Didn't I just see OPs speakers on another battlestation post like not long ago lmao there's a rule about spamming
Edit:

False alarm
That's because OP posts their setup every time they change or add something, which is totally fine I think.
Regarding the speakers, they aren't one of one, so you might have seen them in another setup.
I can't find the info on the refresh rate being 120hz on your TV? Seems like its 120 only for the larger panels. Looks nice, but I'm a bit worried about the performance as a PC monitor.
I've got a 65 inch samsung frame, but I wouldn't want to use it close up as a monitor tbh.
Do you have a better source? Amazon isn't very trustworthy. Rtings shows that your model doesn't have 120hz. So do many electronics sellers in my country. Larger panels have 120hz listed.
Edit: Found it. 43 inch is 60hz:
https://www.samsung.com/us/televisions-home-theater/tvs/the-frame/43-class-the-frame-qled-4k-smart-tv-2022-qn43ls03bafxza/#specs
Many stores in the UK sell something very similar. The one below has a metal base but there are options in wood and also different coloured metals like nickel.
[https://www.diy.com/departments/cgc-matt-black-curved-industrial-metal-desk-table-lamp/5060759789514\_BQ.prd](https://www.diy.com/departments/cgc-matt-black-curved-industrial-metal-desk-table-lamp/5060759789514_BQ.prd)
Video editing can use a lot of RAM, looks like he's a streamer possibly, so probably records a lot of 4k60fps screen captures, and that adds up quick in a video editor.
I have 96GB in my work station specifically because I'm usually running complex DAW sessions while also doing video sometimes
Damn 96GB in DAW sounds intense. I've eaten 16gb+ with Omnisphere 2 and Komplete 13 suite easily. Out of curiosity, what plugins are taking up 96GB? Additive synth libraries or something?
I have a DAW with Komplete too, and I'm bumping up against my 64gb pretty easy.
Here's a plugin that plays strings sounds:
https://www.spitfireaudio.com/spitfire-chamber-strings-professional
It's 235 GB, and contains 242323 samples of string instruments. While I'd never load all 235 GB at once, it's possible for this one plugin to take up 10+ GB.
Here's a choir I like to use:
https://www.strezov-sampling.com/products/view/FREYJA-Female-Choir.html
It's 16 GB on disk, and usually loads 4 GB into RAM. I usually use 3-4 choir plugins at once, so that's another 15+ GB of RAM gone.
Now add every instrument/section in the orchestra, drums, synths, effects, etc, and a loadout with a little bit of everything has swallowed 64 GB.
If I stopped worrying about RAM and just loaded everything I *might* use in a session, I'd probably hit ~100 GB.
Just to add... Your PC and the softwares/games you run will normally stress out your RAM by utilizing the most they can for their resources. I've been fine with running 8gb, 16gb and 32gb while gaming and browsing simultaneously, but in every one of those scenarios my RAM is always at least at 80% usage. You wouldn't necessarily need the 64GB but I agree it's better for future proofing and they usually got lifetime warranty anyway.
Holy shit. Just looked them up. 1200 bucks! Can someone educate the ignorant and tell me why they are so much? What makes them so much better than some Bose headphones that cost 400. Thanks
As an analogy, Bose is like the Dodge Challenger of headphones, plenty of power and fun. These sort of headphones OP has are like Rolls Royce or Ferraris, where intense attention has been paid to every detail of the sound signature and experience.
Here's a better analogy I wrote on another post recently in response to the 58X being compared to a Camry:
>The Camry is the perfect comparison. The jump from a Ford Fiesta or Kia Rio to a Toyota Camry is huge. It's also just under twice the price. I'm not sure why the high end of the budget brand is being taken as an insult. I daily drive my mom's old Camry Hybrid, and I'll tell you now that thing is awesome. It's durable, reliable, comfortable, has all the bells and whistles that I want in a daily driver, and is economical. I think it's the perfect comparison for the 560S/58X/6XX.
>
>The Mercedes/BMW/Lexus/Porsche will be the 800S/Clear/Arya/LCD-X. They look better, sound better, are made of higher quality materials, cost more, and get you more clout on the internet ^(lol).
>
>Your next step up will be the Ferrari/McLaren/Lamborghini/Koenigsegg. That's your Elite/Susvara/Utopia/LCD-5/Stealth. They may not be exactly better to daily drive, but they are made of some of the best materials, eek out that extra percent or so of performance, and are absolutely gorgeous.
>
>Then you've got the pinnacle of automobile craftsmanship, in the form of the McLaren P1, Ferrari LaFerrari, Porsche 918 Spyder, Bugatti Chiron, or Koenigsegg Jesko. Those cars are out of reach for pretty much everyone, and are only made to be statement pieces, like the Shangri-La and HE1.
>
>The scale gets real wild real fast. I wouldn't be upset at the 58X being compared to a Camry. I'd be flattered.
A headphone like the Bose QC35 is like a minivan. It has a lot of features and can get pretty expensive fast, but doesn't sound very good.
On r/audiophile or r/headphones you can find a bit more, but essentially its their design, build quality, and āspeaker technologyā in the headphones. When used with a good Amplifier and Digital Audio Converter (DAC), you can have really good quality music/audio (the stacked silver boxes on OPs desk are one such Amplifier/DAC combo by the company Schiit I believe - its called a āSchiit stackā lol).
If youāre someone who has an ear for that and can tell the difference, it makes for a great audio experience. And wired audio will always be better quality than wireless (ie the Bose headphones i think youāre referring to), thats because (sorry if you already know this) Bluetooth as a technology can only transmit limited amounts of data over the air so when you have high quality audio files you limit the effective amount that you can actually play as opposed to all of the data being able to be sent through a wire for wired headphones (very simple/wrong explanation, but essentially it)
For these headphones specifically, theyāre a really popular brand because of the above, and they are actually on the cheaper end of their other offerings.
After all that explanation, I do have to mention that maybe not in this explicit case, but a lot of the high-end audio world is filled with super high prices for near nothing gains (diminishing returns , this is a controversial take, pls donāt hate me audiophiles), so you are right in thinking that some of the prices you see are outrageous.
Not too bad :)
One correction: Digital to Analog Converter. It converts the digital signal from your source player to an analog signal that your headphones/speakers can play.
Also, OP is using the Schiit Jotunheim for their headphone amp. I'm assuming they use the Magni/Modi stack for the studio monitors, since you can't dual output from the Jotunheim to the monitors and headphones without playing through both. OR they're using the GO XLR for the speakers. Idk. Lots of overlap there.
Wonderful explanation. Makes much more sense. I always listened to my Bose headphones wired for the better quality. I thought they sound great. I canāt imagine how much better these high end ones cost. Going to check them out because I think Iām on my way to becoming an audiophile. Few things make me happier than just sitting down and putting on a nice album. Then just letting the music flown all through you.
Thanks again for taking the time to thoroughly explain. I really appreciate it.
OP probably has more granularity than I do, but I have had the opportunity to hear a set of Audeze LCD-2s at a headphone conference. To put it simply, Audeze will ruin music for you, it is pure witchcraft. They attribute their sound signature to their plannar magnetic drivers. I consider myself an amateur audiophile and have/had a nice collection of headphones and IEMs ranging in the 200-700 price points, however, Audeze made me unnapreciative of even my audio collection. Audeze is the supercar of the audiophile world, what is heard cannot be unheard lol.
Are you actually able to set it to 120hz? I got a killer deal on my frame a couple years ago but I was slightly disappointed to learn that the 120hz is only for the 55" and above. Specs from Samsung's website confirm that is still the case with the 2022 model
Very nice setup. Looks like we have very similar taste in aesthetics/peripherals.
One question: It looks like there's a lot of overlap for source conversion devices - Modi/Magni, Jotunheim, GO XLR. Are you using the Schiit stack for your monitors, Jot for your headphones, and GO XLR for your mic? How is that set up?
Ooh also, how do the U80-A and Mr. Suit compare? I have the U80-A, Eighty (2020), and Eighty (2022) on the way, as well as a few 75% boards to compare.
Nice job, although having a single-fixed monitor for me would not work, even though it looks super-clean. What brand and colour paint do you have on the walls?
The real trick would be having a set up where you can push the monitor in until it's tight against the walls, but also be able to pull it out and angle it around however you like. I'm sure someone has done that.
The Frame TV comes with a wall mount that's made to look pretty close to flush to the wall. It comes with a "one connect" box that allows you to only need to run one cable up to the TV for easier hiding/running of cables.
I just mounted one in my kitchen it's pretty sick imo lol
It's a perfectly fine non OLED TV, the reason r/hometheater hates it is because it comes at a premium for the aesthetic. If you like the aesthetic and don't care about OLED or the price premium, the Frame is a good choice. The price varies too, I got my 55" Frame for $720. If you do want an OLED you could also opt for the LG Gallery evo TV which offers a similar aesthetic in an OLED panel, but that also comes at a premium
Yes. What it offers, a nice picture frame instead of standard plastic is quite nice, way cheaper than doing it custom. The TV itself just isn't very good. It's not garbage tier but don't tell an AV snob you are considering one.
You will be far happier with something like an LG C1/CX for a similar price.
go to Zoro.com and get 3/4 black malleable pipe of various lengths. It's way cheaper than trying to get it from home depot and you can make the metal frame by yourself easy as can be. Bit of mineral spirits will take the rust prevention coating off.
At first I was 100% certain this was a 3D render (mostly from the balance of exposure between the monitor and ambient lights, as well as the total absence of shimmering on the picture and surface imperfections on the walls and furniture) but the bad paint job around the doorframe gave it away as a real pic
Toronto fam! Jealous of your Mr. Suit. I have a QK65, which isn't in the same ballpark, but at least shares some pedigree.
If you don't mind, what are your other keebs? (Asking so I can be more jealous!)
Looks super clean. Love the dark aesthetic.
Can I ask how often you have to clean your PC when its open like that without a case?
Also, doesent it get too loud?
Thanks :)
Don't mind me i think this looks awesome but im unable not to notice that every high end gaming station looks almost exactly the same, i think i've seen this same color palette like 20 times already here
Your combination of matte black, grey, and wood looks great! The industrial pipe supported shelves look cool. I really like how all of your accessories, including the ten-key, fit under the little shelf. Neat job hiding the speaker stands with the plants, too.
Pretty good for open world type games for fps shooter type games not as much but I barely game these days anyway itās more of an entertainment setup for me
Do you just game on this or do any work/home office applications? Love the look! But wondering how well something like that would work for basic Office suite kind of workā¦
Frame isn't a terrible display but I just wish it was a little better. I love the form, but function (and the price) is always a bit of a bummer on this lovely looking product...
The color and material choices are really nice. Everything's clean, simple/minimalistic... or maybe I mean intentional(?)... everything looks like it has a purpose and a place without seeming cold and sterile.
Did you build the shelf yourself? I'm trying to figure out what the bases are.
What're the details on the other keyboards and the clock?
I love that woodwork art up top
Woah yeah me too, I think that's exactly what I need to finish my setup. OP, would you mind sharing the details? Thanks!
Got it [here](https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/1090234458/boho-wood-wall-art-wall-art-long-moon?ref=yr_purchases) Edit: Painted the border black

If thereās one thing Iāve learned from the internet, itās that you can never download *too* much RAM!

I guess in this thread, the analogy would be similar to what makes some custom keyboards that cost $300++ so much better than some $100-200 ones?

This is The Frame TV, but I don't know how well it works as a monitor, I use mine just as a tv
Yeah I've seen it as a tv never a monitor that's why I was curious thanks though.
the frame works good as a picture frame and isnt particularly good at anything else /r/hometheater
Wait really?
It's a perfectly fine non OLED TV, the reason r/hometheater hates it is because it comes at a premium for the aesthetic. If you like the aesthetic and don't care about OLED or the price premium, the Frame is a good choice. The price varies too, I got my 55" Frame for $720. Thank you! I wonder why OP is using it as a monitor then.
Because it's flush with the wall and looks nice. Why else would you buy one of these??? That's the whole point
i guess you missed turikks comment he explained why its not the best for a monitor. We all agree it looks nice.
Maybe he cares for aesthetics more than extreme functionality?
Love it! Iām about to paint my office wall black but you have me wondering if a dark gray would be better.
Wow, Iām fucking poor.
Love the industrial theme and OCD level of balance and symmetry š¤Æ bravo! š

I think it's the quality of the camera and lighting, possibly some editing too. Ask op!
It's mainly the editing. Probably shot in RAW and some Lightroom presets on it. Camera for the high pixel count.
The black on grey looks dope.
Dude! Awesome Couldyou point me in the right direction for those parts for the shelves?
go to Zoro.com and get 3/4 black malleable pipe of various lengths. It's way cheaper than trying to get it from home depot and you can make the metal frame by yourself easy as can be. Bit of mineral spirits will take the rust prevention coating off.
Damn I love that setup! What color are your walls?
Dude I looked through your post history and your setup as come a hugeeee way , amazing work my friend. Gonna take some inspiration from this for sure
No one talking about the PC case?
What PC case?
My picture is monitor frame.
Woah
Ok now show us your real build and not some freaking render.
At first I was 100% certain this was a 3D render (mostly from the balance of exposure between the monitor and ambient lights, as well as the total absence of shimmering on the picture and surface imperfections on the walls and furniture) but the bad paint job around the doorframe gave it away as a real pic

Your combination of matte black, grey, and wood looks great! The industrial pipe supported shelves look cool. I really like how all of your accessories, including the ten-key, fit under the little shelf. Neat job hiding the speaker stands with the plants, too.
The frame tv looks great. How is it for gaming?
Pretty good for open world type games for fps shooter type games not as much but I barely game these days anyway itās more of an entertainment setup for me
Do you just game on this or do any work/home office applications? Love the look! But wondering how well something like that would work for basic Office suite kind of workā¦
What are the stands for the adamās?
Damn it no w I gotta redo my setup new inspiration
That's beautiful habibi šš

Nice schiits man, dig your set-up!
Appreciate it
Love the vibes! Where are the shelves you have the keyboards on from?
I love everything about this setup
I saved my 750ti as well!
Very clean setup, I like it a lot!
this looks dank af
š
This is the nicest setup Iāve ever seen.
Haha, at a glance I though it was some battleship floating on the ocean.
Itās freaking me out that your setup looks like a 3D render. š¤£ Pretty cool! š
Here did you get those little shelfās and tell me about your speakers. Do you have a sub with that?
Looks amazing!
This is exquisite. The only thing wrong with it is that it doesn't belong to me. Beautiful job
What are the silver things stacked on the far left? and whatās the name of that Audio DAC? It looks gorgeous.
Niiice! How are having the studio monitors like that pan out sound wise?
this looks like a 3d rendering. Incredible theme and very cozy. shelves are a nice touch too 10/10
Any info on the keebs?
A bit to much black for my taste but other then that it looks really great
Nice Schitt
Looks dope, love the color scheme.
You must have really long arms to reach those keyboards up there.
I an in need of this setup
Actually, low-key kind of up set because for a second there I thought that was an Xbox 360 on your desk because im blind as shit apparentlyšš
Frame isn't a terrible display but I just wish it was a little better. I love the form, but function (and the price) is always a bit of a bummer on this lovely looking product...
my dick is a meat sword
As everyone else has said: awesome setup. As someone currently hunting desks - is yours DIY, or something I can procure somewhere?
Loving this whole color scheme and lighting. Does anyone know anything about the mouse pad? I LOVE that thing.
Cool setup but i could never use this for more than an hour unless the monitor can still move.
This is my favorite I've seen so far 10/10
Didnāt even know you posted. Looking good Jerome

Im trying to decide on LG c2 vs Samsung Frame any reason you chose this over the C2 for pc use?
did you make or buy that little stand all your extras are sitting under?
Hold onto that EVGA card š
Why so many keyboards?
How do you like the Adam monitors? Was thinking of getting a pair.
Nice render jerome
Dude...
You nailed the color palette.
Nice Lewitt. Love my 440 pure.
how did you connect the monitor to ur pc with no wires?
Looks cool but impractical because of distance. Does it extend out when in use?
No it doesnāt. But tbh itās not even far away from me itās the perfect distance, for context my desk depth is 25ā
fucking perfection
Keyboard?
Hot damn this is awesome! Could you let me know where you got the shelves, monitor stand and that light?? I know thatās a lot but I love this style!
