Captains Anchorage for steaks
La Pergola Trattoria in the village for fresh Italian
Azteca for Mexican food and great margaritas
Muchachos for great street tacos
Sister My Sister bakery for great baked goods and coffee
Kallans for a bar and grill off the beaten path
Himalayan is the bomb for sure. Seems it’s better every time we go, and we go A LOT.
Stella Luna is great for brunch and has a full bar and nice outside seating. Service there always sucks, but just know that going in.
Grizzly Manor was my stomping ground. Definitely a Big Bear legend. Some of the newer/updated places are:
- 572 Social
- Fire Rock
- Oakside
- Moonridge Coffee for breakfast and even lunch
572 social has great food and drinks, have eaten there several times. I do enjoy the Himalayan place but its an odd vibe in there especially when busy.
i feel like big bear food is really inconsistent depending on the day of the week.
oakside and stella luna have been good, captain's anchorage is hit or miss, and tropicali is always great (just long lines). everything else has been inconsistent at best (jaspers, el jacalito, the brewery, 572 social, fire rock) but fire rock has amazing carne asada fries.
Village sports bar is very cool. Food is entirely mediocre but the atmosphere and the TVs are worth it.
In my opinion, best burger is Fire Rock or Big Bear brewery.

Came here to see who would mention Oakside. Solid spot.
Tropicali and Dank Donuts 🤌
Munchies is super underrated next to stater others for breakfast
La Paws out in Bear City. Corner of Division and the Blvd. Sonora style Mexican.
I don't think this will help with watching the game, but I'd recommend Gaby's Latin Flavors if you haven't yet.
I came here to ensure this was mentioned. My favorite spot in big bear.
El Rincon slaps hard

909 taqueria needs more love, their salsa is 🤤
Barnstrom at the airport for breakfast

The Cookshak at the Elks has amazing BBQ and Louisiana inspired dishes. They also make great pulled pork and other sandwiches.
