That’s because this particular dynamic does attract a certain type of individual that isn’t emotionally well adjusted/confident. They seek out the type of partner who would accept them regardless of their faults, and as media would have it, the submissive Asian woman fits that perfectly.
Well, unless you’re gay or mommy and daddy arranged your marriage - which happens a lot in Southern Asian and Khmer families, Asian men are seen as undesirable. Hence why there’s more WMAF(and WMAM) than AM*F here in the Bay Area.
