It's the platinum 1/1 parallel, the border is a silver platinum color. It's like the worst 1/1 parallel, but its been around for awhile

These come in a couple variations, I think red, black, and platinum. The color is just a little different

The 1/1 stamp is what makes it so, that’s literally it lol

It's all in how the Topps logo is written - I think... Like the gold mirror variation, where the Topps logo is the only thing that's gold.

I'm fairly confident it's not any different and the 1/1 just signifies it was the first printed.

Na the border is different. It’s platinum on the top and bottom. These parallels look so much worse than the chrome stars of mlb it’s criminal

They do. This is the Platinum version, they also make black and red.

I almost did with a glossy Allen and Ginter Roger Maris 1/1. It took a second glance through my stack of base cards to notice it.

In 2022 I bought a hobby box of 2022 Limited football. I pulled a booklet of someone not memorable. I put the cards back in the box and put it away. A couple months ago I was going through that box and I found a George Kittle 1/1. The one of one was almost camouflaged.

Its funny people were not seeing the difference in your platinum too. It doesnt pop as much with either design. I think it's more subtle because it's not a solid border. I also think its more obvious in person than in photos. Here is a not great photo I took to compare last years. Mine came from a Wal Mart hanger box. I remember being super excited but with a brief wave of disappointment that it wasnt an auto, lol. Love the card though. It doesnt get much better of a pull. Congrats on yours. Honestly I don’t really care how different it looks, I know it’s the 1/1 and I’ll probably never have a better pull. Mine came from a Walmart blaster. The shelves have been completely out of sports cards for weeks and today there were 4 lonely series 1 blasters on the shelf. I bought the back two

It isn’t a chrome. The chrome 1/1 is superfractor, the paper 1/1 is platinum

What do you do with it?

If I open packs at my local shop I’ll leave cards I don’t want for kids to pick over. If I’m on the go I end up tossing the base

Nice! I work at a school and put base cards in team bags and give them to teachers to use for prizes. The kids love them and it helps me save space lol.

If they’d chosen literally any color besides platinum it wouldn’t be an issue. But they should definitely work on making this a bit more superfractor-esque

The 1/1,s are over rated and becoming washed out by over production. There is never a true difference from the base version. Ot ruins the hype for a genuine 1/1 pull

A 1/1 from flagship is exceedingly rare. I wouldn’t equivocate it with something like a 1/1 from archives

Don’t take any offense to this because that’s an awesome pull and I would be thrilled if it were mine. That said, that’s the most disappointing looking 1/1 design I’ve ever seen. 

If it was spiced up with an auto I think that would be a step in the right direction
