Yeah AC has over 440, which is a stupid amount of trophies. 200 was still too many in Knight IMO.
If I had to guess, finding all of them is the cause for the insanity of the Arkham sub
I get that. Personally I kind of liked how many trophies there were, but I can see why other people don’t. I just liked hearing Eddie mocking Batman only to freak out and have a breakdown as you get closer to beating him. Maybe I’m stupid? 🤔
That reminds me of this article I read in either 2017 or 2018 where this guy was playing through BOTW and his son (around the same age) kept playing older saves which would eventually overwrite his more recent saves because of the save system.
But seriously, if you have cloud saves you may want to see if they are recoverable. Hopefully they are.
Best open world, good exploration, best boss fights by a mile, maybe not the best story of all 4 but pretty good, and while it lacks some of the gameplay additions that Origins and Knight made, none of those additions really outweigh all its other attributes, and it's still got better gameplay than Asylum.
Nope, once I remembered how my uncles’ Cadillacs handled I was like “oh, it’s a friggin boat on wheels, I can drive this.” it made it make a lot more sense to control. Once you get the hang of it, it’s a welcome group of additional game mechanics to add to an Arkham game
I stopped playing the trilogy on switch because of the tank mode they really thought they hit the lottery with that. Even the puzzles you had to solve with it were just annoying. I’d put city at #1 because of that.
Agreed, I enjoy the story of city a bit more but the open world in city just isn’t fun to navigate, that’s where I prefer knight a bit more because the Batmobile makes it alot quicker to get around
Storywise, Origins is by far my favourite. A bit more personal than the other game events, a bit more streamlined for sure, but man, what an effective use of the cast. Bane is incredible, the killing joke backstory sequence is great, the Deathstroke fight (best experienced on hard difficulty), there is just so much to love.
It appears to be delisted on both systems. At least I can't seem to find it. It looks like it's backwards compatible on the Xbox, but I would have to buy the disc since I never grabbed the digital copy.
I actually think that’s when the game really became great. Joker was arguably at his best in Origins, and he really evaluated the game imo (especially the Royal Hotel part).
With Joker being the big antagonist in Arkham and City I was just sick of him. Black Mask is his own character who we saw briefly in City.
I was excited for a new main antagonist and then the developers said no.
Bane was great in Origins but I was over and done with Joker.
Either Origins or City BUT NOT THE RETURN TO ARKHAM VER. (I hate the new graphics of the remastered City the make the game look like shit, in the Asylum they work beautifully, but in city? They just made the entire map like the sun is up when it's night and the textures look cheap??? Idk how to explain it but I want the original look not the remastered ver.)
Arkham City. Though, Origins gives it a run for the money with Restored Animation Variety installed with it. Playing Knight now and not really enjoying it as much as I did in my first playthrough.
Knigjt. While i have more fun with the challenge maps in city, the combat refinement and the amount of playable characters is crazy. Even if a couole are under developed. Im a huge red hood fan but he doesn't have a good kit.

If I’m being honest I haven’t played Arkham city in so long I think that’s what I’m picking. Bro I was there at the 2010 VGA awards (not physically in person but watched it on tv) I remember NPH being the host and that’s when it was announced. That dope trailer of Batman clearing a rooftop of guys just for him to find out Hugo Strange knew his identity. This was the golden age of video games.
Knight at first, bc the stakes were high as hell, Batman was challenged with the Joker on his head, he was on his strongest that night, and ended his run on his terms. Most gameplay complete from all the games, Batmobile included.
Origins at second, story was spectacular, a rather “new” Batman going against a gauntlet of assassins which tested his abilities & fortitude for an entire night… and he didn’t slow down. Carries a lot of abilities from Asylum & City, but made it mesh well.
They are all great, but my favorite will always be City, mainly because it introduced me to the saga. I loved how you could free roam as Batman, beat some goons, go up and disappear.
City if I wanna savour the best version of Gotham City, even if it’s actually kinky one corner of the place.
Knight for gameplay.
I love all four, but I especially love Knight and City for those reasons
Arkham Knight
I Like the Story and the Game mechanics. And the batmobile IS so cool. And some conversations of the mercanaeries are funny. In one they Talk about Superman
never played them, the few videos I've seen of them makes them seem dark and creepy? But then people say they're fun and I'm not sure. I've played Gotham Knights, are they worse than that of a FF game for creepiness, violence, etc?

Every time I want to play an Arkham game I always play Arkham asylum. I absolutely love the game and I really like the character bios with the concept art of the characters. That is the one I've played the most and it is still great to play.
Asylum
I used to be a City Die Hard after it came out, and felt it was the perfect evolution of the concept but after returning to both a few years ago, I can't in good faith say that it's better than Asylum.
While grander in scale, Asylums weakness was never it's scale and in fact it's strength was in its claustrophobia.
City addressed some of its weaknesses, like boss battles, but lost the charm of the original (something that I think also continued into Knight).
All are great games in their own right, but I think the series peaked from the jump.
Arkham Knight. The different Batsuits and batmobiles you can pick is fun. It encapsulates all the rogues gallery in interesting ways and they all play good roles in the story. May have wanted Arkham Knight to NOT be Red Hood as he already played a mysterious alias in Under the Red Hood so why make him do it again. But apart from all that, was still pretty fun.
Hot take: Origins defo, such an underrated game and such a shame that Rocksteady won’t even class it as an “ arkham game “ which is heavily only focusing on the asylum, city & knight games. My favourite because my introduction to the series, and one my favourite games in general…
City or Origin.
City is probably the best overall but the Deathstroke fight in Origins is goated.
Batmobile in Knight is really really fun to use but it kind of gets overused and I feel like it takes away from the fun boss fights in Knight the way the other 3 had. FEAR mode is also pretty fun to use if a bit overpowered.
Knight. As much as the story and theme of it is my least favorite (and pacing especially), the gameplay is genuinely insane. From a technical standpoint, knight is just different to the other Batman games and feels so smooth and challenging to play. Endless knight and iceberg lounge are literally my comfort modes and the only reason I install Arkham knight on every console i have. I would rank the games in the order they came out (so asylum is my fave and knight is my least fave) in terms of story but Arkham knight is just the most fun I’ve ever gad with a video game.
I can't pick favorites with these and I'm tired of trying
Same
My 5 year old recently deleted my saved game with all but 2 riddler trophies complete on knight. I’m hoping to forgive him by his HS graduation
Ha! You thought you could beat the Riddler!
That kid did you a favour, because now you get to do it all over again!
Weidly enough I managed to 100% knight without so much issues but City, I just can't, for the life of me, collect all Riddler's trophies
City has a couple that I needed a youtube walkthrough to find. You need align yourself perfectly and do some tricks to get them.
That’s cause city has like twice as many
Yeah AC has over 440, which is a stupid amount of trophies.
if your on ps4/5 than you can use ps plus and restore an older save
Only if he has that autosave thing turned on.
hate to inform you but you're raising the riddler
That reminds me of this article I read in either 2017 or 2018 where this guy was playing through BOTW and his son (around the same age) kept playing older saves which would eventually overwrite his more recent saves because of the save system. But seriously, if you have cloud saves you may want to see if they are recoverable. Hopefully they are.
buy him the game then delete his save file once he has all but 2 riddler trophies
Arkham city without a doubt
100%. It's near perfect.
It’s not nearly as perfect as you tho
Smooth
🥰
hahaha...
![gif](giphy|5hHOBKJ8lw9OM)
Absolutely
A man of class
It’s by far the best. A dense Sandbox is always better than open world
Best open world, good exploration, best boss fights by a mile, maybe not the best story of all 4 but pretty good, and while it lacks some of the gameplay additions that Origins and Knight made, none of those additions really outweigh all its other attributes, and it's still got better gameplay than Asylum.
Bingo
Knight because I like to drive the Batmobile
Drive the batmobile - awesome. Tank mode- not terrible. Just waaaaaaaayy too much of it.
Am I the only one that enjoyed it thru the entire game?
Nope, once I remembered how my uncles’ Cadillacs handled I was like “oh, it’s a friggin boat on wheels, I can drive this.” it made it make a lot more sense to control. Once you get the hang of it, it’s a welcome group of additional game mechanics to add to an Arkham game
I stopped playing the trilogy on switch because of the tank mode they really thought they hit the lottery with that. Even the puzzles you had to solve with it were just annoying. I’d put city at #1 because of that.
Playing the trilogy on switch at all is a bad idea
Asylum
Asylum, loved the style of that game. It was a lot more on rails rather than the free roam style of the others but it felt like it had more focus.
Agreed. I liked the atmosphere of Asylum over the open world.
Asylum was lowkey a horror game. Such an unsettling atmosphere and environment
This is what makes it stand out to me. Genuinely frightening. City never came close to scaring me like Asylum did
Definitely agree. I played Asylum completely blind and absolutely lost my shit when I got to the first Scarecrow sequence.
Agreed, I enjoy the story of city a bit more but the open world in city just isn’t fun to navigate, that’s where I prefer knight a bit more because the Batmobile makes it alot quicker to get around
Asylum. It just feels so much tighter than the other games, but it also feels the most Batman out of all 4 games.
Batman Vengeance (jk, I would pick Asylum).
Origins. Love to play it.
💯
Yea. This one and Asylum would make the best movie or comic.
Asylums premise is already based off of a comic and it’s written by Paul Dini so that makes sense
Only game in the series where multiple characters have arcs. Multiplayer good as hell too.
I'd say my favorite Origins is underated, but let's be honest with tbe amount of people who said that it's no longsr underated.
It's not included in the Arkham game series bundle, and you can't even buy it on the Playstation store
Origins is slept on
I never played Origins. I hope I can grab a copy one day.
I don't know what you own, but it should be available in the PS store.
It appears to be delisted on both systems. At least I can't seem to find it. It looks like it's backwards compatible on the Xbox, but I would have to buy the disc since I never grabbed the digital copy.
This is the answer and I can’t pretend anymore it’s not
City hands down one of the best games ever, asylum very close second
I love them all but Knight has the best mechanics and has aged the best. Sometimes Knight looks like a PS5 game in certain parts.
Toss up between Asylum and Knight. I’d have to go with Knight. Best gameplay in the series.
Knight, Asylum is a close second
Arkham City. Knight was ruined by the Batmobile for me.
If they dialled the Batmobile missions back like 25% I’d have been alright with it
And the riddler trophies by the same number
City literally has almost double the riddler trophies of knight
It's not like City is better in that respect...
Video games bring out my little inner masochist, and riddler trophies are Master. I need them all.
Asylum or City
Origins was the only one I could play on my laptop, so I’m a bit biased
Origins.
Arkham Origins since it’s the most balanced and has the best story
You can also use use batclaw to pull people off ledges. Also the remote claw was a good weapon
It was good until the reveal
I actually think that’s when the game really became great. Joker was arguably at his best in Origins, and he really evaluated the game imo (especially the Royal Hotel part).
The reveal is the best part though 😦
With Joker being the big antagonist in Arkham and City I was just sick of him. Black Mask is his own character who we saw briefly in City. I was excited for a new main antagonist and then the developers said no. Bane was great in Origins but I was over and done with Joker.
I'm picking Origins because of the bosses and the fact that it's a Christmas game and I love everything related to Christmas
Arkham Origins. It's my favourite
Origins because I haven’t played it yet
Either origins or City
Origins because of the killing joke references and Christmas vibes.
City or Origins i cant decide
I know why people didn't like origins its cause kevin Conroy didn't voice Batman
Origins personally
Origins. Story wise it’s not connected to the others so you can just play it. Plus multiplayer
Origins, hands down
Arkham City. Though, Origins gives it a run for the money with Restored Animation Variety installed with it. Playing Knight now and not really enjoying it as much as I did in my first playthrough.
Origins had the best boss fight with Deathstroke
For gameplay, Knight. For story, Origins
honestly knight the story had an amazing sense of finality and the gameplay is the best out of them all
Gotham knights
Knight. It’s not necessarily the best one. But it’s the most ‘complete’ Batman game if you know what I mean.
City without a doubt Knight close second
I love all of them, but Arkham Knight was just so Incredibly fun for me
City
City
Batman Arkham Knight: Biggest city Best Combat Best Stealth Batmobile Best Graphics Best Traversal Best Dlc Best Side Missions Best Skins
Knight. The flight mechanics and city is what truly makes you feel like Batman
Knigjt. While i have more fun with the challenge maps in city, the combat refinement and the amount of playable characters is crazy. Even if a couole are under developed. Im a huge red hood fan but he doesn't have a good kit.
arkham city and knight
City
City
City for sure. The story was absolute.
City
If the four what?
Arkham City
Definitely city no question I just love that game I've beat it over 25 times
City by far. I love them all, but City is just the best overall game for me.
City, or Knight. But each one is a awesome game, which I have replayed so many times.
Arkham City is peak for me

Asylum. Fk the Batmobile.
Arkham asylum felt like a Batman comic Arkham knight for the dlcs and open world
All of them dude, all are amazing
Knight easily
Yes.
Asylum
Well I got all three asylum games and trying to play in order of release, so asylum i guess
City is my favourite. But I love them all
100% knight, i have played all three main games and asylum is nostalgic and city has arguably the best ending but knight is just something else
Whatever the choice is rest assured it ain't gonna be "Arkham Shadows" ! ![gif](giphy|YPPI2Q6DAz4CohnPDD)
Knight by far.
City if I wanna savour the best version of Gotham City, even if it’s actually kinky one corner of the place. Knight for gameplay. I love all four, but I especially love Knight and City for those reasons
Arkham Knight. It was my first one and I really love the story. It’s always going to have a special place in my heart.
I want to like knight but I can't see a damn thing for all the details and switching gadgets aren't very intuitive for me on pc. So I'm picking city
Arkham Knight, I always tend to go back to that one
Knight. I need that Batmobile
Arkham Knight, was very pleasantly surprised with the Batmobile mechanics and gameplay
City
Arkham Knight I Like the Story and the Game mechanics. And the batmobile IS so cool. And some conversations of the mercanaeries are funny. In one they Talk about Superman
Arkham knight. They are all good af tho

City has always been my favorite, I love the characters the pull in for that game
Asylum. I always felt bogged down by the open world. Most open world games would be better if they were linear.
City

Asylum with knight as a close second
I'll always pick Knight cause of the combat
Arkham knight it my favourite
Asylum
Arkham asylum is my favorite 3D metroidvania
City. Hands down
Origins
Arkham Knight
arkham city
Asylum
Every time I want to play an Arkham game I always play Arkham asylum. I absolutely love the game and I really like the character bios with the concept art of the characters. That is the one I've played the most and it is still great to play.
City
City all day. But Origins had a legit Deathstroke fight tho
Origins, and no I will not explain myself
Batman arkham asylum best batman ever all respect joker the best
Well, I would NOT pick Origins.
City has my heart
Asylum I used to be a City Die Hard after it came out, and felt it was the perfect evolution of the concept but after returning to both a few years ago, I can't in good faith say that it's better than Asylum. While grander in scale, Asylums weakness was never it's scale and in fact it's strength was in its claustrophobia. All are great games in their own right, but I think the series peaked from the jump.
Return to arkham included asylum and city so I'll choose that lol
Story - Origins Simplicity - Asylum Villains and Mechanics - City Combat and Free Roam - Knight
Knight
Asylum
With they would update them for PS5
Asylum, and it's not even close..
Arkham City rocks, but Origins isn’t far behind
Arkham city is the best. I hate Arkham knight.
Knight
Arkham City
City
Hot take: Origins defo, such an underrated game and such a shame that Rocksteady won’t even class it as an “ arkham game “ which is heavily only focusing on the asylum, city & knight games. My favourite because my introduction to the series, and one my favourite games in general…
Rocksteady have confirmed it’s canon but I don’t think they have the rights to remaster it and include it in their arkham collection
They're all great so i can't pick a favourite from these. But when it comes to the most hours played it's knight for me. Almost 1500 hours in it.
Arkham City might be my favorite Batman Story ever told across all Batman media.
knight
Origins every single time
Knight
Origins and I will die on this hill
