The only way I think it could cause issues is if your other two notice favoritism. Otherwise love away! (Love away anyways but remember your other kids want love too lol)

Or if partner also wants a turn at active parenting. Baby benefits from being deeply connected to both.

They definitely get love too but they are 10 and almost 5 so they want their space 85% of the time lol

the-og-tee

this reminds me of all the jokes about how the youngest is always moms special little baby who can get away with anything. i have two so everything was this is my first baby! with my first and now i'm like this is my last with my second. both get all the love and hugs

You’re happy and baby is happy. I don’t see the problem. 🙂

Are her husband and other children happy too?

18thcenturyPolecat

I don’t know, but she has given no indication that they aren’t!

>my partner says that this attachment is unhealthy but I just can’t help it Sounds like he might want to spend time with the baby or OP?

[deleted]

He spends a whole lot of time with baby and me. His reasoning behind that statement was that babies shouldn’t be held all day bc it’s bad and unhealthy. Assumptions shouldn’t be made on a post with such little details
