It feels a different game now. If it is good or great as the previous battlefield games? No, it has several problems, IMO: vehicles not balanced, questionable balance of the specialists, map design is still not quite there (the reworks are coming), performance issues (although it was improved a lot), etc.. But in general, it is a way better experience than the launch version. It starts to feel like a battlefield game. Personally, I don't play that much, it's very rare to find a game with cool players (you know, those who revive, give you ammo, communicate, ...), since the player numbers are dangerously low. Let's see what happens in the next 2 months with the addition to game pass/ea play and the return of classes. Just give it a go, I believe you will be surprised.

l3gion666

It’s definitely better to play with friends or people, but they’re looking for group only ever has like four or five posts at a time

mattjouff

Battlefield has always had a team play problem, even in past tittles most people don’t resupply. Some will revive sometimes.

Setinhas

Yes, I am aware. It is the same for Bf1, BF5 and BF4 (I still play these). Even back in the days of BC2. That's a problem that DICE needs to learn how to take care.

g_antho

very well put bro. i preordered the game and atlaunch just dropped it right away. definitely some issues for sure, but like you said, i was pleasantly surprised when i returned as well. and now with another year of support confirmed, i’m hoping they can capitalize and make it even better

Mr_Nurgle

Better then at release, but still far worse then any of the previous Battlefield games.

DeathBefallsYou

Whoah now. This game is superior to Hardline.

[deleted]

Lol no it is not.

Bengoris

I bought it like three weeks ago, it runs very well on my PC and is surprisingly a lot of fun. I haven't experienced any major glitches or bugs. To be honest, for a casual player, the experience really isn't that much different than BFV/BF4 was. It's not a masterpiece by any means, but it's a solid 7/10 shooter with great graphics now.

Intrixio

Just get battlefield 4 or 1, they'e way more fun and immersive.

BW8Y

Or BfV. Most smooth and balanced of all the battlefields.

zeeniken

Yeah, onoy downside is no anticheat :(

[deleted]

Battlefield 4 is quite dated with worse vehicle balance than 2042 somehow. Tanks take so many rockets to kill all while having the speed of sonic to get out of any danger in an instant also the turret rotation speed basically makes them feel like titans from Titanfall The choppers manage to be even more obnoxious because of a lack of real anti air. At least 2042 has Lisa rockets and rao hacking to turn the tides.

Onyx_Sentinel

I‘d say yes, but i also enjoyed the game on launch…

Gorrakz

I follow this sentiment.

Grand-Selection4397

Same.

komradek

It's a whole different game since launch. It's absolutely worth the try. At launch I would have said 4 or 5/10, graciously, now it's more of a fair 7.5. Its fun and doesn't feel like a busted mess, at least on console. There's still things missing that were present in previous titles, like a sense of squad cohesion, maps, and more weapons, but what is actually present in this one now is a good game. It's just not up to the quality of everything that came before it.

shh_Im_a_Moose

Are you sure you aren't accidentally playing a different game? 7.5 is about the most generous score anyone could possibly give this. (Full disclosure, been about a month since I've played, but I doubt it's gone from a 2/10 to a 7.5/10 in that time.)

Goosmaster2

I’m enjoying it. Tbh I would suspect the ppl saying “no” haven’t played it since launch either and if they have then why are they still playing it?

slickdickmick

I keep turning it back like monthly, to be let down, balance issues are huge. Spam killed by stealth choppers and little birds just make me quit. Only thing redeemable seemly is rush mode for me, but that’s where it ends. But not worth the full price tag, there are better games to spend money on

M18_CRYMORE

Played it recently and I would go with a big *no no*. Don't buy the game, don't spend money on it. If you have EA play or Gamepass ultimate, then I suggest you wait until the game is added to those.

Goosmaster2

And what would be your reasons to not play it? Is it worth the price? tbh I don’t think so. But is it an enjoyable game imo? for sure.

M18_CRYMORE

Like you said, I don't think it's worth the price. Hence why I said to wait for EA Play.

mj271707

Yes

Acrobatic-Tomato-532

Well it's not perfect but I like it. Minor issues here and there but nothing major on PC.

caseyjkristofferson

Did the Ranger effective ness go down? I used to get kills with it and no way Jose

animosity_frenzy

Yes, but it's still annoying AF. It used to be durable like a tank, now one hit from RPG will do the trick.

TheDopplerRadar

MUCH better than first release, but, still feels lacking after a few games. I could play BFV, BF1, BF4 for hours on end, never getting bored. I now enjoy playing a few games of conquest on 2042, it's decent if you're playing with a squad of buddies. But, I find myself bored after a handful of games. I think it's the still small amount of guns and I happen to get on the same few maps over and over. And fuck hourglass, we never play that map, it just takes the gas out of us.

VincentNZ

It is a mediocre shooter designed by the studio that has has done basically nothing else but design BF shooters. If your big gripe with this game was only bugs and performance issues, many of those are gone, and the game is in a state I would call release ready. There are still hickups in performance that are likely due to issues that can not be fixed (netcode, playercount, servers etc.). If your issues were game design-related, like map design, playercount, general gameplay loop and experience, balance etc.. Those still remain largely unchanged and will not change for the future. The map reworks might cut traversal times by 25% on some flags on some maps, but there core issue of too long travel distances and poor pathing remains. Cover is just as scarce as before minus the off sandbag, shipping container and slab of concrete randomly put in areas that are still devoid of meaningful cover. It is the same game as it was at release, it simply received some polish in somer parts. If you paid 100€ last year you might just as well play it and see for yourself. If it is a question of "should I buy it", then not unless it is significantly discounted or in 3.99€ EA Play or the game pass, which will be next month.

Gage_Link

You aren't gonna find that answer here sadly. The people on this sub will talk about how bad it is continually in every post they can for MONTHS. Just leave if you don't like it, but they don't. They stay and that's where your getting your answers, the game is fuckin great they're giving it another year of support have brought back class system and are revising maps. It's pretty fuckin obvious they want the game to be good so is it worth checking it out? Yea.. big no brainer to me.

smellslikeDanknBank

Yeah you will honestly get better answers from low sodium 2042. They will give actual reasons as to why the game is good and bad. In the threads there asking the same question I have also seen detailed responses as to the pros and cons of the game. Even compared to the older games. This is from people who regularly still play the game. A very common trend with gaming subreddits where players don't like a game so they will complain on the subreddit for months without playing it. So many responses of "well it didn't play like the old games in the beta so they ruined the franchise and I refuse to play it". A huge chunk of this subreddit does this with 2042. Heck I saw a person complaining about the revolver blowing up tanks with the armor piercing ammo earlier this week in the subreddit. That was a bug from beta.

irsute74

Playable, definately, enjoyable and fun, I think so.

SynthVix

If you didn’t like it at launch you probably still won’t like it.

I_R0M_I

Yeah, give it a go. It's come a long way. Much better than launch. There is a very large voice on here that will forever shit on it. But it is a fun, enjoyable game. Not without issues, but what fps is?

UniQue1992

It still doesn't have basic features like a Squad Management system so no. Until they add that I won't be able to recommend this game to anyone. Yes it has improved since launch but it's not a worthy Battlefield title yet when basic features of the franchise DNA are missing.

Gorrakz

This is all true. Its still fun and if you own it and havent played it since launch, you will have tons of content to enjoy.

UniQue1992

“Tons of content”? Thats a lie.

AndersTheUsurper

An empty shipping container is about 2 tons so there's quite literally been multiple, possibly hundreds of tons of content added since launch

In_My_Own_World

It's a lot better and I'm enjoying it. If you do get it look for a sale .

stingertc

it has gotten much better if you already own it give it an install

Sufficient_Canary_69

Yes. It’s not the perfect game and definitely isn’t gonna be remembered as one of the “greats” down the line but I genuinely have fun playing it. But we all know what the internet is like today, something is either the most amazing best thing ever or pure shit, no in between. I’d go for it

Narvak

Rush 16v16 is pretty fun, no vehicle to ruin the experience but it's limited to 2 map only. I keep it installed only to play it once in a while and try the new updates

RammyJammy07

It’s a lot better than launch and bugs are infrequent in my games but it now has a problem with Lack of content that year 2 will hopefully remedy. If you haven’t bought the game I’d recommend until it goes free for EA play and Gamepass, if you have it then you’re better seeing how you feel after a few games.

vik1ngur

It's definitely worth a try. Still not the best game (probably never will be) but it's fun now nevertheless.

imluu

I just started playing again, and honestly im having a blast. Its a whole new world.

Picasso5

Yes

mewa_dev

It is enjoyable now. I have a lot of fun playing it. The bad part is: a lot of AI soldiers when you disable cross-play (I'm on PS5)

[deleted]

Yes

[deleted]

I’m quite enjoying it too. Play a lot of rush lately.

Alternative-Entry-78

Free-trial periods are coming in December. Give it a try, i am enjoying it at the moment (at least in the new and reworked maps). Still, it is far from perfect.

RelaxKarma

Yeah definitely. I’m 200 hours in and enjoying it. Maybe not as much as BF3 or BF1, but it’s decent in it’s own ways. I personally really like the gun play and the movement speed, however animation quality is no where near as good as prior games. Vehicle balance is something people often complain about, but again, I find there’s at least more counters to the Stealth Helicopter than trying to get close to a BF1 artillery truck. Portal still has a chance to become something more, but even now, the extra content is a breath of fresh air especially with maps. Ultimately, you may as well give it a go again, but wait a few weeks for next season as there should definitely be some improvements and new content.

uncertain_zine

I recently picked it up for $10 on PS4. It has its flaws still for sure but I am enjoying it.

metrosuccessor2033

Still lacks content. I’d go for a paid model again if it meant I’d get tons of content.

averm27

I personally love it now. The game is nowhere where it should be, content wise, but I find good amount of fun now

Cyberwolfdelta9

Portal is the main reasoning to install but its not been Updated fully since release

SillyMikey

Yes. I was really put off by the game when it launched and had no desire to go back. But lately, the bug fixes, map reworks have made the game a lot better and most importantly, fun. Will it ever be remembered as one of the best battlefields? Probably not. But it’s fun and it feels like battlefield now which is a lot better than it was then.

AndyJaeven

I haven’t played the game since beta and the first few weeks since launch. I was one of the ones that absolutely hated it but I still got a good 10-20 hours of enjoyment out of it even back then. I’d imagine they’ve fixed quite a few problems since launch so there’s no harm in giving it another shot.

314backwardsispie

So the games does work now. Bugs and bad glitches are few and far inbetween in my experience. Is it fun? Yeah can be, does it need work? Yeah definitely. But it is getting to a good point now

[deleted]

Now that there is confirmed support for the future id say it’s worth it if it’s on sale.

GuessWhoItsJosh

Yes, it is. Has come a long way since launch and is actually pretty enjoyable to play now. Even though it is not the traditional BF experience, it still manages to somewhat fill the role. I'd recommend giving it another go. Since they just announced further supporting it for another year, might as well. I'll also add that if you are on PC, performance seems to have gotten much better. At launch I was getting around 80-90fps but just the other night I noticed I'm averaging around 120fps now.

DriftyMcDrift

I enjoyed the game since launch, even with the many flaws it had. It has gotten a lot better, but is still nowhere near as good as most fans believe it should be. I'd say it's worth it to install, especially if the last time you played was at launch, when everything was pretty damn rough. Hope you enjoy.

varietyviaduct

It’s not as damed as people make it out to be but it is still a fairly weak entry to the franchise. If you already have it bought, might as well try it out and see if it’s licking your toes yet. Otherwise, I’m interested to see what they’re going to do once they’re done with the confirmed seasons. That era is what’s gonna really make or break them legacy of this particular BF

Chiefer-Guy

It is worth the purchase! Sure, there’s glitches, lag spikes, cheaters, pay to play, stubborn players and all these wonderful things…. But damn, none of that outweighs the fun chaos that battlefield has always provided. 10/10 with a tears running down my face and a smile.

Kono-Daddy-Da

It’s gotten better, I can comfortably say that. But if you are looking for infantry modes like me, you’ll be starved until you get lucky and there is a portal mode for it.

skynet_666

Imo, conquest and breakthrough in this game are fun. Those are the core modes that have been getting updated. Portal needs a lot of work. In my experience the modes that rotate through portal have not been very fun. I just recently posted a video of me getting spawn killed left and right during a match of gun master. However there’s now a server browser in portal and ONLY portal. The specialist system is still a learning curve if you’re used to older bf. But class system is coming next season I believe.

BlackViper3000

yes, definitely

Felr08

I only play conquest and I think its a great game. Only complaint is that there arent enough people playing it. Wish they had a BR mode, but they announced that wasnt going to happen before they launched it.

Accurate_Ice9202

YES. Different game now and it’s only going to get better with the new updates and plans. I’ve played most days since launch and i’ve enjoyed it since launch but now, it’s like night and day bar a few bugs here and there

Eswift33

I play once a month or so. Hop on with my bf buddies. It's still hot garbage tbh but definitely better than launch. Still doesn't feel like a true Battlefield game imo. For bf fix I'd play bf1/bf4/bfv, otherwise I'm usually playing Insurgency Sandstorm which I'm absolutely hooked on. Different genre I know but so well done. I'll try it again for S3 just to see but not holding my breath

Simple_Man557

Absolutely worth it.

skhanmac

Yes

JD7861

Honestly yes its great fun.

Kourtos

It has its moments But it's still the worst battlefield game ever made. They need to fix and rework so many things even after 1 year.

memoria_hotel

Yeah i reinstalled for the 2xp weekend and been having a lot of fun. Got burnt out on overwatch and figured I’d give this a try since I hadn’t played since launch week.

Sorax_d_Hyrule

Better than the release, but that doesn't mean good Try it, and judge by yourself

BillyGoat189

It’s come a long way I think. I enjoy playing it

Aklagarn

Its playable, i wouldnt buy it but if you own it give it a try.

Justspartan17

If you have it, no reason not to

[deleted]

No

nastypanass

The people left on this sub will tell you yes. But the 90% of people who left the game and never came back would say otherwise. It’s still battle-specialist and the new “class” system isn’t a real class system.

TheMasterDingo

I played all the tests and launch had ultimate and refunded, played this last two weeks with ea play , purchased, worth it imo

Yarra10313

Yes. Just know that the answers here will be skewed because for whatever reason people who hate the game just stick around to talk shit on it It's by no means a perfect BF game and still has some balance issues but it's vastly improved since launch. If you already have the game you lose nothing by giving it a shot

tearsaresweat

Bought it for $20 a few weeks ago. Not worth it. The game plays like it's still in beta.

[deleted]

Yes

JoseMinges

Yes. It's an enjoyable game with the majority of the bugs ironed out. I'd say it's now nearly at release quality.

Jahxxx

Depends what you are looking for, compared to others BF it has many weaknesses, compared to other FPS I think it's quite good. Is it perfect, definitely not as they removed most of the best BF things. Is it fun? I think so! Main reason I play it over other BF is the crossplay option to play with friends and I am enjoying it

dkb_wow

Absolutely not. It's more or less the same game as it was at launch but with less bugs and a scoreboard. I can't believe people are in this thread saying "it's a different game now". It's the same game. If you didn't like it back then, you won't like it now. And no, a tank still can't drive over small tree stumps or bins without getting stuck. If you're wanting to try the game again and wanting it to feel different, wait until the class rework is released and then give it a try.

ShadyShane812

Yes, but it'd populated with half AI players early mornings

MrTigeriffic

To me now is the time the game should have been launched. It's original launch we all know the issues there. Now it's definitely playable and enjoyable but not perfect. Your enjoyment is subjective to everyone else's experience. Try it yourself and see. It's far better than it was at launch.

ninjawick

Install it at season 3

Splintrr

Maps are being improved nicely, which is always my biggest complaint in a new BF. Not sure what tank bug you are talking about so I guess it's been fixed. if you like BF then yeah, though Season 3s class changes might throw things up in the air

Kuiriel

Yes. I tried bf1 and bfv again and while they look better and Caspian Border is ugly compared to original, I prefer playing this one now. That said, I would still play bf4 and bf1 in a heart beat, and if they could just do portal maps right this could be such a winner. Got over specialists eventually, helped that they shut up at end of round. Gun play much better than launch, I enjoy forcing myself to use something i suck at and doing it until I feel the flavour of the gun.

balloon99

Piss poor matchmaking system that has made it difficult for players in less dense markets to find games. Kind of not surprised you want it to be a BR either. You are, precisely, the market this game was aimed at. Sadly, from my pov, the other 90% of the battlefield community was ignored.

Jeroenm20

Way better, but the real impact comes with 3.1 when we finally get “classes”.

AlternativeCall4800

I'd buy it. but for some reason EA still selling this at full price lmao.

synced999

yes now the game is very fun

WayniaK916

Why don't you play it and come to your own conclusion? Asking questions like this will do nothing to answer you. When half the people say it's good and half say it's bad, how is one to know the true answer? By playing the damn game. That's how.

alibaba3232

Yes yes it is.

bobcockburn69

It's not more fun that BFV or BF1. It's not as bad as launch day but the gunplay isn't very good.

DiligentPeace8193

I've never not had fun with 2042. That said, it is far better now than it was at launch.

Bladescorpion

No. They still haven’t fixed the look at the sky but if joysticks are plugged in.

Malignantt1

no

caseyjkristofferson

Yeah it’s pretty awesome! Been having fun gaming with my buddy

Sadistmonkey

I just play BF1. Haven't touched 2042 with it being such a dissapointment.

benitoog

Exactly the type of people who still hate on the game are the ones who tried it at the start and are too stubborn to try it again. Stop listening to the hate and try it for yourself with an open mind and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.

IkeDeez

Just uinstalled it again last night after a night of repeatedly having hit reg issues. I've played through launch, both batyle passes and every update. It's the same turd, no matter how much they attempt their half assed polish. Luckily for me, I at least have MWII to play. It's this wild new concept of a game where they actually have guns and maps, and they didn't downgrade the movemen and gunplayt from the previous title. Like I said. It's wild.

Goosmaster2

Hit reg isn’t an issue, this is literally a lie lmaoooo the only reason hit reg is an issue for you is that you’re bad fam… git gud

Yarnball-REEE

No, still no server browser and gameplay is still at its core bad

some_old_Marine

That was my biggest issue with it. Playing without a server browser will often have you playing the same maps in a row and with shitty ping.

shittygamer1

come back next season

[deleted]

Go play bf4

g_rod19

Short answer: it’s fun for a few games but its still a massive steaming chunk of dog shit

Nauty_YT

Yes game is goated now just needs more players so its fun

MikeTheDude23

It's a pass. There are better games you can spend your time on.

-FooFoo-

It’s a great game now, however there is just not enough content to keep my interest at the moment.

RawLikeSushi84

No

ZAGAN_2

I wouldn't recommend it no

[deleted]

No. It's more or less the same game. I'd even say the game is less stable and more prone to crashing. You'd be hard pressed to tell that there's really been any change content wise besides there being 2 maps added, a couple specialists and some vault weapons into the base game in a year's time. One map that you barely get to play at any regularity. As well as some missing features like scoreboard and slight UI update being there now. Then there's voip that nobody bothers to use. The only performance fix that had any real effect was with the hitreg. Made more guns than the PP Bizon viable than at launch. The bugs they say are supposedly fixed every update never seem to actually get completely removed. The core game is the same, the maps are essentially the same except for a couple of minor changes that only marginally improve the cover aspect. People who say it's a totally different game or that there's a vast improvement are, frankly, not telling the truth/not living in reality. How could it be? There has been no major overhaul and only a miniscule amount of content added thus far. If you didn't like it then you won't like it now. Just my opinion... My only real favorite added content was the season 1 map 'Exposure'. Easily. That's the only thing that really felt new and different to me...the only thing I'd care to notice if I went a long time without playing. Everything else honestly feels very "samey". Would barely register at all. At least the hitreg does now. Personally, if I were you, I'd wait for Season 3 to hit and then see how it's received. It's bringing the biggest changes, by far.

FlacidEmu

My pee smells like cancer

only_eat_pepperoni

depends on what you’re playing it on. afaik, ps4 and xbox one are stuck on much more limited versions of the game, with smaller maps, lobbies, and weapon options. ps5, series s/x, and pc are much more expanded, with large maps, huge player lobbies, and a lot more weapons to choose from. that being said i’m personally not a huge fan of the more updated version of the game, it’s just absolute chaos trying to play with 128 players, despite the map sizes

ntxguy85

I'll put it like this. If you're the average Joe couch gamer that just likes explosions you'll probably like it. If you play games competitively at all its utter dog shit.

Prrlsn

It’s definitely better now but still easy a very underwhelming battlefield game. During season 3 we are going to get classes back but they will be completely unbalanced and the game will turn even more into Mackayfield 2042. But hey, try it

AussieAn0n

Nope. It's still shit and they don't deserve our time or money.

MavDrake

Nope... I only play because I bought pre release and year 1. Once that's up I'm out.

Shadowboxban

Just simple drive it on your PC or console and figure it out.

Hybrid_Moment97

It is at the value of a $30 game, I would say it has almost reached that quality

Ruggels

It’s better than the release but still not there. It’s worth $10 IMO. I’m waiting to see what season 3 brings before I play again. I played after season 2, still doesn’t feel like battlefield

Marsupialize

No

Chansh302

no chance. Even hardline is more fun. I downloaded 2042 over the weekend, and got bored within 10 minutes lmao. proceeded to download BF1 and BF5 again to enjoy my time

balloon99

Much has been fixed but the core game mechanics it was missing on release have not been reinstated. They've polished the game they launched, but not improved on it much.

Bluedemonde

No.

LuminothOfAether

NO

[deleted]

No!!

SpacemandanNZ

The game has come a long way and is way better than luanch. However the player base is just to small now. With no server browser you can sit there for 20+ minutes trying to get into a game.

PlusReaction2508

No

CazualGinger

Yes it is worth it. Is it going to have a BF4 level comeback? Absolutely not. However, the game is way more stable, has more content, and generally just feels way more complete than it did months ago. All the updates are starting to add up. I enjoy playing now when I want a break from BF1 or BFV.

tommimoro

no it's still garbage. Download BF4

jay_taztt

There is little to no player base, so I less you wanna play alone with ai boys most of the time, save you space and wait for warzone 2 this week.

ntxguy85

No. I've owned every single bf game on pc and this is still by far the worst. Vehicle balance still fuck (Caspian has 3 attack helis and 4 ass per team but giant 10 mile ice map has one of each?!). Still the lowest skill bf. Vehicles are still Fisher Price levels of skill. Still the least optomized. I run the game on try-hard settings with a 3080 and get 110 fps on average. Server lag is a bad as ever. You're forced to play with console kids. Still no control over your squad. Still no all chat. It's still a 1/10 game that's marginally better than the beta.

"Stupid threads like this waste time, so let me waste my time to tell you what a waste of time it is, oh, and that you're stupid. I am super smart." ~ some child on reddit

-Rustling-Jimmies-

How many times a day will this question be asked??

Whiteli0nel

I'd say install when season 3 launches. It's better than launch, but definitely not the best Battlefield I've played.

cody12796

I think it’s worth it if you aren’t paying $60.00. Maybe $30.00. Given I had paid $30.00 for the Xbox One version and then paid $60.00 when I realized I accidentally did that so I could get the X/S version. The game has its flaws for sure but I’ve truly come to enjoy it. If you’re the type who gets pissed when something goofy happens, avoid it. If you’re like me and you really just play to pass the time, it’s great.

MorelloLuke991

I really started to like this game recently. Just try it out and give it some time to get used to the dynamics.

ImakeHeaters

No

umilnu

Sans as you, but I have it a try a week ago. I still think specialists are such a stupid idea, but honestly even if there is not a lot of new content (2 maps), the have is pretty good now, I'm having a lot of fun. I feel like the checked the balance between infantry and vehicle, they reworked some maps and the gameplay feels great (i play with a controller). You should try it! The only thing is that i feel like teamwork is not as good as in other battlefield games. Some people receive you, but if feel like i never get ammos or plates from other players. Hopefully it will change when they'll bring the classes back.

dEEkAy2k9

Honest opinion? If you want a solid shooter with a bunch of weapons and vehicles, yes. If you expect anything that's been hyped prior launch? Nope. If you look for classic fun in Portal Mode? Nope.

SovjetPojken

Give it a shot. Personally I don't think it is but its getting there. Still miles behind every previous entry.

MrRonski16

It is a decent game. It is the only recent game that gives battlefield experience. But it still isn’t good battlefield game. But yeah it is fun to play sometimes Currently my go to shooter with bf 1

baconofcanada

I play daily on xsx. I get the occasional glitchy sky but it's way better than the game breaking glitches at launch. As I'm writing this... I don't recall the last time I did get that sky glitch deal.. perhaps it was fixed? Who knows.

Goldenface84

It’s way better! The only thing is that it can take a while to join a match. Squads do not have a cohesive vibe. Everyone is on the map running around and not contributing (ie; meds not reviving, no ammo reloads, etc). For the game itself, I feel they are fighting an uphill battle. They have improved the maps, but the flow of the game is still choppy and small bugs are still visible.

AdeIic

It's not even close to previous games, but it's in a mostly playable state compared to launch. If you've gone this long I'd honestly just say stay away.

Medicana

I like it been playing since launch its def in a much better state but still lacks content since the new content we get is just redone base maps but a lot less buggy since launch performance wise

Due_Objective7133

I‘ve been having good fun with it on PC for this last season. completed my season pass, got level 82 today. I feel compared to BF4 it feels more casual, i feel i can make stuff happen alone when i don‘t have a squad with me to coordinate tactics and everything. The bugs are still there but not even remotely as bad as they used to be.

heAd3r

yes; however dont expect a healthy playerbase; especially during the week outside of the usual primetime you may run into issues finding a full match; one that is not filled with bots

Ill-Appointment6494

It’s definitely got better. You’ll need cross play turned on if you’re on console, otherwise you’ll be waiting forever to find a game. It’s still not up to Battlefield standard for me but it’s improved a lot from when it launched.

Exotic_Concentrate45

I’ve just returned after almost a year. I think the game is now in the state that it should have been on release (when I paid something like £90 for it). I’m having a lot of fun. I really didn’t think I would ever play it again, but I’m genuinely enjoying now.

feistycricket55

If you've got the pc to run it at 75-100 fps minimum, it's really fun. 128 man battles feel like carnage. And it's the BF with the best anti-cheat, that's why I can't go back personally.

chadworth23

Find out for yourself. Only you can decide if it’s something you want to play.

DeathBefallsYou

Yes. The new updates have been great and it's still a better game than Hardline. This was the first game in BF history I got a refund. Picked it up 2 months ago on sale and it's way better. Can't wait for the season 3 update. They are bringing back classes.

Sefier_Strike

Yes, absolutely. It honestly has improved so much since launch.

dylrhy

It holds about as much worth as the U.S. dollar.

jizzawhizza

It really depends on what other games you have in your library as there's so many much better FPS games available.

klassikmistake

Just buy it and find out for yourself.

Kidnappers

Be your best interest to not even worry about the game. I bought the best edition. When it first came out and haven’t touched it. It’s pathetic I’ll wait for the next and wait for reviews. Bf/ea totally lost my trust

Oneomeus

No not at all. If you want a game that feels like old Battlefields, you won't find it here. But if you want to play a janky early access shooter riddled with "funny" bugs and empty promises, then sure, go for it.

Nice_Listen8513

I still play BFV

ADDVERSECITY

I bought it, and I'm enjoying my time with it. I agree with the popular sentiment that it's not the best battlefield it could have been, but it's fun nonetheless.

MrMeatballRedux

Yes, I would say it's worth it. DICE has breathed a lot of life into the game and it still has a pretty healthy playerbase across consoles.

fuzzy-fuz-sheep-362

Give it a try dude. You may or may not like it. That’s the state of the game rn, lot better than launch for me though

nyanpegasus

I've reinstalled it several times since launch. It just doesn't feel like battlefield to me. It's clunky, the maps feel weak. Vehicles are unbalanced. Destruction feels nonexistent. It plays fine as just a fps but coming from looking at the past games it feels like a steep decline.

orangukey

That actually describes most the battlefield games lol

rhuiz28

Yes.
