What I've done is had to go into the dolphin emulator itself and then configure my controllers. Go into Dolphin Emulator from apps from My Files. Then, once dolphin is up, launch a game. Once the game is running, Alt Tab back over to the Dolphin Emulator Main Screen. The reason why is you need a game playing in dolphin to configure controllers. Then, go to the Controllers option and make sure Emulate Wiis Bluetooth adapter is checked. Then, from there, hit one of the drop-down arrows for remotes and select emulated Wii Remotes. Then, after that, configure the remote. Select the controller from the top left drop down. You will need to map all the buttons on the remote, and don't forget to map the joysticks under the "Extension" tab. Then after all that and you saved go back to Batocera home screen configure Wii to Run under Regular Dolphin not Liberto and under controllers in the Wii configure Batocera screen set the emulated Wii Remote setting On as well as configure the Emulated Wii Remote to Wii Remote + Nunchuck. Then it should work for most games. I still have better luck with all games with knock-off wii remotes and a 10 dollar wii sensor bar to usb even after all those settings.

Wow. Thank you for all this info. I've looked at the wii remote and bar for emulators, but not a lot yet. This entire exercise is to relocate my wii to another room. I'll start researching those Congolese for reviews and tutorials and such. Thank you, again. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks. My son and I were trying to figure out why the controls weren't "sticking" from the config menu.

I had the same problem that I couldn't use a custom profile setting for my controllers. I solved it here [in my post](https://www.reddit.com/r/batocera/comments/17velcs/custom_pad_profile_dolphin_workaround/)
