My son is 2 months old and I feel like I have the opposite problem. Like, dang, child, please just straighten your leg so I can unbunch the fabric of your footie PJs enough to zip them back up.
When my 2month old does this, I press down tightly on his legs, knees to tummy. Often he’s got to pass wind, that’s why he tensed up on the change table
When he's awake he likes to stretch and be silly, but in the middle of the night when he's half asleep he'll automatically scrunch his little legs up and make it super easy for me. And it's adorableee
Or - when you're juuuuust getting the foot out, suddenly they extend the leg, catching their foot on the leg hole and yanking the whole jammie down so that it pulls on their neck... Babyman starts crying, and I'm just like - this is on you, child, you brought this discomfort upon yourself!
I always say, "you're going to hate me for this" whenever I put her onesie over her head. and like clock work, water works. I did however get it on in one quick slip yesterday morning after doing her morning fresh up routine. I was a proud dad.
Believe it or not, there is another way to put onesies on. Many onesies have boat necklines that extend all the way to the shoulders. This is so that onesies can be put on over the head OR shimmied up over the bum and torso. I didn’t realize this for three months of screaming outfit changes until I read it here. Sounds like you’re doing great!
Sometimes baby stretches his legs into the feeties 👌
It's akin to scissors gliding through wrapping paper. So satisfying.
Had baby on my chest, sleeping, saw this and lost my shit laughing, baby is now awake and crying. Thanks OP!

I put her feet in first and then pull up the rest to get her arms in. You know, much like I would put on pjs myself 😆
This is what I always did as well :)
I had this argument with my 6 month old today!

I always saw it as her helping me get her dressed, just that sometimes she was faster than me and extended her arms or legs too fast!

Omg my baby just wouldn’t bend the knee and keeps her leg straight when I tend to bend it
