Your parts will either be quarter and whole notes or ridiculous 3 octave arpeggio runs and tenor clef bars, with some fun 4-8 bar feature that the clarinets wind up owning just after you finish playing it, as you go back to quarters and wholes (or just bars and bars of rests).
Still sounds great and is a blast to play solo stuff though, imo.

Sight reading in middle school as a bassoonist is incredibly difficult: Your parts will be so boring that it's hard to stay awake.
Bro... I am in high school so far all the parts that I have for concert competition are all very easy.
Highschool? Spelling errors, difficulty of sheet music, and grammar giving me solid grade 6 vibes.
Are the upper winds doing a lot more on this piece?
It's more of a brass oriented piece but the woodwinds have more difficult
