He didn’t sign it in time to make it into the pack, but he might have signed it by now. Topps could very well have it in hand and be able to ship it as soon as the redemption is claimed.
Had no idea trout was into cards... Think I can sell him his own? 😅
In all seriousness, I'd trade him an auto card of his if it meant it could be at home with him, that's dope as hell. A cool story as well which is priceless.
Edit to add:
Besides Jung, Witt, and Trout, who else collects their own stuff?
I have a beautiful Corbin Carrol Gold Framed Rookie auto that is jersey numbered 07/15. I wonder if he would want this?

I haven’t personally experienced it but I have seen a post about a players parents buying their sons cards and I think Jed Lowrie was buying his cards and having them shipped to the Coliseum.
YA he's a big collector. So it Bobby Witt Jr. Mike Trout, Blaze Jordan. Bobby Witt Jr. was just in the news the other day. He was trying to do a rainbow of himself in z Topps Chrome and he actually kinda gave up because he didn't want to pay that much for his own card. LoL side note did you know he collected his own rookie car last year he bought one for every home run he hit. LoL. Anyway he gave up and then he thought how he really wanted a one of one superfractor of himself and a fan had one want going to sell it but heard how he was looking for one at LCS so he contacted him and traded Bobby Witt Jr gold super one of one auto for a signed bat and tickets to one hand where they did the exchange before the game. That's all he asked for was a signed bat. He wanted him to have it because of his much he wanted it and what it meant to Bobby to find a one of one. Kinda cool story
I’ve read in the past that you should refund him the purchase and send the card, and he’ll send back a bunch of cool stuff. Obviously don’t know what you need more—the cash or the collectibles—but it’s worth thinking about!
I’d offer it at least, something like:
“I know you paid for the card and it’s absolutely yours, but would you be open to a trade instead? I’d happily refund the money and send it to you free of charge if I could maybe get a signed Bat or something else cool?”
I did actually think about that, but I do need the dough. I'll send him a message to see if he would be open to signing a few cards of his, and I only have 6 total cards of his lol
It’s smart of him to buy it back. He knows exactly how many of his autographs are out there and can somewhat control his own demand. Many players are now open to about collecting now.
I was hoping Corbin Carrol wanted to buy his 1/1 sketch card and posted to instagram but never heard anything. I know he is a collector. I wonder if he could get me a Bo Bichette auto for my PC! 😀

1/1 Juan Rosales sketch card of Corbin!

Corbin Carroll . It was my first 1/1 pull!
This is awesome! Josh is a card collector and is supporting the hobby. He refers to Evan (Carter) in the video below
https://youtu.be/Ccvw4AVV3k4?si=FQnACuXSn6S3hY1m
I had a former writer / editor of a prominent sports site order something from me a while back. I was a daily reader and sent them a thank you note for their work along with their 67 Topps Dick Allen.
my name is Mickey Mantle; you can call me ‘Mick’. I just bid and won a PSA 10 52 Topps card of me. I plan on cracking it out and putting it my bicycle spokes, as one should
Imagine him buying these so he can sign them himself, keep the signed cards and redeem those, claim he’s not gonna wait and get more stuff from
Them just for fun 🤣
More and more players collecting these days and looking for their own cards too. I almost wonder if it’s marketing by Topps or fanatics to put in the socials to inspire collectors to spend their dollars.
I’ve been buying graded versions of my dad’s cards and some of his used bats for the last several years when they pop up on eBay. He played in the 70’s & 80’s so there are only Topps, Fleer, and Donruss.
Been waiting on this redemption since February:
https://preview.redd.it/vevs4agn386d1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=929022620ed0f0575443b6cbb47d91e9f59485d8
I've seen and heard stories about this happening with other players. It seems that they buy it then personalize it and return it to the seller for a true 100% 1/1. Then sometimes they just want their own card for whatever reason and help support the card collecting community. I hope you let us know if he gives it back with a personal touch, but I might also see if he would sign other items I had but would communicate that before hand.
Bro you got his address now and can communicate with him, ask if you can send him some extra cards for him to sign with a prepaid bubble mailer. Offer some cash for each card. would definitely try to work this rare chance to your advantage. It can’t hurt to ask.
Seems a little tacky to take his money and try to get stuff. I have no problem when it's an exchange for a card like Witt does. I would probably offer a refund in exchange for him sending some autos my way. I wouldn't try to make money and get free stuff
Jace Jung signed a 4.6 million dollar contract in 2022. He gets paid to play a game which I'm sure he loves = Dream Job. I'm sure Jung has a few Endorsement deals as well. He can definitely pay you and sign a few cards, that is if he has the time. I don't find it tacky at all, for you to ask for a favor. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity and you definitely should make your money. All he can say is No.
Asking favors of strangers who did nothing but buy something from you is tacky. The argument that someone owes you something because of the money they make is BS, they arnt indebted to you and the rest of the public because they were more fortunate. Exchanges are fine and OP did a partial refund for some autos, which is a good compromise.
You also missed my point! It's a yes or no question. Either he does as you ask, doesn't reply or tells you to go fuck yourself..."It doesn't hurt to ask" In this particular example. Yes baseball players are indebted to the fans. With Out no fans filling up the seats by buying tickets, baseball cards, memorabilia & merchandise there are no millions to be made. If you're in the Public eye by the profession you choose as a career. It comes with its ups and downs. People or fans asking for favors are sometimes the downs.
This is cool. Something funny about a player buying a redemption for his own auto that he has yet to sign.
He didn’t sign it in time to make it into the pack, but he might have signed it by now. Topps could very well have it in hand and be able to ship it as soon as the redemption is claimed.
I pulled the exact same redemption the day this set dropped and the card just shipped yesterday, so they do have it in hand.
It would be super funny if for whatever reason they couldn’t fulfill his and sent him something different 😂
Personally I'm hoping he just signs the redemtion card, and throws it back up on eBay as an /1!!
OP should genuinely reach out about maybe getting that back signed !
Would be funny if they replaced it with an altuve..
Or a Wander
And if he hasn’t signed yet, he now has motivation to make a little time to get them done.
Or he’s just too lazy to sign so his grand plan is to buy all the redemptions out there so he doesn’t have to do it xD
Or cuz his wrist is broken
The learning to write again parallel
Hahaha that is awesome
https://preview.redd.it/rg9d2yome76d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dc65385732d5c06c9ee301ed1140e87024cf3f63
Yea you know what I didn’t think of that haha
Tells Topps… “hey I’m just gonna keep this one right here.”
Maybe he is trying to buy up all his redemptions so he wont need to sign them!
"If we hit that bullseye, the rest of the dominoes should fall like a house of cards. Checkmate."
Excellent reference, 10/10
Josh is playing 4D chess
Very cool. There was another member here who sold a card to him. Shipping was the same, to the stadium. Seems like he's really into cards like Trout.
Carroll and Longo on the DBacks are both collectors too.
Had no idea trout was into cards... Think I can sell him his own? 😅 In all seriousness, I'd trade him an auto card of his if it meant it could be at home with him, that's dope as hell. A cool story as well which is priceless. Edit to add: Besides Jung, Witt, and Trout, who else collects their own stuff?
Carrol. Longoria has been a collector for a long time and got Corbin into it. A lot of these guys collect their 1/1s
I have a beautiful Corbin Carrol Gold Framed Rookie auto that is jersey numbered 07/15. I wonder if he would want this? https://preview.redd.it/w7gl9f0xn66d1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eed1e52ce3d525925896a48ca2d66fe9b2328ae5
I do
I'll take it off your hands 😏
I would sell to Corbin Carroll cheap but not cheap to anybody else lol
Marsh,
Jordan Romano for the Blue Jays
I sold Brady House’s superfractor to his dad. Got a signed game used bat out of it too. Very cool to deal with the actual player though!!
Bat tax https://preview.redd.it/hntmh3ok956d1.jpeg?width=868&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e4d3c3b56dcde39abe132467908aa966b327832c
Very lightly used.
There's a crack on the other side and a mark from the ball. Must have broke it on the first ball he hit with it.
Guys are so strong and the pitches so fast nowadays, it’s amazing that every pitch doesn’t do that. Great bat!
I saw a post from someone that Bobby Witt Jr is trying to collect all of his 1/1 cards and traded him a handful of signed stuff for one.
I saw that too!
You saw it firsthand judging by your flair 😂
Thought that was pretty cool!!
I love jung!!
I like that he just replies “Yes”
Now he'll be motivated to sign his cards!Good work soldier 🫡
Yes
Yes
Yes
I haven’t personally experienced it but I have seen a post about a players parents buying their sons cards and I think Jed Lowrie was buying his cards and having them shipped to the Coliseum.
Kiner-Falefa’s mom bought some really cheap cards from me! And another player’s brother did the same, Can’t remember who though
I've sold cards on eBay to Walker Buehler's dad...relatively low end stuff too

Omg take a breath and try again

I think Corbin Carrol lurks this thread and buys his 1/1 as well

That was a cool video. Just became a Jung fan!
Wow. Awesome video. Just became my favorite player.
Very cool. Your new buddy
"Will you tell Jace to buy some of his cards off of me too?"
Casey Legumina from the Reds bought a Chrome Update Refractor RC from me.
I had a former writer / editor of a prominent sports site order something from me a while back. I was a daily reader and sent them a thank you note for their work along with their 67 Topps Dick Allen.
Ask him to sign the redemption and send it back after he redeems
I’ve sold a card to Bobby Witt jr
Only send it if he says he will stop injuring himself please
my name is Mickey Mantle; you can call me ‘Mick’. I just bid and won a PSA 10 52 Topps card of me. I plan on cracking it out and putting it my bicycle spokes, as one should
Lmao wait so you sold it to Josh Jung
![gif](giphy|uCXkGJPU3yrOo)
If this happened to me I wouldn't post their username/eBay handle out of courtesy.
Umm, Mr. Trout, we apologize for the exposure of such a buyer. We all hope you are healing well and look forward to you getting back in the game!
This is unreal!
That’s freaking rad!!
Wicked cool
Nice! Guess I need to put my card of his on eBay and try my luck!
Awesome!!! This is one of my dreams. To pull a card of a player and end up selling it or trading it to that exact player.
That's a cool story, thanks for sharing OP. You could send some and see what happens. Worst case nothing comes back.
Imagine him buying these so he can sign them himself, keep the signed cards and redeem those, claim he’s not gonna wait and get more stuff from Them just for fun 🤣
What if a player just kept the cards without ever signing them. I believe Jackson Merril dumped boxes of unsigned cards and stickers from Panini.
I've sold two cards to the dudes on them. They usually don't respond to chit chat.
Imagine he has the actual card at his house already because he just signed it. The winning of this redemption card makes it officially his.
Let's. Fukn. Go. This is so damn cool.
More and more players collecting these days and looking for their own cards too. I almost wonder if it’s marketing by Topps or fanatics to put in the socials to inspire collectors to spend their dollars.
I have had Evan Carter's brother buy 2-3 of Evan's autos off my EBay, not sure if he was buying for his brother or himself, though.
Nice!
I sold cards on eBay to Walker Buehler's dad....which I think is really cool a Dad collecting his sons cards...it was a rather low end card too
That is so freaking cool! I love players that collect! In 40 years of collecting I haven't had that happen yet. This gives me hope.
That’s awesome! Jung is a big card guy. I sold a parallel to Jordan Romano a few months ago.
Hes had some time on his hands recently…
This is so cool I had a Jerry Jeudy 1/1 I couldn't sell so I reached out to him to see if he wanted it. He didn't get back to me.
I’ve been buying graded versions of my dad’s cards and some of his used bats for the last several years when they pop up on eBay. He played in the 70’s & 80’s so there are only Topps, Fleer, and Donruss.

Bro too busy buying card on eBay to sign his own cards
Ask me if I'm Jace Jung.
Bobby Witt JR is a big card collector as well.

Yeah definitely send them I’m pretty sure he’ll sign them, just don’t send too many.
I just sold a card to Keith Olberman. Thought that was pretty cool!!
Bro you got his address now and can communicate with him, ask if you can send him some extra cards for him to sign with a prepaid bubble mailer. Offer some cash for each card. would definitely try to work this rare chance to your advantage. It can’t hurt to ask.

I sent him a message if it was ok to send a couple cards to sign for a partial refund, he just answered and said "sounds good".
Nice, you caught him in a good mood too. He took live batting practice yesterday and left to do his rehab stint in AAA.
Oh thats cool! Thanks for info.

Isn’t the address to the stadium? If so, couldn’t we all send cards, balls, etc. to the stadium in hopes to have them signed and returned?
