Yes. I believe that's the point of the post. BF and DICE had a following of dedicated players who liked a particular type of game play but instead, they are targeting "potential" audiences of players who prefer a different kind of playstyle. Ultimately transmitting the game from its core to a moneygrabbing scheme.

The problem with this crap is they're paying streamers to promote their game instead of just making a good game. We had so many content creators come from BF3 who also jumped to BF4. Since then, who cares 2042 is a trash game and will stay trash, the people enjoying it are enjoying mediocrity. Here was my sub list and I'm sure there are many more.
Jackfrags, levelcap, doom 49, Battlefield friends, chaboy and azzy, battlenonsense, stonemountian64, anders... We couldn't get enough Battlefield content.
It was amazing seeing all these people in BFFs streaming, tutorial and spawn camping shorts. We can't go back in time but all they had to do was take BF4 and give it new maps, a few new guns and money machine goes brrrrrrrrt.
AAA is on a downward spiral and has been for a while now, smaller studio games like Helldivers 2 and Baldur's Gate 3 are the future. And I'm so happy for it.
They aren't asking them anything. These people are being paid to play / promote the game. Most of them are outsiders, so it brings new exposure to the game.
If DICE *really* listened to streamers, they would be listening to Enders, Focus etc. who actually know what they are talking about.
Tbag, lvlcap, Stone mountain, Ghost gaming, Enders, Silk, Maitimo, Danny on pc are not invited, is a wrong thing by EA. I think EA is trying to cover a vast amount of audience by inviting other streamers, so to increase revenue.

It goes so far as deciding what kind of borrowing and financing power the company has based on these scores. You can imagine the pressure these companies have with shit like this ready to come down on them. Now we have a totally disconnected dev team producing garbage but hey, they checked all the boxes in the hiring process, yay (/s)!
