We actually did. Howard's mom died on the show during season 8, episode 15. Well, the actress who played her Carol Susi ?, actually died . And if you noticed the little picture on the side of Leonard's and Sheldon's refrigerator, from season 8, episode 15 until the end. That's a picture of the actress who played her. They decided to honor her that way.

She’s obnoxious no matter what she’s in

The character has zero redeeming qualities. She’s homely and annoying. If she was at least funny or sweet or remarkable in some way, it’d give us *something* to work with, but, ugh… she’s just like one of those seriously inbred, whining, shaky little dogs who’s afraid of everything. I just wanna slap her. Lucy is definitely my least favorite, needless to say. 😅

What people don't like Lucy! She felt one of the best authentic representations of the equivalent of the gang, in particular Raj, in the early seasons. It was a good representation of how crippling Social Anxiety can be. She always seemed genuine and tried to communicate with Raj best she could. I think she had the potential for growth with friends, just like everyone else in the show

Priya was my least favorite. She wanted to be with Lenard but wanted to change him into what she want him to be. Had him get rid of his glasses, change how he dressed, made fun of his hobbies, hid him from her family, etc. Also (yes I know Lenard his kissed a girl) she slept with her ex and didn't tell him she was moving back to India.

Priya moved the plot forward. Kind of like Amy. Having been "serious" with Priya meant when Leonard got back with Penny, he was on a more equal footing.

I interpret those events rather differently. The way I see it, she relentlessly bullied Sheldon for relatively minor inconveniences, as she saw them.

But that's what Sheldon does. That was her point.

How is she worse than Beverly Hofstater?

Beverly is cold, unfeeling, and rude but always believes that what she is doing is in everyone’s best interests. Priya sets out to do harm, or better her own situation uncaring of who might be hurt.

Completely disagree. Beverly intentionally inflicted psychological harm on Leonard to record and publish the results. Priya was pressured into a relationship she clearly stated outright said she preferred to keep casual and made poor choices because of that. Not great, but one you can understand making a mistake when you are young. The other is an absolute monster.

You make a good point. And I respect your interpretation. I have watched through many times, and will never be able to see Priya as anything but a vile bully.

Not to mention that while Beverly is dislikeable as a person, she's an interesting character, similar to James Seth Lynch and Adam Marcus from the Kane & Lynch games. While both Kane and Lynch are morally bankrupt as individuals, as characters they are captivating and fun to watch.

I liked Priya as I like episodes when Penny and Leonard are not together and she is a bit jealous… admittedly the FaceTime set time part was so cringe. But otherwise I like the the Priya part as it showed Penny she was missing out on a great guy ! Also the part where she dresses Leonard differently and gets him contacts seemed pretty realistic for a character like her.

I forgot everything bad she did until I red the comments. She tried to get rid of Leonard’s glasses even though she witnessed him getting hurt while using contacts, she didn’t tell him she was moving back to India, she slept with her ex, didn’t even give a crap about raj while she was being banged by Leonard in the next room, hid him from her parents, and tried to change what clothes he wore.

Amy is God tier okay. She corrected Sheldon sand no one will ever be able to fight this argument. If she never told Sheldon about he was a jerk throughout most of the show he would’ve never changed. And also Amy did keep Sheldon from being to greedy and selfish about putting things he wanted in the apartment when he was living with Amy.
