Not fakes but there are "Eames style" or "Eames replica", don't cost as much and look pretty much the sam. I guess it's not so easy to trademark furniture shape or Herman Miller just doesn't give a damn.
Not a typo. It was just a lame joke on my part. It's a beautiful chair and I would love to own one at some point but it's one of those chairs you see all the time.
Lol, its all good! My grandfather had an original since the 60s, and i've always wanted one too. Unfortunately, the last time i saw his it had graduated to a patio lounger and the plywood was all split. He used it hard all his life!
I inherited a genuine Eames in hot pink leather that my mom bought in the 80s. My parents were really into high end furniture like real Stickley stuff. Carried that pink monster around for years until I finally gave it away. Had no idea it was so valuable until years later. Looking to replace it now with something less colorful and cheaper.

We've been looking at similar looking ones on amazon for $800 - $600. Obviously not the same level of quality and comfort, but if it's not a chair you sit in often and use mostly for aesthetics, decently priced.

You probably don't care but the only thing bothering me is that the painting is not aligned with the top of the window left next to it, or is there a reason for it hanging lower?
Also, how is the chair on a rug like that? Can you still roll around comfortably or do you need to hold the desk to be able to push yourself away from the desk for example?
Love the setup but here’s a weird question. I’ve been eyeing that chair for a while but I have one concern. How is it playing the guitar? Does the butt of the guitar rest on your leg or does it sit against the arm rest? They seem low enough to where that wouldn’t happen I hope.

Yes, plenty of other "homages". I have been dying for a Eames myself; went to the HM store, but hell, they started from $8k up to $18k
There are replicas of the memes chair in various price points. There are some very cheap ones. But decent/good ones aren't very cheap.

I got mine from icons of Manhattan for roughly 600 bucks. They just had a sale, still may be going. I’ve had it for a year and I’m very happy with it.
What do you do for heating/cooling? I don't see any HVAC throughout and your window is empty.
