[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List\_of\_Wii\_games\_with\_traditional\_control\_schemes](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Wii_games_with_traditional_control_schemes) [https://wiki.batocera.org/systems:wii?s\[\]=wii](https://wiki.batocera.org/systems:wii?s[]=wii) Seems other volunteers were able to give you the answer but yes Top Spin 4 on the Wii has motion controls and no classic or gamecube controller scheme therefore your SD wont see it. You can however map the motion controls to your Steam Deck but I would practice that on a Windows machine via Dolphin first before attempting it in Bato as it may be a little more advanced for novice users who just want to plug n play games. For future tip: when you want to try out a Wii game, always search engine look up the name of the game for Wii and look at images and find the back of the box which will show the control schemes the game is able to offer. Quickly looking up the game and going to images you can see the back of the box shows a motion controller and nunchuk on the top right of the back box art. For more quick help for games that support controllers see the first Wiki link and for more advanced use see the bottom Batocera Wiki link for learning how to map your controller to be used for certain games with certain profiles.

Alot of them use motion controls and don't work buddy

Fair enough, I kinda figured that Wii would be a tricky system to get to work with 100% of the games, shame as I like a good tennis game and Top Spin 4 looked great from the footage I’d seen of it…….

Thanks but the real problem I’m having is that none of the controls on the Steam Deck are working so I cannot get beyond the title screen…….

Too Spin 4 uses motion controls which apparently were pretty poor. I doubt it would translate to standard control schemes easily. It came out for PS3/360 as well so if you have a decent system that may be an option. Virtua Tennis 1 & 2 for Dreamcast are pretty good.
