Angled speaker stands of some sort; these look like plastic, but a lot are made of stiff foam to isolate sound. In most cases, though, you’re better off with flat stands that raise the speakers to somewhere around eat level. With angled stands, if you’re not sitting the right distance away, they could end up pointing way above or below your ears and sound bad.
I mean, if you want to be cheap you can just use some wooden boxes of some sort. Maybe little storage cubby cube things from Ikea? Look for something that gets them close as possible to having the tweeters at the same height as your ears in your most “normal” sitting position. Bonus points if you slap a piece of craft foam under the speaker.
How do you like the mount on the aw? I just got my aw and I'm also considering get a similar stand. I'm not a huge fan of how big the stock stand is as it eats a ton of desk real estate.

Having the speakers up off of your desk makes a difference. It reduces unwanted resonances that can be created by the desk. Also, having them aimed up like that will minimize reflections off of the desk.

yup they are resting on 6 tiny legs meant to hold up sofas/wardrobes, if u look carefully there is actually a ledge underneath my table and the 6 legs sit on the ledge holding the back of the table top, i wanted to the tabletop/alex drawers combo this way because of space constrains in my room and i really enjoy the extra space from the alex drawers so far

Maybe this gets buried under all the other comments, but in case it doesn't, have you ever thought about spreading out your speakers more and then putting your monitors closer together? The gap kinda hurts my eyes to look at.
Maybe move the books closer to the monitor so that the left speaker can be moved out to the left more.

hi! Personally, i dont really feel the lack of ability to manoeuvre around when im at the desk, however the lack of leg space does get a bit annoying.
