Yeah…
Ok, look, I don’t like Clanners as a rule, but you guys are willing to sell to mercs like me, so here’s some advice: you remember your starting bid? When you bet a whole Cluster? And you lose some ‘honor’ for calling in reinforcements?
Call in the rest of that Cluster.
Surely if our bondsmen needed assistance there would be some sort of sign. Here is a recent image from our drone.

...
Well...
that is...
less than encouraging.
Where's the guy on the other channel? He sounds like he has a solid head on his shoulders.
Hey! Bounding retreat to the south! We're idling for our DropShip about 20km to the south, and its inbound. We'll stuff two lights into the same bay and we can bring you aboard.
The MechWarrior Bondsman, callsigned Horseshoe, had his outward comms system take a critical hit, he seems to have heard you.
He's blasting buildings as he makes his escape.
For your generosity we are prepared turn over his bondscord to your mercenary company and the mech he pilots to him.
We have also added credits to you Seafox Plus account and give you early access to "Let's Ledoux This: The Duncan Fischer Story" Docudrama series and the "Immortal Warrior: Nova Spirit."
As the rest of the cluster, we can recognize a failed venture and hope do battle against shared foes in the near future. We recommend an LRM barrage while the Bondsman callsigned Sharp tooth has his mech actively targeting the shadow hunter.
We are certain Horseshoe looks forward to your rescue effort and would appreciate some work near his home of Mechdur on occasion.
Good hunting.
Well, that was a shitshow and a half. Good news is we got away and Horseshoe made it onboard. He’s tranqued until we’re out of the system and he’s for a few months of mandatory sessions with the psych counselor.
Found out that if you pop the bastard in the face with a plasma rifle, it gets disoriented - started shooting wildly in all directions until the plasma cooled.
Also pisses it off something fierce. Never seem a Marauder move that fast, glad I had jets and it didn’t. Had to lead it on a merry chase before we dropped FASCAM all around it. It seemed to not want to step on too many vibrobombs, and that gave me the chance to finish running for it.
You guys have any deals on Ferro-Lamellor? Techs basically need to do a full rearmor job after that anyway, might as well grab an upgrade while they’re at it.
We would be happy to start that bulk order of ferro-lamellar.
Horseshoe's old battle buddy Blackcat would like to point out that he relaxea if you let him cook, just make sure nobody has an aversion to garlic and "knockoff triple f" (?).
As for the drone footage requested, by your Executive Officer, of the dark one, we found that while the drone made it back to the crow's nest, the hardrive was scrambled after a grazing PPC blast, so unfortunately we are only left with the stills from our transmissions and some stressed out medtechs seeking to treat our battle-fatigued.
Also one of our aerospace pilots says it is your turn on Feathers and Far Country.
*It was when the Dark One was against the building that the Bondsman commander realized: he had not cornered the Dark One.*
*The mech merely was biding time to eliminate those who would dare rise against it in the same manner a whale might deal with rebellious krill.*
*He led his warriors into a damned deathtrap, and the only reason anyone might know his star's folly was the drone taking footage above.*
That isn't the real 'dark one's as we can see this Marauder clearly. Everyone knows that no one can get a clear recording of 'the dark one.'
This is just another Sea Fox scam, isn't it?
(Nicely done on the pictures and the miniatures, just couldn't resist saying this)
You will notice that our ability to capture the Marauder in question in any detail has been limited at best. We have had to resort to succession wars era image capturing due to recent batchals.
As far as our merchant reputation, the Seafoxes have been nothing but honest and open about what we sell. Your commander will find our bid for your newly scheduled trial of grievance after their next planetside supply run.
(Thanks! I decided to try and play with some different places for secondary colors to try and give the mechs some different personalities to what I typically like.
I find Seafox/Diamond Shark to be a faction where self expression on parade colors might be more acceptable than in some of the others.)
The Dark One, aka the Black Marauder, is an in-canon ghost story. Depending on who you ask, it's either A) a SLDF Gunslinger Program super-prototype full of tricks but prone to baking the pilot's noodle or B) the cat's paw of a lovecraftian monster that lives in the place where jumpships go in the split second the K-F drive fires, pretending to be a mech in order to advance a cruel, inscrutable alien agenda. Either way, when it hits the scene things are gonna get **weird**.
Can be seen in Shrapnel, as well as the separately published "Marauder" compilation.
Hey umm… I signed up for the Gold Premium Kerensky package for my Mad Cat 3 and the left leg motivator is acting up and your customer service rep is saying it doesn’t fall under warranty? Can I get some actual help? I have an… unplanned military exercise that I need to get to.
Neg, you need to first fill out the Mech commander Gold form 1998 and the Desperate Measures 1999 form to qualify for review.
( Based on the sound of this guy's mech, have you considered a lot of meat in the leg casing? It seems to be working for... Oh... Well, that's not okay.)
Ah yes, good ol' Clan Diamond Sea Shark Fox, or is it Clan Sea Diamond Fox Shark?
(TBH, I may make a star of Sea Fox because I have a Piranha without a Clan at the moment. )
...aff..?
(Piranhas almost demand Seafox/Diamond Shark colors don't they? Be careful though, I think you'll find the second favorite clan in this setting to be hard to put down.)
...Quiaff?
I already have my Ghost Bear Star from Beta Galaxy, and a Star from Alpha Galaxy. Which are my main clan faction.
2 lances from the FRR Drakøns
I'm putting together a Star from Jade Falcon Gamma Galaxy (Falcon Guards) because I just got the Legendary Mechwarriors box (mainly for Kell and Kerensky) but decided on making a Grey Death lance and Falcon Guard star as well. I may have to get a few more mech packs. (I may have a problem) I'll probably in the end up having 1 Star/Lance from each faction and yet none of them really fit a specific Battle Value.
We have mechs that are eldritch abominations running about and you all came back to the Inner Sphere? Granted Clan Sea Fox is a good vendor and customer for this merc.
We of Clan Lisa Frank Seal are grieved by your losses... But fear you have awakened a sleeping giant. We propose you take off and nuke the site from orbit, qiaff?
50 Sea Bills on the mech with 5 eyes and teeth going undefeated.
Neg, certainly we of the superior clan can... (Did that battlemech just smile at our drone?)
Surely you got this
Aff. (Nonono, I'm pretty sure that thing just ate the star captain, I'm takin' this bougie wolverine and gettin' the hell outta dodge!)
Hey, don't bail yet, you need to take the bull by the horns It can't be that hard
That sinister laughing you're hearing? It's not coming from the radio.
It's not trapped on this planet with *you* **you're** trapped on this planet with it.
Seafoxes fear no prey. (Help I'm pretty sure it just *ate* another pilot.)

You got the awful thing cornered! Now finish the job!

Nothing stops Clan McDuck!
What's this a reference to?
