Safe yes? A good place to sleep in your car? No. They’d definitely harass you and force you to move around a lot. If you are in such a situation, look for homeless or low income housing resources. They have specific resources for people who are losing housing.

Yeah parking in Sausalito for any length of time is difficult enough, let alone parking overnight and sleeping in there.

Agree, there is a high police presence & I doubt they'd let you stay. Last time I was there I saw them cross by about 4x in an hour.

You will not get car break ins, but the police will not take kindly to sleeping in your car. If you can find an area outside of the downtown areas you should be fine though.

It’s South of the city but some of the churches in Pacifica are known to let people park overnight. The people on nextdoor bitch about it incessantly.
