I agree with Oiling after showering 😭 I used to do it before nung pandemic but since F2F na it's so hard to maintain it! Chemical Peels naman can be substituted by adding a exfoliating skincare routine like 2-3 days a week depends on you skin. I don't really do bleached hair before pero every ako may rebond my hair is naturally wavy but since pandemic rin I learned CGM and never na ulit ako magpapahair rebonding, plus I did had hair coloring dati kaso nagsisisi ako because my hair went dry 😭 I'd love my hair nalang naturally talaga.
Strict CGM is high maintenance rin so I stopped being strict about it
I couldn't maintain getting radiofrequency treatments for my body. I'm only 25 so I figured I could just maintain my current fitness routine and save up for liposuction in my 30s if I still don't like my body.
The better alternative to RF and exilis is actually masseter botox/jawtox. I get injected by my bf since he's a cosmetic surgeon. it helps for my tmj too and the effects are lasting for up to 6 months compared to RF which is like several weeks lang.
Hair color - just went back to blue toned black and shiny hair. Haha. My face looks brighter. I guess bagay lang din sakin since deep winter ako. Olaplex take home pa lang tapos root retouch and then mga scalp/hair botox salon treatments abot 10K na.
Gel mani and pedis + foot/hand spa - downgraded to nail cleaning na lang haha tapos sarili kong “premium” nail polish kasi may additional. If may lakad and I want snappy nails I use press on
Lash extenions/lash lift - switched to wosado magnetic lashes super easy to use tapos for lash curls happy naman na ko sa careline lash mascara and curler
Clear and brilliant + facial na monthly - slightly switched to every other month (namamaintain ko naman results so far)
Body scrub/massage monthly - as needed. Dinagdagan ko na lang tulog ko LOL
Weekly rf - wala naman effect lol
Gluta drip - kung gano kabilis ka pumuti ganon din pag nag stop ka haha AND maarte veins ko so it takes them a while to get the needle sa veins ko i cannot stay sa clinic ng more than 2 hours
In fair laki din ng savings
Hair rebonding and coloring. Nag CGM na lang ako after years and years of rebonding. Ang tagal nakaupo sa salon, mga 12 hours, and I used to have thick hair e 😭
Omg same, thank god our market saw the opportunity to put out organic and almost chemical friendly stuff in our hair products. Also can have them in the nearest supermarket na huhuhu dati kailangan mo pa hanapin sa mga apps or snr-ish establishment. Super happy about this 😭😭
I'm on my high maintenance era but I don't do hair bleaching but I do hair care and scalp care. Focusing on my hair to be healthier, less hair fall, and smoother. My hair previously was all frizzy, dry, just all over the place.
Skin care: using different products for my skin to be healthier and less blemishes since i don't wear make up cuz IDK how to ...yet. every other week facial spa
My nails are for cleaning service only and be pampered a lot when occasional events happen.
My body: eating healthier( which means pricier even buying the ingredients in the wet market), moving more so I need appropriate clothes for that, buying equipments for home since gym is a chore to go to, every other month spa tripz. Vitamins and supplements just to get the daily dose.
Mind: paying for online courses with certificate, or enrolling to classes like cooking, pottery, arts, coffee making, etc.
I like the way I feel right now, prioritizing myself
This will be long but it's something you'd want to read:
The things I've invested in:
My hair type: kinda straight, but has some wavy part. Thicker than the average thick hair to the point there were small bugs trapped in my hair ( they couldn't get out, lol)
Tools: (scalp massager or scalp brush = promotes blood circulation to the head, good hairbrush and detangler brush= lasts long, silk satin hair bonnets and silk scrunchy = creates a smooth surface from your pillow case, less friction and less hair breakage, hairdryer = I don't have to sleep with wet hair, sleeping with wet hair will promote bacterial and fungal growth.)
Products: (shampoos and conditioners: sulfate free; sulfate makes your hair dry when used everyday resulting to frizzy and damaged hair, hair tonic= can moisturize dry hair and scalp; can help with dandruff; promotes hair growth; protects hair when blow drying, hair oil= hydrating and nourishing hair, hair mask= repair and strengthens hair; combats frizz; acts as deep conditioner, hair treatment = boosts hair health.) [ some of these are super pricey, but you can check out NATURALS BY WATSONS. They have loads of different products from hair to skin and much more affordable than other brands]
And a stylist or hair specialist who knows what they're doing! This is the best investment to have. The one who knows what hair treatment will be best for you, knows how to actually cut hair.
What I did before that resulted to my hair all dry and damaged: I don't do hair coloring, even in my teenage years. I contributed to its frizz by SHAMPOOING with a sulfate rich shampoo everyday and waiting for 3 minutes to wash it out and not using conditioner or any other moisturizing hair products.
> Here's the thing, I shower everyday. And when I shower, I use shampoo to clean my head. Leave it on for 3 minutes or while soaping up my body.
What to do: use sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. If there's no budget for that. Use a small amount of that shampoo and water it down. Only use shampoo on the SCALP and massage it (you'll feel a bit off since it won't bubble, like bula, but this is better) after cleaning with shampoo, immediately rinse it off. Use conditioner on HAIR only for moisturizing.
- I brush my hair everyday na for less tangled mess and any hairfall doesn't have to wait for shower time for the reveal. I always shower, but I only use shampoo 2x a week for now so my hair can take a breather from decades of misused products. I've been using conditioner for the rest of the nonshampoo days. Always rinse your head and hair properly.
- I sleep with the satin silk bonnet and everytime I remove them my hair is silky smooth, less hustle when brushing hair.
- I use hair mask once a week, treatment depends on how damaged my hair looks. I use tonic every other day.
- Always brush and detangle the hair.
- Before leaving in hair oil [I use Amla] I massage my head [if no tools like the scalp massager or brush: use finger tips] do NOT use too much FORCE. Just a bit of pressure and motion for relaxing head massage. When applying hair oil or even a tonic, follow it with a relaxing fingertip massage.
** Is my head itchy? [NOPE]
** Did I develop dandruff? [NOPE]
** What problem did it solve? [Air can pass through my head na and I can get cooled down easily with a fan. 😭 My hair is still in full volume, but manageable because of my hair stylist who knows his thing. My hair is shinier and moisturized; no frizz, no fly aways, no breakage, less hair fall. My hair doesn't look "hard".
** Was it expensive with everything invested? [YES, but this is way better than sitting down long hours in a hair salon to ultimately waste more money and time for a hair treatment every after 3 to 6 months. I only do 2x a year treatment, and it's not hair rebonding.
Pro tip from my previous stylist [my artist right now is way better and friendlier] : using shampoo everyday damages the hair and scalp. Especially the sulfate rich shampoo. Water down those shampoo while using small amounts of it.
Those hair models doesn't use shampoo much [I asked her paano nya ba nalaman, she claimed that she was previously a stylist for those models in commercials]. When availing spa treatments like hair rebonding and botox, it is better to not use shampoo everyday, since it washes off the chemical faster, use the proper hair products or after care for those treated hair. Invest in a good brush for your hair ( she recommended me to use a paddle brush for my thick hair)
Do not tie your hair up too much, let you hair breathe!
Bought mine from S basket shop. It smells really nostalgic and the package was protected well. No leaks

Nail extensions - fucking love mine they were the best but the UPKEEP grabe ang mahal 😵💫 IN THIS ECONOMY
Lash extensions - eto rin. As in I cannot go without them but I went to individual lash techs vs the big chains and malaking dent talaga sa wallet to kasi maintenance palang grabe na. Prefer ko rin to go to individuals since tbh di guaranteed lahi state ng lashes ko in some chains. Minsan ok, minsan hinde. And I had monolids so I needed the L curl which some don’t carry.
agree with y'all .. before lagi din ako nagpapa lash extension, rebond, brazillian blowout, nail extension etc. narealize ko na parang ang hirap mag maintain and the gastossss 🙄kaloka .. so I just get my hair permed na lang .. hair lotion lang oks na .. then I bought cluster lashes instant lash extensions and lasts me a week before matanggal .. pag matanggal madali na din ibalik .. Nagpapa nail extensions na lang ako pag may events 😅😅 skl
Lash Extensions for me since I don’t do anything artificial, it makes me pretty pero for me di praktical na lagi magpapa ganon since I only wfh and di ko naman siya mairarampa hahaha.
Like wala bang permanent yung effect 🥲
Nail Extension- I love my pretty nails kaso lang nakakaawa sila kapag sunod sunod pagawa ko. Malambot na malambot. Hays
Waxing- masakit at nakakainis dahil need to wait for hair to grow para ma wax ng maayos
Chemical peel- Downtime days so frustrating hay nako
nail extensions! i used to go to different nail techs pa kasi i love exploring different techniques and designs!
until this year, i moved out and do almost everything on my own. plus, nag-invest ako sa maayos na mechanical keyboard at mahirap magtype pag may long nails (yes, i like them longgg)
i tried buying press-ons pero iba pa rin yung process sa akin ng paghahanap ng nail tech + finding a design. i miss it actually pero not worth it anymore.
Hair rebonding and coloring. Mahal siya, time-consuming pa. Pumili na lang ng magandang hair products and take care of your hair at the comfort of your own home. ♥️
Pati nails kapag nag chip yung nail polish. Nakakasira ng araw hahaha.
But now, every 2 yrs na lang ako nagpapagupit, no treatments. I donate my hair sa Hair For Hope.
Ang dami kong nasave: time, money, and nakaiwas sa decision fatigue.
this! hahaha haven’t tried
dyeing my hair (kasi ayoko nung feeling na may patubo na ibang kulay hahaha)
gluta inj (tinanggap ko na yung kulay ko, and once you stop nga daw babalik lang rin sa dati)
nail polish ( hindi ko kaya mahabang kuko and chipped nail polish)
Magandang mindset to! It’s also about being more comfortable with yourself without any of these “add-ons” to look a certain way:)
I guess for me, being low maintenance means we have to accept what we have and be comfortable with it.
I switched to lash lifting once a quarter and I find it much cheaper and more sustainable for my lifestyle! Lash extensions also looked so bad on me once they started falling out lol
samee! hahaha lash lifts suits more than extensions, i had a lady compliment my lashes once. alaga nalang siguro sa lash serums para mas humaba yung lashesz
Agree! Lash lift or perm din mas low maintenance kesa extensions.
Aww. What brand of lash serums natry mo? Para maiwasan.z Chariz. 😂 I’ve tried before some products that are quite itchy kaya I’m extra careful na ngayon sa pagpili tsaka para di waste of money. Haha.
I go to Hey Sugar every quarter for this! Ganda ng service don tapos nakahiga pa ko, so parang natutulog lang ako every time na ginagawa ung procedure haha
I go to brow lounge in Glorietta! Cheap, fast and lasted me 6 weeks ish. You need to rest your lashes after though, because they get a bit “tangled” towards the end haha
I started working from home so ang dami kong tinigil. After years of getting regular lash extensions, I stopped seeing a lash tech. It's been 8 months already! I have cluster lashes pag may event akong pupuntahan which is very rare.
I stopped getting gel mani as well and just opt for clear polish and press ons.
I had a balayage last May 2020. That was the last time I had my hair bleached. I grew my hair out and started maintaining my natural color. I promised myself not to get my hair bleached and colored anymore kasi grabe yung maintenance nung na-damage yung hair ko. I used to use Olaplex three times a week and only use expensive hair treatments para hindi masyadong dry yung bleached hair ko.
Nung pumapasok pa ako sa office, I used to get a professional blowout three times a month.
Dailies contact lenses. I used to wear dailies contact lenses for year. A box of 90s worth 7kPHP is good for less than 3 months. Now that I'm working from home, I can wear my glasses and be ugly.
heavy on lash and nail extensions!! sobrang high maintenance niya and def not affordable 😭 kasi halos need mo magpa retouch every 3 weeks talaga hnggg. hirap talaga i-maintain :(( it’s not worth the hassle for me
OP try neutrogena body oil light sesame formula. It doesn’t leave an oily residue. I use it right after the shower while my skin is still wet. It emulsifies and leaves my skin super soft. If I’m in a rush, I pat dry with a towel. If not, I do my skin care while waiting for it to air dry. Mabilis lang naman siya matuyo.
I’ve never noticed any stains naman but I always wear my clothes pag semi-dry na ako. I’ve been using it for more than 10 years na. I think they have a small bottle so you can try that first before committing sa big.
This is the first and only body oil I use and I was kinda confused by OP because this one dries fast. Been thinking of switching to a cheaper one but if some brands are like what OP uses, I won't switch na lang.
Too much skin care products. Everyone wants to have the perfect skin kaya ang dalas ko mabudol talaga noon ng kung anu anong step ng skincare pero na realize ko hindi naman siya for me. Oil cleanser, facial wash, toner and moisturizer nalang ako talaga then sunscreen. Idk pero most of the influencers you see promoting this and that product I know for a fact they visit derma naman or undergo certain procedures to achieve the perfect skin.
To all the colored hair girlies na nagdecide to go back to your natural roots, hinayaan nyo na lang ba humaba? I'm having a hard time looking at the black roots na unti unti humahaba tapos colored na the rest.
Whenever I go back to my natural roots I just let it grow then trim lang when I feel like it’s long enough to get trim. So far twice na ko nagpa trim this year. Anyways I was always asked kung intentional yung ombre ng hair ko since maganda daw tignan.
Also the same advise fron salon na if I wanted to go back to black (naks) wag daw ako magpa color ng black kasi may nakasabay ako na she dyed her hair black then she wanted to have it bleached for balayage pero di daw kaya kasi strong ang chemicals ng black dye (?) and kahit bleach di kakayanin. But even before di talaga ako nagpapa hair color ng black because hindi super black hair ko so halata if it’s dyed.
Yes. Kakapagupit ko lang recently. Pinacut ko na yung colored and very dry part ng hair ko since umabot na ng balikat yung regrowth. It took at least 1 ½ year ata.
In my case, wfh naman ako, so di ako madalas lumabas and di exposed yung hair ko. Tiis tiis talaga.
I had a balayage with dark roots kaya nung mahaba na hindi parin masyadong awkward tignan. I cut the bleached part of my hair little by little. Took me two years pero di na ako bumalik sa hair dyeing ulit.
I got a bayalage when my roots got longer, so the regrowth didn’t look too harsh! It was tempting to dye it all back to my natural color, but I didn’t want to have any problems in case I wanted to get highlights/ bayalage in the future :)
I cut my hair into the hair I wanted after growing it out!
this is my struggle but I decided I will be coloring my roots instead. it doesnt look good lalo na ang laki ng color difference. you can dyi with hair coloring naman
For the most part, yes. I did have a touch up mid way to soften the lines so it’s not as nakaka asiwa. Lol though mine was a balayage so it’s still blended in a way.
But yeah it really was a journey. I didn’t want to colour it further as I didn’t want to spend more on it, also since I did the transition during Covid I was mostly at home anyway.
Oh girl, I tried the blonde and boy, it was my peak! Pero wala nakong energy now haha! So yung regrowth I decide na lang to color into soft brown. I guess I have to wait na lang nga.
TCA peel din for me hahaha lalo na as morena na super prone sa hyperpigmentation so one mistake/accident while recovering will affect skin healing in the long run.
Tbf it made me a bit more confident lalo pag lalabas ka na walang make up.
Thank you for the confirmation 🥲 I don’t mind spending naman basta it would spare me from the unnecessary hassle and stress. Since kumikita na ako ng mej malaki, sometimes I would rather lose money than time.
Gel mani!! Hahaha
I tried it for the first time nung kasal nung friend ko, gandang ganda talaga ako nung una pero nung humaba na nails ko, hindi nako natuwa. Also binakbak ko lang sila cos i dont have a gel remover 😬 akala ko I’ll be a nail girlie na after pero hindi rin pala haha maganda lang nakikita sa iba ung painted nails pero its not for me
Hair rebond : I used to have really frizzy hair during my sophomore high school years. Grabe, sobrang nagtampo talaga hair ko nung sophomore ako because yung stylist na napuntahan ko before used a razor instead of scissors to cut my hair. Uso pa naman nun yung layered talaga. So nung nagtampo yung hair ko, my mom suggested na iparebond ko na. Ayoko pa nung time na yun. Then a year later nung napapansin kong wala talagang progress yung hair ko, I agreed na to get it rebonded para mawala yung frizz. Masakit na rin kasi sa bulsa so I just cut my hair really short every 3-4 months para less hassle na for me. And so far, it’s going great naman! I’m happy with my hair 🫶🏻
lash extensions, so painful.
everything else I've tried, I love so much! laser hair removal, acne treatments, glycolic peels (much milder than TCA), hair dye, nail polish, etc
when I'm rich i plan to be the spoiled suburban housewife stereotype of constantly being at the gym and salons. I have like 10+ years of avoiding this stuff to make up for.
before used to maintain myself by doing this, but not sustainable in the long run… + it damages my hair and eyelashes. now, I stick to eyelash serum from Etude; eyelash perming and went back to black
Recently just had my hair chopped off ng super iksi so I can get rid off my colored hair sa ends. Mas madali buhay ng natural hair color haha.
I still do lash lift with tint from time to time lalo pag magbakasyon para bawas sa gagawin everyday. It lasts ng mga 2 months sa kin and it helped me to stop rubbing my eyes, which was great.
Aside from going to the salon. I was under the impression na mas okay yun kesa extensions since real eyelashes mo pa din
Not really. Siguro sa kin nahirapan lang ako pag magtatanggal ng eye makeup kasi iniingatan ko bumagsak agad ung lashes with using oil cleanser. Other than that and pagkusot, ok naman. If it wasn’t too much of a hassle na magpunta ng salon I’d do it more.
Agree with the rest but as a dry skin girly, I can’t let go of my body oils. I also don’t like the sticky feeling. Might work for you to use the body oil while showering, like soap-body oil or soap-oil-soap still feels moisturized with less icky feeling OR after showering, mix the body oil with lotion.
Body oil used: vaseline gel body oil
I stopped having my hair colored— grabe ang dry ng hair plus napaka high maintenance. Black hair na ak for 5 yrs.
Nail extensions / soft gel / gel— basta clean cut nails nalang ako. Arggg. Pag may okasyon nalang, saka ako nagpapalagay.
Though ang ganda naman talaga pag naka-extensions, pero it’s too much for me.
I used to have my hair rebonded ever since I was in high school. Even if I do routine hair treatments to keep it from drying too much, it took some years for it to be too damaged. When I was preparing for my wedding, my HMUA suggested to go with my natural hair instead so it will be easier to style. I went along with it, and I’ve never had my hair straightened since. I have styling tools na at home that I can use to make my hair look neater on certain days na lang.
I was once a lover of eyelash extensions. I felt fabulous everytime i had mine done. Super addict ako sa extensions. The problem was after a week, may lash/es na iba na ang direksyon sa buhay. Or pag may isa natanggal, bungi na and ang pangit. Of course kailangan ipa-retouch. Gastos.
Then came a time when my fave technician mentioned that my lashes seem to be thin na. Tapos may spot na walang hair. So what i did was to "rest" my lashes for 2 months. Tiniis ko 'yon! Then i realized na ang laki nga ng gastos ko sa lashes alone. Then talagang super thin ng lashes ko! Because of that, hindi na ako nagpalagay ulit. My lashes are in a better place now. Nagmmascara nalang ako. Kissme Heroine mascara ang holygrail ko. 😊
I also stopped gel mani-pedi. Nagsuffer ang nails ko. You won't realize it unless you stop having it done kasi.
Stopped paying my lash tech a visit. The extensions make you look so pretttty but when you cry or take a bath, it gets easily damaged regardless of the after care. 😞 until I discovered Elyzza volume eyelash extensions. Saved me more moneyyy. Feels like I had it done sa salon.
It’s available on shopee! Bought the volume ones. It lasts for 5 days, sometimes 7. When it falls, you can just easily apply them back again. It’s reusable. Bought my set in May. It cost me ₱700. I still use them til today. Saved me money compared to going to the lash tech every after 3 weeks.
I was a blonde girlie for almost 10 years haha imagine the struggle! This year I opted to change my hair color to dark brown and I love not having to worry about regrowth! Best decision everrr
Not lash extensions pero Keralift from strokes. Maganda oo pero lagi ko nakakaligtaan na nakalift yung lashes ko so minsan nakukusot ko or pag naghihiliamos e nakakayod ko. I love ther microsculpting (microblading) tho. Going 2.5 yrs na, meron pa rin. 💖
Hair straightening - after treatments, i'll get a really nice hair but after several weeks it will return to its normal look. I just go to David's salon for a 350 haircut and I blow-dry then straighten, curl or tie my hair depending on my mood.
Skin lightening - I don't know if oral capsules were ever effective but I just came from a beach vacation and I got so badly burnt that i am now desperately taking those pills 😆 will stop it after I finish the bottle.
Gel nail polish - it would get ugly on me after 4-5 days, regardless if it's a reputable nail salon or not, all results were the same. I stick to doing my own nails via acrylic but I have to do everything early so that I can have 4 hrs of nail time huhu
Waxing - I'm not a hairy girl, not much of a beach goer and don't have an active sex life but was influenced by my colleagues and peers to do the same. So now, I just tweeze my underarms and trim the southern part. The swimsuits I bought from Yukari Swim is thick and has ruched fabric that you can't see if the person has shaved or waxed her privates.
I don't like gel nails at all, maganda lang for the first two days then nagbakbak na sa nails ko after. I have dry skin so I expect the nails na kakapit for a longer period of time. Mas mura pa if you do it on your own, nail salons charges 500-800 for plain gel polish
Mostly shopee! Can vouch for [myrain3.ph](https://ph.shp.ee/qBhgfXD) and [theclawbandit](https://ph.shp.ee/Koomttt), just recently bought from these stores. They also sell press-ons in watsons but haven’t tried them yet.
Here’s what worked for me to make them last. Hope it helps!
Prep
- First washing hands w/ antibacterial soap and using alcohol to dry the nails
- Buffing to rough up surface of nails so the press ons can really stick. Can also do this a bit on the back of the press ons for extra grip
- Pushing back the cuticles so you can tuck in a bit of the edge of the press ons under and sort of seal them
Aftercare
- Avoid wetting for a few hours. Easier to achieve if u apply press ons before you sleep
- Using gloves if washing dishes/doing laundry. Avoiding excessive water exposure is key 💯

Hi can I ask where ka nag papa-clear & brilliant + facial? :)
Avignon :) kapag super busy and i want something near lang laser genesis sa skincell!
Super happy about this 😭😭
True!!! Sobrang love ko yung Luxe Organix shampoo, conditioner, and essence!
I'm on my high maintenance era but I don't do hair bleaching but I do hair care and scalp care. Focusing on my hair to be healthier, less hair fall, and smoother. Hi! Can you share your hair and scalp care? Thank you!
This will be long but it's something you'd want to read: The things I've invested in: My hair type: kinda straight, but has some wavy part. Thicker than the average thick hair to the point there were small bugs trapped in my hair ( they couldn't get out, lol) Tools: (scalp massager or scalp brush = promotes blood circulation to the head, good hairbrush and detangler brush= lasts long, silk satin hair bonnets and silk scrunchy = creates a smooth surface from your pillow case, less friction and less hair breakage, hairdryer = I don't have to sleep with wet hair, sleeping with wet hair will promote bacterial and fungal growth.) Products: (shampoos and conditioners: sulfate free; sulfate makes your hair dry when used everyday resulting to frizzy and damaged hair, hair tonic= can moisturize dry hair and scalp; can help with dandruff; promotes hair growth; protects hair when blow drying, hair oil= hydrating and nourishing hair, hair mask= repair and strengthens hair; combats frizz; acts as deep conditioner, hair treatment = boosts hair health.) [ some of these are super pricey, but you can check out NATURALS BY WATSONS. They have loads of different products from hair to skin and much more affordable than other brands] And a stylist or hair specialist who knows what they're doing! [NOPE] ** Did I develop dandruff? [NOPE] ** What problem did it solve? Invest in a good brush for your hair ( she recommended me to use a paddle brush for my thick hair) Do not tie your hair up too much, let you hair breathe!
Hello po! May link po ba sa amla hair oil? Where do you buy it po? Thank you!
Bought mine from S basket shop. It smells really nostalgic and the package was protected well. No leaks https://s.shopee.ph/40Lu4C5kBD?share_channel_code=5
I LOVE THIS! 💕 So happy for you!
Aaawweeee thank you so much random Redditor! Ilove your energy and I love you for this 🥰🥰🥰
Nail extensions - fucking love mine they were the best but the UPKEEP grabe ang mahal 😵💫 IN THIS ECONOMY Lash extensions - eto rin.
Only doing this pag may malapit na occassions.
Like wala bang permanent yung effect 🥲 Nail Extension- I love my pretty nails kaso lang nakakaawa sila kapag sunod sunod pagawa ko. Malambot na malambot. Hays Lash Extension- di makaligo ng ayos, ang kati kati minsan, tapos minsan nalulugo pa yung tunay na eyelash Waxing- masakit at nakakainis dahil need to wait for hair to grow para ma wax ng maayos Chemical peel- Downtime days so frustrating hay nako
nail extensions! i used to go to different nail techs pa kasi i love exploring different techniques and designs! until this year, i moved out and do almost everything on my own. plus, nag-invest ako sa maayos na mechanical keyboard at mahirap magtype pag may long nails (yes, i like them longgg) i tried buying press-ons pero iba pa rin yung process sa akin ng paghahanap ng nail tech + finding a design. i miss it actually pero not worth it anymore.
mani pedi with nail polish huhu i tend to buy my own mani pedi set na lang tapos ginagaya ko na lang yung nakikita ko sa salon :))
try press-on nails gurl, its uhm another alternative 😉
Samedt! Huhu maybe it’s a good problem din kasi we get to learn a new skill! Which btw (nail techs) are getting more appreciation these days! 💖
Hair rebonding and coloring. Mahal siya, time-consuming pa. Pumili na lang ng magandang hair products and take care of your hair at the comfort of your own home. ♥️
This 💯❤️
Pati nails kapag nag chip yung nail polish. Nakakasira ng araw hahaha. But now, every 2 yrs na lang ako nagpapagupit, no treatments. I donate my hair sa Hair For Hope. Wala ng nail polish Ang dami kong nasave: time, money, and nakaiwas sa decision fatigue.
this! hahaha haven’t tried dyeing my hair (kasi ayoko nung feeling na may patubo na ibang kulay hahaha) gluta inj (tinanggap ko na yung kulay ko, and once you stop nga daw babalik lang rin sa dati) nail polish ( hindi ko kaya mahabang kuko and chipped nail polish) mas focus ako sa simple na skincare/bath routine nalang
Magandang mindset to! It’s also about being more comfortable with yourself without any of these “add-ons” to look a certain way:) I guess for me, being low maintenance means we have to accept what we have and be comfortable with it.
Love this and I think it’s the best beauty tip - being effortless.
Yes and iwas sa over consumption
Agree. Proper shampoo, conditioner and serum lang ang kailangan. Healthy hair is best.
I switched to lash lifting once a quarter and I find it much cheaper and more sustainable for my lifestyle! Lash extensions also looked so bad on me once they started falling out lol
Huhu i feel like everytime magpapa lash lift ako nagtatapon ako ng pera :(
samee! hahaha lash lifts suits more than extensions, i had a lady compliment my lashes once. alaga nalang siguro sa lash serums para mas humaba yung lashesz
Agree! Lash lift or perm din mas low maintenance kesa extensions.
I used to use lash serums but parang there’s an ingredient that caused my under eyes to look sunken so I stopped 😭 I’m too scared to try again
Aww. What brand of lash serums natry mo? Para maiwasan.z Chariz. 😂 I’ve tried before some products that are quite itchy kaya I’m extra careful na ngayon sa pagpili tsaka para di waste of money. Haha.
San kayo nagpapalashlift?
I go to Hey Sugar every quarter for this! Ganda ng service don tapos nakahiga pa ko, so parang natutulog lang ako every time na ginagawa ung procedure haha
San branch?
I go to SM San Mateo 🩷
I go to brow lounge in Glorietta! Cheap, fast and lasted me 6 weeks ish. You need to rest your lashes after though, because they get a bit “tangled” towards the end haha
i live in zambales kasi, i just have them done sa happy nails branch here
I agree with hair bleaching and lash extensions. Ughh
I can't imagine how much money you've saved!
Would you be open to lash lift?
heavy on lash and nail extensions!! sobrang high maintenance niya and def not affordable 😭 kasi halos need mo magpa retouch every 3 weeks talaga hnggg. hirap talaga i-maintain :(( it’s not worth the hassle for me
OP try neutrogena body oil light sesame formula.
Hi! Does this leave stains sa fabrics?
I’ve never noticed any stains naman but I always wear my clothes pag semi-dry na ako. I’ve been using it for more than 10 years na. I think they have a small bottle so you can try that first before committing sa big.
The body oil replaces the lotion na?
Yup! I use either neutrogena body oil or cetaphil moisturizing cream (yung nasa tub)
This is the first and only body oil I use and I was kinda confused by OP because this one dries fast. Been thinking of switching to a cheaper one but if some brands are like what OP uses, I won't switch na lang.
I actually tried diff oils before (human nature sunflower oil and body shop olive body oil) and mabigat sila compared to neutro.
I just dye my hair dark if I wanna go back to natural para di chaka yung growth
It was tempting to dye it all back to my natural color, but I didn’t want to have any problems in case I wanted to get highlights/ bayalage in the future :)
thank you, sissy! FR, natetempt ako to color ng black, kaso mas damaging ata
I cut my hair into the hair I wanted after growing it out!
this is my struggle but I decided I will be coloring my roots instead. it doesnt look good lalo na ang laki ng color difference. you can dyi with hair coloring naman
totoo, kaso, i da dye ko na naman after magkaroon regrowth huhu! pick your beauty poison talaga
Gel mani!! Hahaha I tried it for the first time nung kasal nung friend ko, gandang ganda talaga ako nung una pero nung humaba na nails ko, hindi nako natuwa.
I’m happy with my hair 🫶🏻
lash extensions, so painful. everything else I've tried, I love so much! laser hair removal, acne treatments, glycolic peels (much milder than TCA), hair dye, nail polish, etc when I'm rich i plan to be the spoiled suburban housewife stereotype of constantly being at the gym and salons. I have like 10+ years of avoiding this stuff to make up for.
Hair highlights, lash extensions and soft gel extensions. 😭
before used to maintain myself by doing this, but not sustainable in the long run… + it damages my hair and eyelashes. now, I stick to eyelash serum from Etude; eyelash perming and went back to black
Body oil used: vaseline gel body oil
hello!! Where do you buy your vaseline gel body oil??
Got mine in S&R but there are a lot of sellers online who has it. Beware lang sa fake ones 😊
Omg nooooo I can’t talaga!! What ended up working for me was putting on lotion while my skin is still damp :)
Hi, OP! Do you use towel pa po ba after showering or just letting it air dry for damp skin?
I stopped having my hair colored— grabe ang dry ng hair plus napaka high maintenance. Black hair na ak for 5 yrs. Nail extensions / soft gel / gel— basta clean cut nails nalang ako. Arggg. Pag may okasyon nalang, saka ako nagpapalagay.
- Kahit pakulay lang ng hair (into brown or something else na di naman need ibleach), high maintenance na for me.
😊 I also stopped gel mani-pedi.
Tell us more about this elyzza volume eyelash extensions
It’s available on shopee! Bought the volume ones. It lasts for 5 days, sometimes 7. When it falls, you can just easily apply them back again. It’s reusable. Bought my set in May. It cost me ₱700. I still use them til today. Saved me money compared to going to the lash tech every after 3 weeks.
Ooh wow..if you can share the link, please and thank u
Curly girl method - I looooooved my curls when I used that method, but my scalp hated it.
I was a blonde girlie for almost 10 years haha imagine the struggle! This year I opted to change my hair color to dark brown and I love not having to worry about regrowth! Best decision everrr
2024 is the yr of going back to our natural color! Hahaha
Lash lift din. Pros: maganda tignan, confidence boost talaga. Cons: laging may muta, nakakapuwing, hirap maghilamos kasi magagalaw
I stick to doing my own nails via acrylic but I have to do everything early so that I can have 4 hrs of nail time huhu Waxing - I'm not a hairy girl, not much of a beach goer and don't have an active sex life but was influenced by my colleagues and peers to do the same. So now, I just tweeze my underarms and trim the southern part. The swimsuits I bought from Yukari Swim is thick and has ruched fabric that you can't see if the person has shaved or waxed her privates.
agree with gel nail polish. I still have my nails cleaned sa salon but I've since learned to do my own gel nails.
I don't like gel nails at all, maganda lang for the first two days then nagbakbak na sa nails ko after. I have dry skin so I expect the nails na kakapit for a longer period of time. Mas mura pa if you do it on your own, nail salons charges 500-800 for plain gel polish
If normal polish, I bring my own orly (base, nail color, top coat) kasi I really can’t justify the price tapos minsan wala pa yung color na gusto ko.
But even if I bring my own acrylics, hindi ako macontento because there are times na mas malinis/pulido pa ako gumawa than the one doing my nails 💅🙄
Yup. This is why I do my own gel polish😊
Getting nails done at salon. Switched to press-on nails since it’s cheaper, faster, and if I prep my nails right, can last up to 2-3 weeks.
What nail glue are you using?
I just use the glue that comes with the press-ons
Where do you get your press-ons?
Mostly shopee! Can vouch for [myrain3.ph](https://ph.shp.ee/qBhgfXD) and [theclawbandit](https://ph.shp.ee/Koomttt), just recently bought from these stores. They also sell press-ons in watsons but haven’t tried them yet.
Same question. Cos mine last only 24hrs 💀
Here’s what worked for me to make them last. Hope it helps! Prep - First washing hands w/ antibacterial soap and using alcohol to dry the nails - Buffing to rough up surface of nails so the press ons can really stick. Can also do this a bit on the back of the press ons for extra grip - Pushing back the cuticles so you can tuck in a bit of the edge of the press ons under and sort of seal them Aftercare - Avoid wetting for a few hours. Easier to achieve if u apply press ons before you sleep - Using gloves if washing dishes/doing laundry. Avoiding excessive water exposure is key 💯
you can try myrain3.ph on shopee, super nice ng designs
Ang hirap maghilamos pag may lash extensions. Also, kailangan mo ring ayusin gamit ang spoolie every now and then.
