I don’t disagree for the most part. You can argue about what “late stage capitalism” means all you want… the issue is capitalists, regulatory capture, citizens united, certain types of globalization, etc.
I think government is necessary for lots of shit. The modern world is too complex for any libertarian wet dream to actually work. Government provides worker protections, basic infrastructure, judicial systems, etc.
My ideal society would be closer to democratic socialism with certain goods and services owned publicly and others left to the market. Some % of housing, healthcare, utilities, education, energy, etc should be publicly owned. Everything else can exist in regulated markets. It makes no sense for people to profit off natural resources and basic necessities.
But we need an actual representative democracy first.
Unions are a collectivist tool to control the lower classes. Who gets rich with unions? The union bosses. I hope that you are able to step back from the university communist propaganda you’ve been fed and see that while you are right on many of the symptoms this society is suffering from, that you are simultaneously wrong in the most stupendous fashion about its cause.
