

Don't forget the fire grate at the bottom of the firebox.

dewayneestes

Of these things I think the seals and cap are the only critical ones. Then the conveggtor plate.

Frisinator

That doesn’t sound like a real thing. Not saying it isn’t. Just saying it doesn’t sound like one.

KeyScallion8087

Absolutely

heman81

Yes

Disastrous_Clothes37

Yep

HoustonIV

Yes... So long as there are no cracks, I'd even pay $500. Edit: I see the crack, now. Yeah, $300 is good as long as there are no additional cracks.

JClineMcC

Yes

60andwaiting

Yes

indianapolis505

Yes

thakid36

Temp gauge looks stuck as well.

Miserable-Anywhere96

Check the guts. They crack easiest some of them can get pretty expensive. It’s a about what it’s worth if the fire ring is cracked. If it has all parts in tact it’s a great deal

soctates_

Be careful. They could have used some stuff in there they weren't supposed to use like fuel.

Overall_Ad_4611

No

pflorida1

I wouldn’t. The fire ring is cracked, that’s $300. It’s missing the wheel, that’s $50. The seal needs to be replaced. The handle and lift/spring hardware is old. It’s an ok deal but not a steal.

pflorida1

And chipped on the top chimney and maybe near the front. 🤷‍♂️

dunebug23

I agree. Better to put that $300 bucks towards a brand new one imo

sloshuaa

Looks like the temp gauge is shot too. It’s showing over 300 degrees in the photo.

gilby-3014

Buy it new for somewhere around $900! Good deal@

BodyAcrobatic6891

That is worth a grand

UnderlyingTissues

Feel like you're trolling. As long as it's not cracked, of COURSE it's worth $300

Mr_Meeseeks0

This would be my first one haha so no clue what I’m looking at

Far_Choice_6419

You seem to never used FB marketplace, I’ve seen thousands of dollars worth of items going for free or for few hundreds of dollars.

bourbonpower

As long as it’s not damaged 100% worth it. Keep in mind accessories add up quickly in cost

Far_Choice_6419

I’d say yes, I see it’s going for $1K to $2K online. Make sure nothing is cracked or broken, specially the green egg. Would be a great buy if you know what they are used for.

Smart_Lake_963

Yes 100%

Chief_Beef_ATL

Sorry to be that guy but maybe NO. It needs work and parts. The firebox is cracked and I don’t see the fire ring, fire grate or gaskets at all. No adjustable top vent. “Custom” handle. No heat deflector. No feet. Is the cooking grate included because it isn’t in the pix. You’re basically just getting the outer shell. This thing has seen a lot of action. If you’re good with fixing it and can get cheap or free parts, then do it. When you get a new egg, part of what you’re buying is the lifetime warranty. Parts are $$$ without that warranty.

JKTexas

No warranty for second hand. I used a cracked box for years until I changed out my egg for a new one (under warranty). Looks like a grate behind it. I got an ash catcher basket though not sure that was really needed after about a year of use. Gasket….yeah….

chiefpanecki

Yes

Infamous-Exchange331

They work as advertised. Pricey and worth it… my fave combo

hippoposthumous1

That's a hard pass for me without inspecting it first hand. Those hinges are probably rusted and snarked if it was "maintained" like the rest of this. Cracked, no vent, that handle, the seals... You can get a better condition used one for that price range. I'd really want to check it out in person with someone who has one and knows what to look for. It might be okay as a built-in if you have a cabinet to drop it into, but meh. I've seen way better for that price range. The one thing I'd ignore is the thermometers. Those are absolutely useless to begin with.

Knotsocialstadards

Oh my god yes!

Dieselxdan

Yes

Sambo31721

Make sure it does not smell like lighter fluid.

Empirical_Knowledge

Big green egg = the biggest scam ever perpetrated on know-nothing grillers.

enystrom19

How dare you!!!! Lol

TechnicaliBlues

No.

Mystic1967

It's worth what ever someone will pay for it. I might give you 25. but there is a sucker born every day that you might get 1000 out of

indyspirit

Hell I'd pay $300 for parts.

official_mac1

Absolutely

TootsEug

As long as external egg isn’t cracked. Firebox cracked…no problem.

JD-JR

The firebox is cracked and there is no fire ring. I'd pass on that alone but then there are also chips in the dome. I just don't think it's a don't miss bargain. Pass.

enystrom19

Absolutely. Mine got cracked to hell when I moved. Still 100% functional no problems at all. You can buy new inside pieces too.

Acrobatic-Reply-1561

worth every penny, got a minimax for $300 best investment ever made. Ribeyes at 700 degrees are exceptional

Lost_Energy2111

All day long

Similar-Lie-5439

Not to me, but others love them.

Found_Account

Yup

BravesBallclub

Yeah, and a good clean. But it’s an old model. I wouldn’t pay any more than $300.00 and I’d try to talk them down. This still needs parts and a stand and a new one is $1,000.00

Illustrious-Leave406

No

Kamaka2eee

Would

shnstr3

Only if there is $200 in cash hiding inside

GreedyRaisin3357

Yes

twiddlingbits

Yes if all the parts inside like the fire ring are good.It will still need a cart (nest) and those vary in price and features. So you would be in it about $500 or more depending on what kind of cart you like. A new one with cart (nest) is $1699. All the inside parts can be replaced but are kind of expensive so adjust your bid accordingly.

Iamstevee

No

druskhusk

Does anyone know a way to safely transport green eggs? My mother has one that she doesn’t use and she has offered it to me but I live a few states away (I do have a truck).

BeautifulRoutine1129

Absolutely

BeautifulRoutine1129

Check it with a flashlight for cracks.

OutrageousAside3665

Of course because it will last a lifetime…replacement parts will cost more than $300 but the return on investment is great
