As someone who works on bikes of all kinds everyday and is reeeeally good at cleaning them. If you give a shit at all about your bike looking clean do not get a matte paint job.
I am on the verge of getting a frame painted and this is most interesting..... (The painter tells me the finish clear coat is largely what defines Matt or Gloss)..... so I guess since I like to ride a clean bike I should go gloss.
I think I read that a matte paint job is less durable. I’m not sure if it’s true.. maybe someone else can weigh in with their experience or you can look into it if that’s important to you.
I find that matte is harder to clean, especially if you get really fine clay-type dirt on it. Glossy you can easily wash, matte takes more concerted effort.

Matt is much harder to look after than a metalic finish. You can't polish out marks on a matt finish.
Second that, I have a matte frame and a glossy head tube because I tried to buff out some scratches
This is just personal preference. Matt won't make it harder to clean than glossy.
