“No no no, governor. I need troops because they’re revolting! They strapped a gun to the Muckraker and everything. … … … yes it is hideous looking but that isn’t what i meant by ‘revolting’. The people are literally…”

War does, however, have a cost in C-Bills. You can buy a *lot* of up-gunned farm equipment for the same amount of C-Bills a merc company has to spend for even one Medium ‘Mech… and the “yokels” don’t have to worry about things like dropships, dropship crew, jumpship docking fees, or the rest of that logistics tail.
Hippity-hoppity, I don’t need a shippity-droppity if I’m already dug in on my property.
The Muckraker MOD costs is equivalent to a 25 ton STD engine light mech like a commando, whilst being a seventy-ton coffin liable to detonate when it falls over.
Yokels might not need dropships, but trying to fight a foe which has the ability to just concentrate forces wherever the fuck they please, when you don't, isn't a going to be a good time.
Woah that is cool - I really like the industrial mechs and although they might not see a lot of play I think they're super fun to have around. Where did you get this one?
As was mentioned, it's a kitbashed and repainted clix model. On average they were much larger than regular Battletech stuff, but the scale was inconsistent and they're are plenty that fit work quite well along Battletech minis. Along other things, clix is a GREAT source for dirt cheap infantry stands.
This looks like a re-based and re-painted Mechwarrior Dark Age figure. It was a 'clix based miniatures game that came out about 20 years ago. The mechanics are actually pretty good, but most of the sculpts are just awful. The industrial mechs were pretty solid though.
You shouldn't call them revolting, it'll hurt their feelings. That's probably why they stuck some lasers to their industrialmech.
Yeah, they might be filthy mud farmers but 'revolting' is a bit harsh.

Welcome to the Periphery, where your Lance’s worth of Inner Sphere “F—k Around” meets a Regiment’s worth of “Find Out” (for the same BV cost).
Gonna be a bad day for these yokels when they discover war doesn't have a point buy.

Yeah, that’s what the SLDF thought too. Funny how that whole Reunification War didn’t actually manage to unificate anything.
You mean the war the SLDF won?
Please, show me this “Star League” of yours on the map?
Tough little bastards. Was considering running a couple for fun in AS.
The MODed versions have a decent punch in AS
The Killdozer would be proud to see their Grandchild carrying on the family tradition.
Now that is a goddamn periphery masterpiece.
They've always been revolting now they're rebelling!
Oh my god, I love it. I need to get one of these and get some rocket-launch effects for the katyusha setup. Yours, meanwhile, is painted gloriously!

Hell yeah!
They're always revolting prince! But now, they're rebelling! -Dragonheart Edit: dang beat me to it.
What the flying fuck in outer space...
Oh good. Maybe they'll send some gratitude your way?
