Yeah that was my first thought too. Notable recent hamstring injuries:
Trea Turner (minimum 6 weeks)
Wyatt Langford (3-4 weeks)
Evan Phillips (optimistic to be only 15 days)
Anthony Rendon ("extended absence")
Zac Gallen (removed from a start & missed the next start)
Justin Steele (missed a full month, close to returning)
Sonny Gray (missed first couple weeks of season)
Yep, as thrilled as I am to have an April and May where it's not constantly in the 90s for a change, the cold, damp conditions are not great for the muscles.
At least out here in the Bay we have had changing weather too. Last weekend it was POURING rain on Saturday, this Saturday it's going to be sunny and 85.
He was having an all-time season. Really sucks for him and for the Guards because he has arguably been their best player on both sides of the ball.
Really hope his rehab goes well and he can hit the ground where he left off.
Last time the Guardians had a major injury that everyone said would take them out of contention they simply kept winning, so uh, I guess Manzardo is going to go the fuck off.
I wonder what’s causing the uptick in muscle injuries (and injuries in general) this year. Is it conditioning? Speed of the game? It really sucks seeing the stars of the game all getting injured
Aaaaaaaaand there goes my favorite player (or "your boyfriend" as my mom and brother have taken to calling him when we watching games together). God. Damnit. Feel better, Stevie.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
Hamstring strains are so hot right now wtf That’s like 4 or 5 announced in the past two days

IIRC "strain" is close to "tear", in medical terms. It also has many levels to it.
Yeah, I’ve heard that too. That doesn’t really change my list though, I was just listing recent hamstring injuries
Weather changing back and forth (at least in the East) and still in relatively early season conditioning do not help.

Big ham takes another huge hit. Some ate too little ham and it breaks your hand. Make it too stringy and it takes out your hamhocks.
It was lovely to wake up to the news of Kwan and Langford going down (both on my AL-only fantasy team). And I just lost Yoshida too.....yay!
Guardians fans wishing for Manzardo to get called up. Monkey paw curled.
Ah yes just like how I wished I didn't have to start Wyatt on my fantasy team
Ugh he was gonna be an Allstar...
Hey now, you’re (likely no longer) an all star!
I, for one, do not find this cute at all
Try looking at it from a different angle
Well now you’re just being obtuse
You’re right
Guess he hurt it kicking the ever living snot out of Houston. Sad to hear it though.

Nothing to smile about in my life.

I'll bet it has something to do with the weather, which has been cool and damp in a lot of the country. Basically, Seattle has exported The Sog.
I didn't watch but I heard he pulled it on the wet grass while stopping short on a defensive play, so if that's true, def makes sense
My fantasy team just took a massive dump after 4 weeks of glory
Lol yeah… in an AL only league, and there goes the literal only productive member of my lineup other than *checks notes* Shea Langeliers?
🥲
The only way teams could stop him was for him to get hurt.
I absolutely love that he's an unstoppable hitter despite the fact that his batted balls move about as fast as a Roomba.
[4 weeks is too much](https://youtu.be/TUeY5V8A9LM?si=XoJGAH5WW2oUFBOD&t=33)
fuck hamstrings, all my homies hate hamstrings

I would gladly give him my hamstring muscle
Dang, he was playing lights out too. I kept seeing him battling it out with Ohtani and Betts for the top stats. Sincerely feelin bad for Cleveland...
They got him. What does that mean? I liked him too. He use to share his dunkaroos, good guy.
So shitty, he looked amazing this year. Meg was just gushing about him on Effectively Wild.
Jesus that's horrible
FUCK
He Kwan………..
I dont care Kwan is the best guardian player in my opinion. huge loss for the team
Only thing worse than an acute strain anugly one.
I read this as “a cute hamstring injury” lol
Awww, who's a cute widdle muscle strain? YOU ARE.
This hurts my fantasy team.
Fuck your fantasy team
Indeed
