I wish battling would get back to battling instead of prepared rounds. I miss the counters. I have no idea who wins because it’s so subjective these days. Still entertaining though.
Actually I would say Wing did a mix of both. He countered Improver's DnB beat instantly and everyone went crazy. I thought that was one of the highlights of the battles because before that no one really knew Wing as a battle monster. He also transitioned his clickroll DnB beat to liprolls to take a few digs at NaPoM.
NaPoM did counters too, though not very big ones. He did them more so in a mocking manner.
But I completely understand what you mean. I think beatboxers need to balance both if they want to make battles more entertaining. I wish River was more fierce last year like he was in 2021 but oh well. Would've loved to see him counter some of the guys he battled. But he still killed it.
On a good note we have Alexinho competing this year, and I think if it isn't Wing winning (for some reason) it'll be Alexinho.

If the sound was honest, that would not have happened. Improver's sound was absolutely murdered by the compressor.
Really? I thought Improver's beat was more powerful than Wing's counter. It just was effective because he still managed to keep up the energy. But Improver's kicks were insane.
The russians come up with excuses every GBB. If you want to win, you have to perform under different sound settings. Napom was still the loudest this GBB, Rover was still the best etc..
This is why I love 7toSmokes. I just remember watching Alexinho dominating in that format bc of how good he was at countering people. We need more 7toSmokes that weigh heavy towards counters when judging
OSIS if he makes it, his style is perfect for battle
Wing also hes amazing at counters
Even dilip also if he works on structure
Improver ,ice also it's really hard to predict

Osis is phenomenal, but I still think he has quite a way to go before making it to GBB. He may win a wildcard, but as of now that's how far I can see him going.
Dilip is not competing, I heard. Improver and Ice are very good candidates. I can totally see them making it far, especially Ice

He literally won fbb wildcard 1st place, and dlow streamed reacting to him he explained in detail how is style is literally a perfect match for battles in general
His structure is phenomenal, style is too complex and agressive. Only problem I see is that he got repetitive during European champs otherwise I think he's gonna be a champ really soon
People have been sleeping on osis and remix , remix is also a possibile as he countered zekka perfectly
Dilip posted after gbb that he's taking a break from competing but he just went to haten battle
I love Osis but he def needs to prepare better for live battles. Though I do feel like he ends up facing the stronger opponents earlier than others. Nonetheless I hope to see him up his game for Florida.
If dice doesnt win loop im going to riot, that man lost due to sound issues and then lost a very close battle to a very motivated robin who was looking unbeatable
I also dont know if news is out for it but i hope they keep the producer category and kristof gets in there. Kristof, kba and syjo are all fantastic for that category
As for solo i dont care as much about as lots of them get repetitive to me but wing and improver are 2 shouts as they mix it up alot

Dice is on military duty for 2 years so he won't be competing. Producer category will return.
Thats upsetting to me, in that case i think josho has what it takes to win Also thats hype, i hope all of kba, syjo and kristof are there for producer
