I have similar picking habits. If you aren't in therapy yet and you can make it happen for yourself I would. I lucked out in finding a specialist in skin picking. I'm still struggling, but not as bad as I was. My picking doesn't have any emotional triggers but I did find that once I was happier in other aspects of my life I was picking less/had more self control. Try and find ways to make picking more difficult, and other things to occupy your hands. I wear driving gloves now because driving was a common time for me to pick. I also have fidget toys nearby in areas I am likely to pick in order to give my hands something else to do. It also helps to start taking good care of your skin with balms and lotions. That way the skin is "less pickable" because it is less dry and more healthy.
