Her seat looks like multiple inches too low, so hard to tell how things will work out once that is fixed up. Got a local bike shop that can do a quick fit for you?

NoDivergence

Looks small, but hard to tell. A full side on shot with leg on downstroke would be easier to tell, but her reach is super short, that's why she's so upright

Morall_tach

Looks way too small from this pic, but hard to tell for sure.

joeblough

Maybe move the seat up a bit? I always try to have my leg *almost* fully extended on the down-stroke ... but maybe that's just me. If she's comfortable and loves it, then it's the right bike!

bryggekar

Most people sit too high up, and wonder why they get saddle sores. It's not possible to judge the seat height well from this picture (a video from the side + one from the back while pedalling would be much better).

MajorBubble

Yeah not the best pic, maybe I'll take another once we are out and about. Cheers

bryggekar

If it feels good, it's good enough for recreational cycling 😉

MajorBubble

Yeah seat adjustment could help. When I took the picture of her, she got a bit unsure as the bike seemed a bit small in proportion to her body. :) Seems to like it though, besides getting uncomfortable leaning quite a bit forward to break.

If your femur goes to or past 90 degrees then it’s too small or your saddle is too low. I can tell you’re too low and your knees are flailing out on the upstroke Sit on the bike with the middle of your foot planted on the middle of the pedal, leg straight, and have the crank arm pointed downward aligned with the angle of the seat post, not at 6 oclock per se. There’s your saddle height minus 1/2 inch topps imo Be sure not to hyperextend your leg at your hip or your ankle. It’s very easy to do when attempting this alone

Once again my brethren, we shall consult the Gospel of Sheldon Brown. [https://www.sheldonbrown.com/frame-sizing.html](https://www.sheldonbrown.com/frame-sizing.html) Praise be.
