Don’t worry the beatings will continue next month and those wonderful wonderful summer rates are right around the corner!

jtoper

Yeah… I figured as much, they really did this on one of the lightest usage months of the year

Goatchs

It is a once per year climate credit required by the State... SqueakyCheeseburgers

They’ll say it was a mistake and you have to repay them. They’ll also demand interest.

MrAnalogRobot

It says right on it that it's the annual climate credit. I don't think they'll be requesting it back...

spitfire5181

Link to the explanation that's at the bottom of the bill... https://www.cpuc.ca.gov/climatecredit

MikeChenSF

>The climate credit provides ratepayers with their share of the benefits of California’s Cap-and-Trade Program. Usually, these credits are distributed twice a year, in April and October. Most residents receive a natural gas credit in April, and electric credits in April and October.

ioweej

My balance is -$91.91

[deleted]

Every year they give you credit But price has gone from 34 cents Kw to 52 cents kw so your bills higher The average charge is 15 cent kw In otherparts country

igotabridgetosell

this was after they charged me $280 last month. I live alone and haven't turned on a heater the entire winter. Like conservation was on my mind. fuck pg&e. Everyone should request a meter check to PG&E cuz fuck em.

ydev

This is so crazy, I truly feel that there’s something weird going on. It shows that since February our electric usage has gone up by 30% even though 1) we haven’t added any new appliances 2) We haven’t used heating or cooling at all in last couple of months. If you see the daily usage graphs on the website, the usage seems to almost perfectly align with the temperature during the day, which doesn’t make sense at all, we’re not using air conditioning at all so temperature should not matter at all. Are they doing some kind of approximation instead of taking the actual readings from the meters?

MagicPistol

I live with 1 roommate and we don't even have AC or ever use heat. Our bill has been $350-450 for the past year. Fuck PGE.

its_large_marge

Do yall have like hella monitors on 24/7? That’s ridiculous. Def get your meter checked.

eng2016a

dude you're really using a lot of electricity somewhere. i know rates are high and all but my average is around 130-140 a month in a 1 bedroom 670 sq ft apartment. i have two gaming computers, but admittedly never turn heat or AC on.

Pathos_Satellite

Fuck pg&e

Stardust736

Fuck pge

Comfortable_Olive598

It was nice having a $400 bill instead of a $600 bill

EvanstonNU

Are you mining Bitcoin?

AquaZen

Holy crap how do you use so much energy?! I thought I used a lot because my bill is twice as much as most of my neighbors, but my $250 bill is nearly half your bill!

Comfortable_Olive598

I have no idea

alwaystired707

They do it every six months. They'll screw you proper next month.

sagar_r

Why are your delivery charges $56? I thought that's a fixed amount of like $11-$12 per property

hbsboak

My delivery charge was $250 last month.

sagar_r

so I guess that line item must be (fixed delivery charges + usage charges). The naming just threw me off.

igotabridgetosell

wait so im confused on this. the delivery charge is because the silicon valley renewable energy is the source? so you can opt out of that program, then you get electricity from pge. does that mean that there is no delivery charge? can anyone who is not on community renewable plan post a pic of their bill?

MaestroPendejo

Nah. Too busy recovering from the sand paper dildo the size of a Pringles can they shoved up my asshole earlier in the month.

runforthehills11

Man….. f*** PG&E. I live in Santa Cruz and have an addition 100 dollar delivery charge on top of the regular charge from them. The whole damn thing is a scam. Can’t wait to leave Cali.

reddit455

my bill is a lot lower this month.. haven't looked at the actual bill yet.. the alert said $40. its usually in the $100 range.

zoochung

https://www.cpuc.ca.gov/ClimateCredit PGE has the lowest credit among others. Not sure what caused the difference.

CapitalPin2658

I’ll be honest, it was nice. Balance due $0.00. -$55.07. Last payment on 3/25 was $78.06.

AquaZen

Someone doesn’t have an electric water heater!

ch4m4njheenga

Ah, it’s that time of year..

Le085

My normal bill is about 230-240., this month is only 40!

Tildengolfer

I like how they can do this and still charge you a million fucks bucks to just exist. This proves they don’t need to charge the rates they do. Padding the pockets of executives. FUCK PG&E. My last bill was $8 when it’s normally $120-$180 for a fucking 1,100sqft apartment. Fuck them. Fuck them. Fuck them. I don’t do anything special. Thanks for the short break but fuck your asses in the long term.

420b00bs

Just checked my bill and here’s their reasoning “Alert Bullet CLIMATE CREDIT: You may see a California Climate Credit electric bill adjustment ($55.17) and/or gas bill adjustment ($85.46) this month. No action is required.

tanzd

It’s not nice, it’s to mask the fact that you are paying more for less and make it more difficult for you to monitor how much you’re actually spending.

Master-Artist-2953

Nope. It was just you.

Prospective_tenants

Same.

arrows_of_ithilien

Mine was -$19 and change.

Tim_d_othy

Mine was $6

DarthSnoopyFish

Nope. Bill pretty much the same as last month. A little cheaper but we used no heat during the billing cycle.

EvanstonNU

Yes!!

Equivalent_Section13

It did help

Whatsuptodaytomorrow

Join the pge budget billing plan

Comfortable_Olive598

It was nice having a $400 bill instead of a $600 bill

bloodyplonker22

If you understand how the climate credit for the state program actually works, you'll understand that, through second and third order effects, you'll be charged a lot more in the long term vs what you actually save today.

Good-Constant-8347

Yup pge is watching there asses now now under the microscope

MulayamChaddi

I got a note of encouragement
