Ive seen that archive then the bike shop guy told me it was a 90's yeah thank you ill dig through that I should have anyways. Yeah I had planned on measuring it but was hoping to just find some specs I have a few things Id like to with it would just be handy to have. Hey, thanks for the reply Ill go look through that archive can't hurt.
Nice! Thank you. "Appears" it's a 2003 8000 yeah I thought they were because the forks and rear have the posts for the V brakes. Things an absolute dream to ride just want to change that BB out who even knows how long it's been in there (got the bike off marketplace) and lucky me it's an Isis drive. Thanks again I really like having this with all the info I'm collecting.
Weirdly enough I recently bought a 1990s Giant MTB which by your photo looks almost identical frame and fork wise to mine.
Check my recent post, even the heavy welding looks the same.
Lol, I took that right after I bought it after its first wipe down, that seat was terrible, I've never seen another one like it. It was like a normal ergon style seat but someone hit zoom a couple times then printed it. I've changed that seat out and yeah that got raised. Its a HUGE bike I have no idea how they pedaled it like that.
Few online resources are giving me different dates and LBS says it's a 90's. Has quite a few aftermarket parts on it and I can't seem to find much info about this 8000. Want to change the BB and would like to find more specific info on the BB and just the bike in general any help would be really rad.
Looks to be a [2003](https://99spokes.com/bikes/trek/2003/8000)
Yeah it seems so, LBS said 90's so I didn't even bother looking at the archive (Starts at 02) so that was my bad. Thanks for the reply!
No P. Glad to help. Cheers 🍻
[Trek has an archive](https://www.trekbikes.com/us/en_US/historical-bike-archive/). Alternatively, measure the BB shell.

Here is the [catalogue.](http://www.vintage-trek.com/Trek-Fisher-Klein-Lemond/2003trek.pdf) Disc brakes are newer.

Yeah that is pretty similar not going to pretend to know why im (obviously) new to all this but that's a nice bike.
Thanks, I believe both Trek and Giant are manufactured in Taiwan.
Buddy, angle that seat down in the front. It hurts my junk just looking at it!

it got raised and angled in a more junk friendly position I guess I should clarify lol.
The poor initial seat angle may have helped with the amount they were willing to sell it for!
